What if they a)aren't his first brides. And b. What if he doesn't get them. Like, he is so impressive/busy (or held up at the war) that he sends someone in his place to get the new brides to have them waiting for him when he gets home. Either we can adjust our intros to reflect that or have who ever he sent a)be the one that messed up and came late and got the best he could to avoid the wrath of Dorian or b) purposely got him difficult brides to be salty about something.
