Asad laughed dryly at the old man's words during the orientation. Awfully black and white words from the man charged with teaching them to be summoners. He couldn't help but agree with the old man though, he had seen and experienced the latter first hand after all but the woman who raised him probably fell into the category as well. "At least the old timer's honest." He muttered under his breath before waiting out the rest of the orientation in silence.
After the orientation He followed his fellow students to their classroom where he would begin his summoning training. The thought excited him and a familiar feeling took hold of him, a feeling she had instilled in him. An interest in summoning, the power to become more than himself through a bond with something entirely new. As he walked into the room he was resolved with how gung-ho HS was to be here's. The teacher, Oni, was super excited herself and that only served to escalate his mood further. He took a seat and examined the two books they were supposed to read: "The Basics of Summoning" and "Our World and the Others." He wasn't much of a reader but he was good at following orders, probably the only decent thing he picked up during his tumultuous childhood, so reading them wouldn't feel like too much of a chore. He watched the first couple students go to the front and demonstrate the summoning procedure he could barely stay seated he was so excited.
When the Avarius guy had finished and subsequently passed out, Asad bolted up to the front, grinning like a kid in a candy store nonchalantly stepping over the unconscious summoner. "Hey I'm Asad Dumas, an aspiring Blade Master!" To say the excitement in his voice was evident would definitely be an understatement. He laughed and gave an exaggerated flourish of his arm before turning his attention to the box and grabbing his own summoning catalyst: a snow globe. To the best of his ability he recreated the magic circle and placed the snow globe in its center. The bubbly excitement he had been exuding vanished as he knelt at circle replaced by pure undeterred focus as he placed his hand on it as the others did before him. His intense concentration coaxed his magical aura out, taking on a dark blue color as it flowed into the circle.
"I, Asad Dumas, call upon the ancient contracts of the past to summon thee, please, heed my call. Show thyself, Ice Elemental!" Deciding it would be better to get over with as fast as possible the snow globe began to glow and shake itself, the snow started to emit from the object creating a light snow shower in the circles border. When the glow subsided in its place stood a small girl with blue hair, lightly rubbing her eyes as if she was adjusting them to the new light. "Um hello. I have heard you. Do you need something of me?" Asad smiled lightly at the summon before speaking again. "In accordance to the ancient rituals, I, Asad Dumas, which is my real name, have summoned thee to form a contract. I have revealed my true name to you, may I have yours, little one? Growing up the way he had, Asad had only ever had one such opportunity to experience the sensation of a having a brain freeze, and that had happened the very first time he had eaten ice cream. He could remember the so clearly that he knew that the sensation he was feeling now as the Ice girl's memories flowed into his head was like that but an hundred times worse. He felt so cold as he was forced to delve through his own memories his breath was visible in the small area of cold they had created. My name is Eira. Are you alright Asad Dumas?" As soon as she had said that the brain freeze-like sensation lessened considerably and his body began to warm up again. "I'm fine now that we are one as the ancient contract decrees little one.""Our souls are one. I am Eira." He laughed lifting the summon into his arms. "And I am Asad Dumas." "Then Until the soul meets its end, we will be forever as one." He chuckled stumbling for a second before regaining his balance, as the adorable ice spirit vanished.
"I know this is supposed to be a serious moment and all, but was she not the most adorable ever?" He joked to everyone in the classroom.
