The twins and their parents had woken up at six o'clock in the morning, as they did every morning during the summer holiday, and started to prepare for their day. Andreas and Honey had everything they needed packed and ready to go; Andre had started packing weeks in advance, eager to head back to Hogwarts and reunite with all of his friends. Honey, on the other hand, had been up all night throwing things into her bags, careful not to leave anything important behind. It was because of her late night endeavors that she was insistent on staying in bed for a few extra hours the very next morning, even after her mother tried to rouse her from her deep slumber. In fact, in order to get her out of bed, Andre had a pail of freezing cold water tossed upon her while she was curled up in bed. A soaking wet Honey Weaver jumped out of bed as quickly as she could, fuming and ready to fight. "I can't believe you, Dre!" Honey had screamed at the top of her lungs, balling her hands into tight fists. "You're going to regret this, you wanker!" And so, the twins chased each other around Honey's bedroom for a few moments before their father came bursting through the door, telling them to quit pissing around.

As usual, Honey spent about two hours preparing for the drive to the train station. In spite of her brother's protests, the young woman hogged the bathroom for a full hour until she was finished with her hair and makeup. By the time her brother had finished his shower, Honey was completely dressed and ready to go, as were their parents. "Aw, come on, chap. We don't have all day," their father said. Andre simply shot a nasty look in his sister's direction before hurrying to his room to get dressed. He pulled his clothing on in record time, running back out to the living room only to be told by his father to carry his and Honey's trunks out to the car. Andre groaned, but knew better than to protest.

Before the twins boarded the train, their father gave them both quick pats on the back. Antwan Weaver was never one to show much affection towards anyone, especially while in public. The twins supposed it was something he inherited from the family that they never had the pleasure of getting to know very well. Their mother, on the other hand, hugged and kissed them as if it were the last time she'd be seeing them for the remainder of her lifetime. Oh, how she sobbed and sniffled. She hugged her children close to her chest for a full five minutes before they finally managed to slip away. "Make good decisions," she called after them, "study hard. ยกTu madre te ama!" The two siblings simply waved and smiled at their parents before boarding the train, relieved that they were finally getting away.

Now, the duo sat in compartment number one, Eva sitting in the seat across from them. Neither of them had clipped into their robes yet, and probably wouldn't do so until the very last minute. "Oh, stop your whining," Honey said to the girl with a laugh as she picked up one of her unopened chocolate frogs and chucked it in Eva's direction. The candy smacked the back of the seat, right next to Eva's lolling head, before plopping down into the seat next to her. The twins had put their money together to buy a few treats from the Honeydukes Express, as well. Andre ate most of their supply, though. Luckily for him, Honey wasn't all that hungry and didn't have the energy to cause a scene.

"I'm feeling a bit peckish, too," Andreas said, thinking about the great feast that awaited them. His mouth watered at the thought of getting his hands on a plate of roast beef and mashed potatoes. Unfortunately for the twins, their parents were never great when it came to whipping up meals in the kitchen, so the four of them usually ordered out or ate at restaurants for dinner. It was either that, or plates of their Abuela's Ropa Vieja every night.

"I don't see how when you've eaten all of my Pumpkin Pasties," Honey said, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms over her chest.

"Hey, I'm a growing lad who needs his fuel," Andreas said with a grin, "I've got to eat. You know, save up a bunch of energy come time for Quidditch. Ain't that right, Eva?"

Chanel | Liesl | Jerome

Chanel was in her own world, dancing around without a care in the world. She'd been dancing with a random group of people who'd been nearest her, not bothering to learn their names because she knew that by the time morning rolled around, she wouldn't remember them. Instead, she turned up, only slowing down when she noticed that Liesl was headed in her direction. "Hell yeah I'm having fun. No, fun would be an understatement." Chanel answered, raising her voice a bit to be heard over the music, to which the group of teenagers she was with shouted in agreement. She simply shook her head and laughed as she grabbed Lee by the hand and led her back to an empty corner of the room. "I was wondering when you'd show up, girl," Chanel said as she took a quick look around, "This is probably one of the biggest parties of the year. What better way to meet new people, yeah?" Chanel didn't know much about Liesl, but she did know that the younger woman had just recently moved back to Beverly Hills from the other side of the country. Chanel knew that she was probably one of few people who Lee knew, and decided to make it her mission to not only have fun, but introduce her around as well.

