Adam takes her hands and squeezes them gently. "I'm sorry I wasn't there to help, but I'm glad Toby could." At her questioning, he sighs. "That's a little complicated. Basically, I was raised to wait until marriage. I never really agreed, but I also think we should wait a little. With all the craziness going on right now, I don't want to jeopardize this," he says, raising their intertwined hands. "It just doesn't feel right yet. We just got each other back, and we might have changed. I mean, it's been four years."
