PINK FLUFFY UNICORNS, DANCING ON RAINBOWS

Damn it, I'm blue.
Elayna had fallen silent after escaping the Necromancer's lair. No shouts of victory, no bright expressions. Just a sigh, and dead air. You know, after all they'd been through, she should have expected such a terrible thing to occur. Though, she did bring it upon herself, choosing Gorzath and Blade. But it was to prove a point, and a point she did indeed prove. The Breton was determined to make it known that she was an asset, not a liability. While the others assured her she was, she, herself, wasn't convinced. Yes, she could make some potent medicine, and yes, she had successfully, to a degree, reverse-engineered the highly -potent Elfbane. Yet, her experience with battle was paltry, at best. Facing down undead hoards seemed to remedy that, if only slightly.

Upon meeting up with the group who had gone to fight the goblins, Elayna couldn't be happier to see them all still kicking. Minus Vurwe...and while she was certainly a brat, no one deserved to die to such savage beasts, and at such a young age. A kernel of sadness sat in her heart as they arrived at the insurgent camp. She, and Toad, who thankfully survived with some crafty hiding, were taken to the female tent with Redguard-style equipment. A lump sat in her throat as Elayna removed the leather coat that had seen so much with her. It was a gift from her mother. Was she still alive? Was she okay, and with the rest of the Ferris family somewhere safe? A myriad of possibilities danced in her head, like a sadistic ritual circle, all detailing the mutilation or slavery of her dear loved ones.

Tears didn't fall. She was numb, now that she was granted a reprieve. Only a crushing pain that she was sure the strongest alcohol could not solve. Placing the memory-laden garments, along with the fungus samples she'd taken from the Mausoleum. She was unfamiliar with them, and decided later to experiment, albeit sparingly. Slipping on the loose cloth, Elayna took a moment to sit on the bed, with Toad curled up beside her. He looked up, his deep brown eyes and bright orange body bringing visions of the bright Leyawiin forests. While her heart reveled in such thoughts, her mind was singed by the flames of decimation that singed Cyrodiil.

Elayna had chosen carry her steel dagger on her person, when they moved out. It had been with her since the beginning, after all. Would it take down a Dwemer anything? No, most likely not. But it would allow her to be quick. That's all she could ask for, anymore. To be faster than Death. That bastard, she resolved, wouldn't take her before she finished her work. She looked to the chest, which also contained the book detailing her ancestors and the family "heirlooms". Those two, Serpent's Kiss and Panacea...they were dangerous. Of course, they were also apparently defunct. Either way, she'd have to find a way to High Rock. Preferably with the group, and not without.

Standing and heading out of the tent, Elayna walked through camp towards the tavern. Her once short hair had now grown to rest on her upper back, prompting her to pull it forward and letting it fall in front of her right shoulder. Some glances from men were sent her way, but she ignored them all. It was bad enough there was a damned brothel, there was no need for them to look at her. With a scoff, Elayna entered the tavern with a determined look. She ordered a bottle of Stros M'Kai Rum, quickly downing half the burning liquid. One of the patrons laughed at her. "Isn't that a bit strong for a lady such as yourself?" He prodded. "I'll have you know, sir, that I've drank two Nords under the table. Well, I guess it ended up on the table...but still. I can hold my liquor." Elayna said pointedly, before heading out of the makeshift watering hole.

Outside, fire dancers practiced their incredible art. Sipping the rum, Elayna sat down and gazed into the spinning flames. There was work to be done. She couldn't afford sympathy anymore. The notion of being guilty about creating a deadly poison seemed far away now. The atrocities the Dwemer committed...they deserved a nice and painful demise. Maybe it was the alcohol talking. Frankly, Elayna didn't care. As Toad slept in the tent, the Breton Alchemist spent her night in drink and study, researching the new fungus from the Mausoleum. Anything to take her mind off of home.
Before I do a posty post (which will be later tonight, since I'm social once a month), what ingredients, if any, could Elayna have procured from the Mausoleum/around the area? Any fungi or moss or whatevah? Or not much, since it had a bad case of the dead?