Lee laughed at her remark. As Chanel led her to an empty corner of the room, she was thankful for the little bit of quiet so that they actually can hear each other. โ€œMy mom,โ€ she explained simply, rolling her eyes in annoyance. โ€œI wouldโ€™ve totally gotten here sooner.โ€ Her verdure eyes surveyed the room, consciously taking in all the people she didnโ€™t know and, for the first time since she arrived, not feeling so overwhelmed. โ€œI know right?โ€ She agreed, her voice bubbly. She paused before continuing. โ€œHonestly, Iโ€™m not used to parties this large,โ€ she admitted, chuckling. โ€œBut despite that, Iโ€™m so up for having fun tonight.โ€ Before they could continue, she peered up and spied a tall guy that she didnโ€™t know making his way towards them. Assuming he was coming over to talk to Coco, Lee took a tiny step back so that they could have their space.

Nodding her head and chuckling, Chanel said, "Gotcha. Good thing my mom wasn't home when I left, or I would've been in the same boat." Chanel had just noticed that she had a fresh notification on her cell phone when Jerome arrived, and opened his message just at he spoke. "Yeah, I feel ya," the young woman said with a shrug, "just glad that y'all are here. I was getting tired of dancing with the freshies." As Chanel spoke, she nodded her head in the direction of the crew who stood not too far away, minding their own business. Shaking her head and reaching back into her purse for the flask, Chanel finally noticed that Lee had backed up a bit. "Hey, J. You haven't met Lee yet, have you?"

Jerome proceeded to walk straight towards the duo of females, while absorbing the parties atmosphere. He rubbed his jawline before he looked at Chanel. "Lee? Na shit havenโ€™t had the pleasure of meeting you yet. Nameโ€™s Jerome, football team...player for now.. Itโ€™s a long story yea?" Jerome said, his face unsure of what his statement truly meant due to the drama of the football team. Lawrence had recently done all that can be done to cement his position as the leading running back for the school team. The paper at school during the summer posted the rumor of Jerome quitting, of him maybe sitting out the season or changing positions. A proposition that Jerome is more and more inclined to take as the pre-season looms near. He thought about this for a brief moment before shaking his head and returning with a visible smile. "My bad, slightly zoned out, workโ€™s been on my mind as of late. Listen you ladies down to hit the bar? I could do with a Corona."

โ€œNice to meet ya,โ€ Liesl said, her smokey eyes crinkling at the corners. โ€œIโ€™m Lee,โ€ she added. Football player? Yeah, she most likely wouldโ€™ve guessed that he was one by his stature and build. Confused and ignorant to the "long story" he mentioned, she just nodded sympathetically, unsure of what to say. As Jerome suggested them going to the bar, her attentive orbs glazed over to Coco to see if she desired to go. โ€œSure, Iโ€™m down.โ€ Lee flashed her pearly whites, eager to explore a different place in this huge mansion. โ€œYou cominโ€™, Coco?โ€

The ends of Chanel's mouth curled up into a smile as she nodded at the two that stood by her. "Hell yeah, I'm down," she exclaimed, "I'm running low, anyways." So, along with Lee and J, Chanel made her way to the bar, side-stepping some girl as she danced wildly and dropped to the floor. Though she'd told herself that the Henny in her flask would be the only alcohol she'd consume that night, Chanel was surely about to break her promise. She had never been much of a drinker, but suddenly felt the urge to take a shot or two. She didn't want to get drunk, like the girl she'd seen not too long ago, but she definitely wanted to feel the buzz. When they reached the bar, Chanel tapped her hand on the counter and glanced at her friends with a coy smile before calling out to the bartender. "Hey, could get three shots of Vodka and a Corona?" Chanel knew that Lee wasn't much of a drinker, but hoped that the girl would indulge her. "How about a toast to the new year, huh? New year, new us, and all of that bullshit, right?"

Her eyes sparkled like the sequins embroidered on her pricey heels and her mind flitted back to her hopes and expectations she secretly held as she listened to Chanel wanting to toast to the new year. โ€œYes girl, letโ€™s do it.โ€ Lee allowed her slim fingers to reach out and grab her shot glass once the bartender relinquished all of what Coco had ordered.

