Current The world is weird right now, all I'm doing though is poking around these threads and trying to keep up with a select few groups I have time for, honestly wish I had more time to spend here lol.

Sorry for the slow response my fellows, I was distracted by rl events and also noticed a few bare spots in my background of the rp. OTHERWISE give me a moment and I can get a discord up and running.
Somehow it was possible, somehow against all odds what had been a small fight in the Quicksand had quickly become a full blown bar fight involving several people. It seems that there had been several steps that furthered the violence, one of such seemed to have been a magic user conjuring a gust of wind. No matter how well meaning they were that single action seemed to anger people even more and through a series of seemingly barely related events, involved a few other people who were a bit more keen on using more than their fists.

Spud had to drag Cocoa out of the Quicksand, she was no stranger to violence against peers, but such needless violence started through such a small event was not exactly something she stood for. Spud was used to the events in bars by this point, and could not care less what happened to the brainless within who seemed to go out of their way to find a reason to kill one another.

" I mean cmon! How did it start? Lemme guess somebody bumps into somebody? It's dumb! If you want to fight somebody take it outside and fight like a real warrior! Don't start thing in the middle of a bar and ruin perfectly good booze and food! "

" I've gotten used to it, and you should too Cocoa, you can't go around trying to force your point of view on people all the time, even if you are a bit right. Besides, dumb people tend to get angry and violent if you use too many words, or if you tell them they are wrong...
really dumb people tend to be really easily angered to be honest. "

They stayed outside having already bought a pair of drinks. They kept close to the quicksand, just in case the fight ended quickly and mostly because Cocoa wanted to be close by when it all ended and she could at least heal any major injuries and make sure to tell everyone involved how dumb they had been.
Further edited Ormoneric's profile to include more appropriate weather-dress. Aside from making his character model, his profile is essentially done for the moment.

@Eneui, @josephb, were either of you interested in making mages of any kind? Ormoneric is more of a skill-monkey than a Battlemage, so there's plenty of room for one if either of you were interested. And it would be nice to have another mage in the group so they could play off each other a little.

Yes actually, had a mage planned as well as a second character, if two characters are alright.
Bump

You are not here to save the world, you are not here to bring some sliver of hope to those still left. The world is broken and forgotten, and you have been left behind by all those you hold dear. You, as well as an unknown amount of other knights have been left in this place to die. Blade against blade you have forgotten why you lived, you have forgotten friends and family and forsaken all for the glory of battle, and now you find yourself in a world of only battle where you may find no glory and no comfort. Where previously you fought for a purpose, for a god, a kingdom or even a lover, here you fight only for survival and madness. Why do you go on, how? Knowing that one strike is all it takes, knowing that you are no longer the strong one, that you no longer hold the position of predator, only prey. How do you live on the run from every shadow, every flickering flame and every blade, drawn or unseen?

And yet, on the horizon there is hope, a slim dying thing that gasps and clings to life as you do, unknowing of it's importance in events to come. For this reason, for that sliver of hope alone you move on. The blades of the unknown you no longer fear, you seek them out and they too seek you, for one thing is common among-st you knights, lost in the darkness of a world forgotten, you all strive to see the sun again.

_____________

Do you like knights? I do! Do you like grimdark settings where your characters can and will most likely die? TOO BAD...

I mean ahh, ME TOO! Angry that just anyone can use magic? Like your next door neighbor whose golem keeps leaving rubble in your yard? I KNOW I AM! At any rate, this is not the kind of role-play where you are guaranteed that your character will survive, quite the contrary! I hope to make you fear the unknown, and in this world there is a lot you do not know.

This is a small chunk of a little story I had made quite a while back and recently found, mind you this was a while ago and I was a bit younger, it may have been inspired by one thing or another but I no longer remember.

____

The idea is set in a world already broken. The heroes have fought and lost, the kingdoms have had their final stand, and none prevailed. You and others are knights, warriors whose last moments are those remembered of your old world, the one where the sun once shone and you fought for a reason. This world is not the one you know though it looks much the same, though if this is some twisted nightmare or the remnants of the destroyed world you once held dear, and killed hundreds of each-other over, you do not know.

Magic is a laughable concept, only those spending hundreds of years can boast the ability to call upon the arcane, and though useful, only the Elves and Dwarves can boast a life-span long enough to unravel the mysteries of the world hidden beyond the thin veil. You are not concerned with magic though, you are a simple knight, fighting for glory, fortune, treasure, love.