I was gonna have her forage after the death of Kreiger, since she'd be fresh out of stuff after the magicka poison.
Reya couldn't help but smile a bit as Arara curtsied. People still did that? She made sure not to chuckle, as she didn't want to be rude. This Lady Sakanade didn't seem to be such a prude, after all. Definitely unlike her sister. The thought of the wench made Reya's blood pressure go up just a teeny-tiny bit. Calm down, Reya. You don't have to see them for four whole years! Life's dandy, and you know it. She chided herself, finally resigning. It was definitely refreshing. "My thoughts exactly." Reya replied to Arara, before beginning her walk to the auditorium once more, new group in tow.

And then it happened. A snap, and then blobs of goo hurtling through the air towards the prospective students. One of the globs was headed straight for Reya, but she'd give the perpetrator no such satisfaction. In one deft movement, Reya pulled the Dust crystal in her satchel out and threw it into the air, sending one of her Rings after it with a twirl of her body. Focusing, she sent the ring into the crystal, cloaking it in a frigid energy, before colliding with the matter and freezing it solid. As she recalled the Ring, the projectile fell to the pavement and shattered. "What a waste of Dust...but this is my favorite cardigan." Reya groaned. But as she hooked the Ring back onto her belt, she smiled. Things like this were exactly why she was here. And judging by the other students reactions, they were prepared for similar occurrences.

Reya saw Arara deflect the goo with an impressive display of...what was that? Her Semblance? A pinging in Reya's purse drew her attention to her phone. On screen, the Aura Reader her father had installed showed a weird fluctuation in the surrounding Aura. "That's...really weird..." She murmured, before shaking her head and heading into the auditorium. No sense in pondering it now. She was sure she'd get answers eventually. Finding an empty spot, a row behind Arara's, Reya settled in and waited for the ceremony to start. Looking over, she smiled at Orion. "How was that for a 'Welcome To Your Potential New Home'?" She couldn't contain the giddy laugh in her voice.
As Reya bounded ahead, she noticed Orion had slowed to talk to Meditating Map Girl. That was alright, great, actually. The more, the merrier! Though that sure was a crowd around her...talk about popular. And those clothes definitely signaled a wealthy girl. Reya started to move back, to catch up to Orion, but she stopped as a girl came up to her, as well as Kalimay and a boy she recognized as Tirren, congratulated them on getting to Beacon. Since she knew them by name...oh! "Jaclyn! Thanks! Glad you made it, too!" Reya said with jubilant recognition. Jaclyn had attended Signal, and they'd graduated from the same class. She was in...oh, what was it...Fundamentals of Combat? Yeah, that was it.

Reya was about to go into full conversation when Orion approached with the rich-looking girl and introduced her as Arara Sakanade. "Oh, wow, of Sakanade Textiles? I was wondering about that fancy get-up. Pleasure to meet you." Reya bowed a little bit, if only to hide the slight grimace on her face. While she had no qualms telling Orion her last name, telling it to a wealthy heiress was a bit harder to swallow. Her family's wealth or power had nothing compared to the Sakanade name, but the Descartas had quite a bit going for them. And it took conscious effort to not be associated with them, especially when her father decided to drop large sums on the Black Claw. Reya hoped that her name didn't stick out too much, due to Sylas and Gloria's status as popular Hunters. "And It's a pleasure to see you here, Tirren. Shame we didn't talk more at Beacon." She said as she rose, wanting to push thoughts of Father from her head.

EDIT: PRRO is a very catty name... So Pascale shall take leadership and all shall bow to her feline greatness. Our dinners shall consist of milk, catnip, and fish/mice!

Not gonna lie, I think that'd be a really interesting group. Mischief and kick-ass aplenty. And the excuse to enter into battle with "Stand back, we're prrrrrofessionals!"

That was too cheesy, and I'm sorry.

In Tea 11 yrs ago Forum: Off-Topic Discussion
I ordered some teas a little while ago, my favorite being Earl Grey Lavender from Adagio Teas. I tend to gravitate to black teas, it seems.
This was a few months ago, but it's the best I could find.
I don't really care who Reya ends up with. She probably doesn't want to get stuck with the racists. She'd probably try to kill all of them in their sleep.

I see her enjoying being on Orion's team, but then again, he's the only person she's talked to, so it's all up in da airz.