Jerome proceeded to walk the bar, looking around at the packed dance floor and house. He seemed to nod along while following the females towards the bar, which was mainly occupied by second years eager to try their first shots of vodka or booze only to throw up a hour later and regret life. He stood beside Chanel as his eyes directly averted to the back of the bar, where all the booze was kept. Jerome smirked as he noticed the booze display behind the bartender, paying her little attention until he had decided what he wanted. Damn homie, Henryโ€™s got the good shit, imported whiskeys, aged and spiced rum, even actual tequila from fucking Mexico! Shame I have to drive, Jerome thought before he looked Chanel who had ordered for the trio. Jerome simply nodded along as he received his shot of vodka. Jerome then raised his shot glass into the air. "Cheers to another year of worthless drama, stress and all the other shit we enjoy," said Jerome as he smirked, holding his shot glass in the air. Before being the first one to down the contents of the Vodka shot glass.

Chanel shook her head and laughed, holding her own shot glass into the air next to his. "Cheers to that!" The young woman then tilted her head back and swallowed the entire contents of the shot glass in one gulp, without blinking. The liquid burned as it trickled down her throat. She set the empty shot glass on the counter with a shudder and wiped her mouth with her hand, careful not to smudge her lipstick. "God, that was awful." Last one of the trio to do so, Lee gulped down the vodka quickly before setting the empty shot glass back on the hard surface. Her lips pursed together as burning sensation was immediately felt as the drink ran down her esophagus. Chuckling at Chanelโ€™s remark, she agreed that it was pretty awful.

Jerome nodded along to the duo. "Thatโ€™s why you stick to rum and fucking gin," remarked Jerome, shaking his head in anguish. He looked around for a brief moment to survey the party. Mostly, he was admiring the large house and itโ€™s openness. They had to be at least a hundred people here and everyone simply had a enough person space to operate. His gaze stopped upon a untouched pool table that a few freshmen vacated after having a brief conversation about. "Imaโ€™ go play some pool and shit, come through later if one of you wantโ€™s a lift yea?" Jerome said, nodding to both of the females before taking the cold Corona from the bar. He then walked straight to the pool table to examine it more closely.

โ€œYeah, Iโ€™ll hit you up,โ€ Chanel said with a nod.

โ€œAppreciate it!โ€ Liesl thanked Jerome for his offer as she saw him go. She then orbited around to Chanel to meet her gaze. โ€œLetโ€™s do something exciting,โ€ Liesl said randomly before pausing and continuing, โ€œOr at least find someone to have a New Years kiss with,โ€ She joked, laughing merrily at their own singleness. Liesl leaned her back against the counter, her elbows leisurely resting on the clean surface as she surveyed the room once more. โ€œHow โ€˜bout we go and see whatโ€™s going on in kitchen,โ€ she suggested, but then recalled her friend also fancied dancing a lot. โ€œOr we could go back to dancing?โ€ She didnโ€™t really care where she went as long as she fulfilled her goal of having fun tonight.

Chanel simply laughed and shook her head at her friendโ€™s enthusiasm. At the mention of a New Yearโ€™s kiss, the girl laughed even harder, knowing damn well that the only thing she would be kissing when the clock struck twelve was this hell of a year goodbye. That, or the floor if she manages to get a bit too hammered and passes out in the middle of the room. She pondered Leeโ€™s question for a few moments before answering. โ€œI think we should hit up the kitchen and see what they got in there to eat,โ€ the young woman said, her stomach suddenly growling at the mention of food. โ€œI need something to soak up all of this alcohol, you know?โ€ Chanel led the way to the kitchen, Lee following not too far behind. She wouldnโ€™t stop until she got her hands on some tortilla chips and salsa.

@KaijuBaragon I actually really like this song. When it first started out, I honestly didn't expect to enjoy it, but by the end of the song I was searching it up on Apple Music so that I could add it to my playlist. He sort of reminds me a bit of Tyler, the Creator, in a way. I'd give it a solid 8/10.

Zuri smiled and chuckled with delight as she watched their professor make his exit. It was an odd sight, one that she'd never seen before, so she couldn't help but be amused. After waiting for a couple of the other students to take a look at the map, Zuri marched up to peer at it herself. She wasn't all too familiar with maps, and hoped someone else would be able to lead the way even though it seemed to be pretty straightforward. She wouldn't want to be the one to blame if they ended up lost somewhere. "Well, I vote Amelia to lead the way. She seems like she knows what she's doing, yeah?" As she spoke, she watched with a raised brow as the other young woman pulled out measuring tape. Zuri wasn't entirely sure what it was that the girl was doing, but she decided to roll with it. After Dag tried to reveal any enchantments with a spell of his own, Zuri pulled her wand from the back that was slung over her shoulder.

