I have a response, but after typing it out... I've realized that it's way shorter than I'm happy with, so I'll wait for @Mokley first before I get it up there.
@Jinxer Yeah I remember. I've never been black out drunk and how could I forget how pathetic a drunk I am when it comes to wine... :P But yeah I remember every single party I've been to and what happened around me during the parties.

@Teaistasty That sounds like a blast alright! I'd probably not touch (or even think of) alcohol for a few months after a party like that.

@c3p-0h Alright, ball's in your court.

Well, grats to your friend. I remember my 21st... oh what a night.
Outside of Room 16

Aedin lowered his hands as he noticed that the person was hanging from a noose. Subconsciously, he scratched his neck with a grimace. The body told him stories about this dark place all without saying a word. This whole place was sick, but he was going to do whatever he needed to survive and escape. While this wasn't his first experience with a corpse; he felt that this was pretty bad. The first time, he had definitely thrown up, but this time in order to avoid it he turned his back and counted to three in his head. One. Two. Three.

He then turned back around and pulled the tape gingerly off of the body's hands so he could grab the hatchet. He knew he'd have to take every advantage he could to survive. He then started to check the body's pockets while doing the best he could to not smell the body, maybe he could find something else useful here. Occasionally he spoke under his break. "It's okay Aedin, just a body. Just a body."

He then untied the body and settled it down onto the ground as leaving it hanging felt just wrong. Next he did the best he could to get the rope. Once he was done with all of that he took a breather a few steps away from the body.

Anise didn't care for the lack of clear response about the witch, but was definitely disturbed by the mention of her appearing behind her to surprise her. However, she felt confident with her new senses brought through the lantern that even if the witch did appear suddenly behind her, the surprise would be very much so lessened. Her disappointment grew further when Morly said that there was no way to peaceably deal with the griffons.

The vastness of what she felt when she turned her senses into the lantern left her feeling a awed and nearly overwhelmed by the power that she held. Then the flash of red interrupted any further thoughts she might have had about the lantern as her attention shifted to the individual hiding the light of their lantern. She sensed the person was frightened and yet determined, something she felt she could relate to perfectly. After all she felt the same feelings when she first arrived in this forest.

The lantern hooked onto the lantern that the other individual held and Anise saw flashes of fire not unlike the fire that happened not that long ago. The fire that this river put out. Anise could feel the raw power, the destruction that she could reap with that lantern. Beneath her hawk mask she wore a crazed grin very much like when she was in her murderous craze. That darkness she thought she defeated came back to her with a new level of determination.

The temptation to destroy whomever held the red lantern: the Lantern of Fire and take it for herself was very strong. All she had to do was use the power she held now in order to do so. Anise then gripped the Spirit Lantern tighter as she braced herself against the hunger for power and destruction.

Do you not want it? She felt the presence of Dark Anise returning. Poking, prodding, tempting. With this power you could do whatever you want. Why don't you just take it?

Anise closed her eyes and slowed her breaths. No. I will not let you consume me.

Dark Anise glowered dubiously in the dark corners of Anise's mind. Oh? But I am all consuming. You'll succumb to me yet. There will come a time where you'll need me. Why not take advantage of me now? You could use the... firepower to destroy the griffons as the pirate ship.

Anise put up her defenses harder than ever before. No. I have friends. Anise thought of the spirit of Tyaelaem that was still following from a distance. She thought of Reus whom chose to defend her against the Lord of Shadow despite his own lack of power. I am not alone. I am a protector, not a destroyer. I am a light in a dark cold place. She reopened her eyes with a fierce determination. I am the Lady of Light and I will protect those that cannot protect themselves. I will help those lost in the darkness and as soon as I find a way to return home I will guide the lost ones back to where they belong. Those dead and living. She projected this determination through the lantern as if to make a point that she was bound and determined to make her wishes a reality and in order to cleanse the darkness in her thoughts.

Indeed Happy New Year!

Looks like that's the truth there. Although we can count on Red being around here and there I'm pretty sure. :3
Room 16

Aedin scratched the back of his head with a big frown on his face. "Well gee whiz, not a prank and not a reality show that does me good. Well what in the heck is this?" He thought for a second before any response came through. "Y'know what don't even bother. I probably don't want to know anyways."

He looked at the previous texts. "Says that my first job is to borrow something from someone. I'm guessing there's more jobs to come, right?" At this point he was more talking to himself than anyone else, whether there was a response to his talking or not he didn't exactly care.

He grabbed the busted box cutter and the cloth and pocketed them. Then he hid the water bottle and last can among the garbage within the room. He then broke down the box and put it under the bed for the time being he figured there might be a need for it later. He then headed out the door as he spoke to the phone in an accusative tone. "So, what did you do to my arm?"

Outside of Room 16

Aedin looked up and down the hallway to see many other doors. Right across there was a room labeled Room ?? with faded text, the numbers were so far gone that he couldn't tell. As his gaze turned to the left after the door closed he saw a woman about his age. Holding a hatchet seemingly ready to strike at anything. She was only a couple steps away, so he took a few steps back with his hands -- phone in his left hand -- raised in front of him. "Whoa, hey! Careful now you could take an arm with that thing." The darkness was so bad that if he hadn't been operating by the light of the cell phone he would have not seen her unless he literally ran into her.
Room 16

Aedin's ears turned red with his embarrassment. Not only had he made a fool of himself by sending a terribly written message, but he also messed up by not even considering the fact that there may be a listening device somewhere. "Awww crap. Best. Day. Ever." He mumbled under his breath.

He cleared his throat and did a somewhat grandiose gesture with his arms and hands. As if he was showing off to an audience. He spun around the room scanning for cameras as he went. "Aight, is this a prank or something? Or is there some greater scheme behind this bagging and tagging?" He lightly patted his bandaged arm and winced in pain after he did.

Now that he thought of it this didn't seem like a King Street Wolves kind of act. Something was too game-showy about this. "I see we got food and water. We got something of a job. Is this some kind of sick reality show?" He didn't like being caged, but it didn't seem like his captors wanted to immediately kill him or anyone else here. He checked the screen of the phone and waited for the response.