You are in this dark, twisted world filled with horrifying creatures that lurk within the shadows preying upon anything that dares draw breath. There is no concept of time here, no day or night, only eternal darkness and a shattered sky. You have been here only the gods themselves know how long, though if they can reach you in this place, if they even still bothering to watch, is debatable.

You all thought yourselves doomed, dead men and women walking in the maddening darkness of a dead world. Until the spark, a pillar of blinding light that erupted on the horizon just beyond the mountains to the north, casting a shadow with the massive mountain range. This was light, this was hope, though it grew dimmer every day. A few like you, who were still sane enough to understand the implications of such an event, found their hearts swelling. There was a reason to fight now, a reason to live, a reason to die.

___

More information to those interested, want to see if I can gather at least 3-4 people for a little bit of.

JOLLY COOPERATION!!!

Is there a limit on what magic we may use? Or can I go full Solaire with holy/lightning magic?
Charlotte herself was happy it was all over, gunfights were not exactly her thing, actually the more she thought about it the only redeeming quality about being aboard the ship was the fact she could see an airship in something other than a barely recognizable wreck. She cared little for the two the captain brought aboard, Mercanaries may as well be pirates as far as Charlotte was concerned.

She actually chuckled when Misha called her a little girl, she appreciated the protection of the large man even if she could take care of herself, the more people he crushed meant the less people SHE had to crush. The ramblings of the old man were amusing to say the least, but Charlotte did not exactly want him near her. She pitied the three survivors though, really it was be killed by Misha or be recruited into a cult by a madman. Charlotte would have thrown herself off the airship if given the choice.

She had vaguely noticed the other people approach and tried to ignore the young man chucking himself off the side of the ship that Misha was yelling at. At the moment, she was distracted by the woman who spoke to Misha, and Charlotte to an extent, about her boarding the ship. Charlotte did not exactly remember what the woman was saying and it took a good minute for Charlotte to realize she was staring at her.

" Like Misha said, wait for the captain. I myself obviously have no say in this but Misha is also right unfortunately, this is not a transport ship. "
Seeing a whole lot of interest but I may throw my hat in as well.
Cocoa rode on Spud's shoulders through the streets, suddenly aware of the thickness of her robes. Spud however, was having a great time and barely noticed the heat. They had been in Ul'dah for about three days now and the days often started like this, with the pair leaving wherever they had been holing up for the night. Work was scarce even during such a busy time, it seemed that so many people had arrived that even with how much needed to be done, not many people had mercanary work for either of the two, so this was what they did during the day.

They were both surprised none of the thieves caught on, it's hard to forget being beat up by a Roe. At any rate, it did not take long for another young man to try and swipe the large purse at Spud's side, only to have Cocoa give Spud a gentle squeeze of her thighs as a signal for the Roe to suddenly grab the would-be thief by the face.

" Careful who you grab things offa lad, you could get hurt ya understand? "

" Yea stupid, now do us a favor and drop anything else you stole today. "

It was one thing to stop the poor guy, and another thing entirely to have a Roe wrap a massive hand around your face with no warning, needless to say the young man was terrified and did was he was told. Dropping Spud's cut purse to the ground to show it full of sand and pebbles, he also scrambled to drop whatever else he had as Cocoa slid down Spud's back and swiped up the new Gil, leaving only barely enough for a loaf of bread and tying the new purse to her belt alongside two others that made gentle noise as Spud knelt down for Cocoa to scramble back up onto his shoulders.

" Next time choose a better target genius. "

" Perhaps one without a lookout on his shoulders. "

_____

Walking casually back onto the main street, Cocoa counted their money from her safe place high on Spud's shoulders. She was there for their little scheme yes, but only as an afterthought, the main reason was the fact Spud was scared of losing her in a crowd, especially with Cocoa's horrible sense of direction.

" We have enough for the next two or three nights. "

" Alrigh, but lets be a bit careful anyways, we should still look for whatever work we can find just in case. "

They were on their way to the Quicksand at that point, after they caught the poor young thief and left him with soiled trousers on a side street they found little other prey, perhaps word of the pair had finally spread. When they found themselves in the doorway of the building however, there was quite the sight. A fight had already broken out between a few patrons, though for what reason was unclear. Cocoa slid off Spud and clung close to him as they walked along the walls in the direction of the bar, trying to realistically avoid confrontation, then again how on earth would anybody miss a Roe and Au Ra traveling so closely.