Without another word, Zuri pointed the wand towards the map, taking a quick deep breath. "Geminio," the young woman said the duplication charm clearly, flicking her wand at the map and frowning when it didn't work. She tried twice more to no avail. It was just their luck that the map was immune to any form of duplication magic. Zuri cursed under her breath before tucking her wand away and catching Dag's gaze. The older boy stood just a few inches taller than Zuri, and was handsome in his own unique way. She couldn't help but smile and shake her head at the boy's sudden boldness. "Sure thing," she began with an apologetic shrug, "but looks like we'll all be sticking together. Duplication spells won't work on the map, so with only one copy, I think it'd be wise for us to not split up, right? Wouldn't want any of us to get turned around. This place is amazing." As she spoke, she peered out of the shop in which they all stood. She was eager to explore.

The flyer on some random chick's Instagram page said that the festivities began at eight o'clock, so that was the time that Chanel was going to arrive. She was never one to show up early, not wanting to have to sit around and wait for her friends to show up, but she also didn't want to arrive too late and miss out on the first few hours of what she hoped would be a bangin' party. In the mean time, the young woman stood in front of the bathroom sink, a blunt in one hand and a makeup brush in the other as she peered into the mirror and carefully put on her face. She didn't do much, sticking to the basic foundation, eyebrows, and lashes routine she normally did on the weekends. If she was going to turn up that night, she was going to turn the fuck up. In other words, she didn't want to risk her face melting while she dances around and takes a blunt or two to the face. Her outfit was on a hanger, which hung on the back of the bathroom door. She didn't plan on actually getting dressed until about five minutes before it was time to leave.

Instead, after she finished her makeup, she made her way down the stairs and into the kitchen. Despite being well past six o'clock, Chanel's mother had yet to come home; she was more than likely at the bar, like she was every other night after work. Therefore, the house was silent, nothing but the sound of Chanel's feet slapping the tile floor filling the air. Without hesitation, she pulled open one of the kitchen cabinets, otherwise known as the liquor cabinet, and grabbed the nearest bottle of Hennessy Black. In a few minutes, she'd filled a glass with the alcohol, ice, and coca-cola. She'd finished her second glass within five minutes, and decided that was to be her only drink of choice for the night. Henny was smooth, and definitely enough for her to catch a buzz. Chanel had never been a big drinker, anyways, preferring to blaze up instead and hating the taste of most alcoholic beverages more than she hated knock-off purses.

Driving herself to the party was out of the question; she knew that by the end of the night she'd be too fucked up to even think about getting behind the wheel. So, fast forward an hour later, and Chanel was fully clothed and sitting in the back seat of an Uber, her purse containing not only a baggie full of cones she'd rolled herself, but also a small flask full of the stuff that she didn't plan on sharing. The drive was silent for the most part, the young woman simply scrolling through her social media accounts to pass the time. She told the nice man to drop her off a few houses away so that he could avoid getting caught up in the sea of fancy cars. "Thanks a bunch, man," she said to him before closing the car door and beginning her walk to the front door of the extravagant beach house. When she reached the door, she simply nodded to both Owen and Sol before stepping inside, a wide grin on her face. The music was loud, and the atmosphere was electrifying.

Chanel walked into the party dancing to whatever song that was playing; she didn't know the name of it, nor who it was by, but it had a real nice groove. As she surveyed the room, she spotted a bunch of familiar faces from school, but none of them belonged to the few people she was searching for. The young woman danced her way through the crowd of people that were talking and dancing about, yelling out "Yo, What's up?" to a few people who greeted her along the way. She soon made her way to a corner of the room, and pulled her cell phone out of her purse. "Where the hell you at?" she muttered under her breath as she sent a quick text to Jerome before tucking her phone back into her bag and grabbing the flask that lay next to it. She took a quick swig of the dark liquor before returning to the floor, dancing with whoever happened to be nearby.

@Emma I think that's a fine idea. They can be friends and jam together. They probably have a creative writing class together since that is an elective, right?
