@Mokley Completely off topic, but I love the names that you come up with for your RPs just as much as I love all of the RPs of yours that I've been in. (Which is a lot)
@rechonq Thanks, he always puts a smile on my face.
It's OK @Mokley your rambling is the best and I still love you for it. (I don't know about any of you other people so I won't speak for you :P)
It's most fun to bring these types of characters through a harsh reality... Anise made it through quite well. Let's see how the Vincent brat does it.

NAME: Vincent David DeMoore

ABSTRACT: Cocky Teen with a Perfect Memory and Way too much Energy

DETAIL: Born to an old family of Rune Mages, Vincent is the heir to the family's legacy. He grew up without a want for anything on the family estate. He was an only child and got all the affection from his parents and grandparents. Because of this he grew up believing that he was the best thing in the world. Very quickly he learned that he never forgot anything he saw or heard and decided to make us of this talent the best he could.

On his sixteenth birthday as per family tradition his father created a magic item for Vincent: a writing implement that can write on anything. His father then donated the item he received from his father as was family tradition for the use of those that need it. His father then told him that there were always those less fortunate than themselves and had a responsibility to help those that needed it. Vincent didn't say anything, but he felt like he only had a need to take care of himself and that others were totally able to take care of themselves. He began his training as a rune mage the next day.

He only halfheartedly committed himself to learning as he could passively pay attention and memorize. Even so he ended up discovering that the entire theory and practice behind rune magics were extraordinarily difficult. His father eventually realized Vincent's lack of spirit about learning rune magic and on the eve of his 17th birthday, Vincent was sent to the Wall in an attempt to awe the boy into a change of heart. Little did his father know that this would be the last time they'd see each other.

MAGICAL INVENTORY: Vincent has a few sigils properly memorized and a single magical item created through rune magic gifted to him by his father.

He knows a sigil that creates a cup of water if drawn on an object that could be used as a container for water.

He knows a sigil that tells true north when used.

He knows a sigil that can stop bleeding, but isn't strong enough to actually heal a wound. It needs to make contact with the injured part of the body at some point or it will not work.

The magical item is a stylus styled pen that draws out white ink and can be used on any object. This item holds a piece of Vincent's father's soul and is very dear to the young man. The ink glows in the dark. It is a pen however, therefor mistakes are very much permanent until the ink wears out.
I think you thought my character took more steps away than he actually did, but I'm cool with it. I can roll with the story nice and easy.

North Hallway above Room 16

After he caught his breath from looting the body, Aedin made his way down the hallway. The only things worth mentioning from the corpse were the hatchet and the rope and the hatchet was in just as poor condition as the box cutter in his pocket. He wasn't about to complain though as he slipped it through a belt loop on the left side of his pants. For him it was just another tool. The rope was barely enough to hang yourself by, maybe all of five feet, but it was something. He tied it around his waist like a belt as he walked down the hall.

He came up to a curious rectangle of sheet metal cut out from the concrete of the wall. Whatever it was, the difference told Aedin that this was probably an important place. He banged his palm a couple times on the metal to see if the sound was hollow or if it had a solid feeling behind it. Then he tried turning on the cell phone to use the light it created to use it to inspect the garbage underneath it. After all, the greatest of tools could be found in garbage.

As he searched the garbage he began to wonder where the other people here were. He had a bad feeling about not meeting his mission to borrow something from someone.

Anise's focus was so strong on the lantern and the other lantern that she hardly heard what Morly suggested. She did not notice the presence of the spirits approaching from the dark side of the river. Before her she saw the colors of the blue lantern shift from violet to red to green to blue again. She then felt the dragon speak with a shaking of her bones. The force of the presence nearly brought her to her knees.

WHY?
Dragon

Anise's response came bravely against the fearsome Dragon's imposing presence. With everything that I have been through in this Forest I have gone through fear, madness, and death. I have even caused some of it. I met with two different groups, the Kith and the Pirates as the Kith call them. The Pirates believe you to be a destroyer and something meant to be separated and sealed away into the lanterns. The Kith believe you are a bringer of light and a protector of the forest. I have been attacked by one of the spirits that rules over this land, one that controlled dark spirits in attempt to end me before my friends saved me.

With your help, I can now see that there are spirits of the dead still lost here wandering aimlessly with no will left to themselves. Is that not a sad thing? Is it not sad to wither away without a chance of finding peace? To lose your very own self? One would be foolish to believe that everything in this forest was well. There is constant darkness and death brings a new form of suffering.

You ask me why I wish to be a protector? I shall tell you why. I want to bring peace to the spirits that have been here for too long. There are people here that have no real home to speak of and struggle day to day to survive. There ar-
She stopped mid-thought as the real reason dawned upon her as she revisited every memory she had of this place from when she arrived to now. She remembered with every raw emotion the struggle she had been through to make it to this point and the people that helped her get here. She then spoke and thought the true reason why she wished what she did so strongly. "No, the reason is... I love this forest and I simply want to do everything I can to make everything better for everyone." As she spoke this she felt several tears roll down her cheeks as pure emotion rolled through her like a storm.

She felt the boat rock as the waves from Reus hit them, and she looked over to see the wolf having leaped into the water in a blaze of fire. She could barely keep her balance from the rocking, but as far as she was concerned her balance didn't matter. The cried out as the water hissed from the fire touching it and the fire itself began to die out. She jumped off the ship as far as she could reach and struggled her way over to Reus with no regard for her own safety. She did everything she could to splash water into the fire and put it out and after several tries she managed to put the powerful flame out. Anise then did everything she could to help him back onto shore and when they made it she embraced him making sure to not aggravate the burns and spoke soothingly to him to calm him down. Much of what she said was repeated. She recognized that her lack of knowledge of medicinal arts would not help him, but even so she wanted to do everything she could to help her friend and protector feel better.
