1. It has been at least 3 years since guildfall. It does not feel that long. 2. Just need to confirm stuff and I can move. 3. My sister is officially a model. Plus, she has an interview today.

Five Open Legend games, soon to be six. Three D&D games, soon to be two. A Numenera game that's been going since before Numenera went public. Probably enough for now. -nodnod-

With more dramatic flourishes than she needed (by far) throughout the ehole process of helping Ming don her armor, Kyoumi couldn't help but admire her. Fighting in her place in what she had to kniw was an unfair fight...was there anyway that Ming was...interested in her? In the way she thought the monk was? It was certainly more romantic to act as one's champion than it was to challenge one to a duel, so if ahe had to pick, Ming would be first choice every time. After the last piece was secure, she snuck in a little hug she didn't think would be too obvious through the armor, almost as payment. For the noodles. And the song. Definitely not for the romance. Because there was no way that's what it was.

And then there was the guy who had to interrupt the moment (that had in fact interrupted before the "moment," which had to be an extra special kind of rudeness). He seemed nice enough, at least, and did invite them to share his room. Whatever information he gave ptobably wasn't his main reason for inviting them. Either he was going to kill them in their sleep, or he was using them as bodyguards in case the competition broke in by...whatever means they'd have to do so. But she had nothing better to do, and they were a group and had to stay together, after all, so she followed quietly onto the elevator and into the suite. It was indeed impressive, even more so because she didn't expect much at all for some reason. She remained nearby, not apeaking a word.
You know I want to. You also know what's going on. Should be fine-ish when this starts, though. Maybe.
Kyoumi had no idea she was being offensive or rude. She had just been thinking out loud, rationalizing what her potential future opponent had said to her. Surely it wasn't offensive to say that a weapon designed by its user specifically for their hand was better than one designed by someone who probably had never met the wielder. And it was only logical someone would be out of practice with enchantment if they only had one customer. She had even told her that she expected her skill to make up for those if she'd made it to the tournament, or was she offended because this wasn't the case? She thought. Is she the Jade Regent's kid? Oh no! I'd be so embarrassed if someone though I was only here because of my daddy! I need to make it up to her!

However, as she was standing up to find someone who would know a good place to buy apology flowers and sweet rolls, she was approached by a man with hair not unlike that of some of the monks she'd seen back home. When he introduced himself, she tried to remember if the name matched any of the visitors they'd had, but nothing came up. She knew the kind of things he could do, at least. But why would he want to challenge her one on one? What does he get out of i- oh! Ooooooh. Oh.

"That's a weird way to ask a girl out. If you want to cuddle me, just ask. I love cuddles so much. Or is it you want an audience for it? That seems like...really conceited, unless it means you think I'm really cute and want to show off to everyone here. Or..." she took some of her loose hair and started twirling it absentmindedly, "No, that would still kinda be conceited, but at least it makes me feel good. People get scared of me too much, and think the only way I'll agree to cuddles is with a show of force." Her hands stopped toying with the hair, but remained in contact with it, as she looked directly into the monk's eyes. "Will you be gentle, at least? I don't like rough cuddles as much unless it's play time, and that wouldn't be for a long time." Kyoumi's hands dropped and her eyes widened. "Oh! I'm sorry! I'll stop talking now! I know I talk too much sometimes, but not many people ask me out."

Miaow~ (in a wolflike way)
Still in her battle stance, flaming blade at the ready - there was no indication that they were completely safe yet - Peony sighed as she saw the fallen elf. He hadn't tried to do anything to ruin her trust yet, and alive, he was certainly better use to her than dead. Not like the...Okay, what's this all about?

She watched the odd spectacle that was Ulor performing an even more odd spectacle with his tentacled companion that she wasn't sure would do much good, if it didn't mke things worse. There was no way what he was doing was sanitary.

"Could you not try to ruin people's health?" Peony's voice was raised, though her tone was one of annoyance, but she continued in a grumble almost to herself, "Striking people with lightning, using the juices of ghost of a tasty lunch on a rag probably used to clean your face after eating that thing to treat wounds. Probably going to leave this place with filth fever." she walked over, sheathing her blade while she pulled her one remaining healing potion out of her belt. "If you want to heal people, do it right. Food doesn't heal wounds, no matter how tasty it is." She momentarily glared at the octospirit before presenting the potion to Ulor with a flourish, bending down to cradle the elf, and slowly pouring the liquid down his throat. "Like this."

When the elf came to, however, she whispered in his ear, "don't expect this generosity again until you earn it."
The ryugitsune received a great deal of attention as she walked off the boat (where she'd spent the rest of the trip dancing and chasing her tails out of boredom, a task which would have been more difficult if they weren't so long), though she was happy it wasn't too much more than anyone else, since they'd all been showered with the affection of the people of the island. She did wonder, of course, if any of them were just there because it was tradition and were only acting happy. She'd seen a lot of that back at home. She was sure some of them must have hated these competitions.

But it stopped mattering once she got her soup, which she downed ravenously, followed by two more (all of which she made slightly sweeter with her magic). She was interested in those around her, but she was content just listening to them talk, occasionally caressing someone who happened to be nearby with one of her tails to see how they reacted. It was always fun to catch people off guard when there was a chance they'd show some of their talents off, or show their real emotions.

The Naive Ryugitsune

"You wouldn't like me when I'm angry. It's okay, though; you seem harmless."
"You mean you don't recognize us?" Kyoumi's bright, happy eyes showed her playful side, as did the wagging of her many draconic tails, very much unlike the deliberately incredulous tone of her voice. "We're only the biggest group of cute cuddlers ever! I mean, look at this adorable face!" She ran up to Hanani and gently pinched his cheeks, briefly wiggling them around. "And by that I mean, umm, we're...terrifying?" She looked at her party's eyes and her tails stopped their repetitive swaying. "And...we're, uh, prepared for mortal combat? Where we, umm, fight to win the tournament?"

Once the boat was out of her way and she'd been spoken to, Peony sighed. This was not a recommended name. "Peony. I'll forgive you this time. Easy mistake to make. It's a type of flower, not some otherworld currency." She waved her hand dismissively at Yvah. "And I'm not a little kid. That joke would have been funnier a decade ago. Or it would have scared me. It is the arm of someone who died already, after all." She shrugged.

As the rest of the group rested, the false cleric stood watch. Not of the paths, like she made it look, but of this new group. They were strange, to say the least. Way too grim for successfully killing skeletons.

When she heard the chanting, or rather the translation, she shuddered. She'd heard a similar chant before. But that was different. That was...not watery. "So, how are we going to handle this? I could go up and cook a few of them. Make us a nice dinner" She dramatically flicked her flaming blade.
That would be pretty awesome, but we do have a lot of people. Not my game, so can't say much on that. I wouldn't mind another party member. I have my game, too, if you don't get into this one~ It could use someone posting as motivation for the rest.

(If it doesn't, I have another one starting soonish anyway. No one's made their characters for it, yet, so it wouldn't require any more work for me, not that my other one would either, since they're only a little way into a cave)
