The manga tells us S-Rank is roughly the level of power of Kage. Orochimaru was S-Ranked, and he seemed to only be able to beat Sarutobi because Sarutobi is old as fuck. When the other Konoha people came by, Orochi had to nope out of there.

I'm guessing it would be a tough battle, but the S-Ranked would come out as victor with some damage. A B-class, though, probably wouldn't be much trouble at all.
