Bio

(2nd resurrection and counting)

Feel free to call me Evie, it's one of my aliases. I go by a lot of names, tbh. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing...

I've done a bit of RP back in middle school/high school, and haven't touched it again until COVID made me question my hobbies (which I dropped and came back a year later). Sometimes I think I'm a decent writer, but most of the time I feel like I still write like a teenager. I mean, I still act and live like a teenager... Oh yea, I also write at snail's speed QwQ (hopefully I've gotten a bit faster over the past year)

As a self-proclaimed hardcore weeb (not the cringey type I swear), I'm well-versed in the anime/manga scene. If anything I probably know more of the obscure stuff than the mainstream. Although, I've been getting more into Chinese webnovels and webtoons. I would like to be a gamer, but unfortunately, I was cursed with the inability to play anything but casual or puzzle games (and even then, I get motion sick from some). (Even then, I barely touch games anymore orz)

My favorite genres are mystery, fantasy, and sci-fi (not so much sci-fi in writing thou). Been laying low with 1x1s; might try to expand into Casual groups. Oh, I also think that I like to world-build, since that's what I did most as co-GM for my ex's DnD campaigns. As mentioned before, I'm slow at writing, so I'm reluctant to take on more than a couple RPs at a time.

I swear I'm not a cannibal or creep, so please feel free to shoot me a PM for anything ;p

Chris was in the bathtub, a half-empty beer in hand, when her phone buzzed beside her. She spent the rare break with her family. It’s been a few years since they warmed up to each other again, but there was still residual tension. It was especially bad during the Memorial Day long weekend. Adan used to make a big deal out of it. Rightfully so, too, as his best friend and Chris’ namesake, Christopher Aitken, lost his life in service. The Aguilars kept the same traditions even after Adan was gone. It was almost suffocating to be in that environment. Chris couldn’t understand why everyone else gasped at every little thing Adan had left behind. She chose to go home, though. Family was family.

There weren’t many people who had Chris’ number. She didn’t have any friends, nor did she have the time or interest to pursue romance. She was with her family until just a few hours ago, and it would be rare for Dr. Hodgson or Nina to contact her at this hour. It was almost definitely work.

No surprise, it was a message from the Unit Chief. They’ve got a new case on hand. No rest for the wicked, eh? Chris looked at her now-empty tub longingly. As much as she loved working and knew it was the nature of her job, cutting short her me-time was not appreciated. The dip in her mood did not leak into her pace as she got dressed. It would have to be something big for them to be this impatient. With haste, she made it to the office.

There were only two other people already present. Chris wasn’t surprised in the least who they were. Lucian was the one who called her in, and Sam was a well-known workaholic. She nodded to each of them. “Good evening. Chief. Stannis.” Her voice was just loud enough to be heard in the quiet room. She noticed the mugs of coffees in their hands. Ah, yes, “the long night ahead” warning.

Chris helped herself to the refreshment area after dropping her stuff off at her desk. She made herself a cup of tea instead of pouring the fresh-looking coffee. She needed the caffeine to wake her up, but coffee might overload her systems. “I had some beer earlier.” She explained, hoping not to offend whoever was gracious enough to make the coffee for not choosing it. Chris took her tea to Sam’s desk, where the other two situated themselves. There was an open case file with photos and reports, some were being examined by Sam. Chris started looking at the evidence too.

“More people coming?” Even when Chris was focused on learning about the new case, the office with only three people felt a little too intimate. It was too easy to start small talks. Lucian must’ve messaged everyone on the team, but whether they were able to show up is another question.

Recruitment
Dr. Hodgson, a professor at the University of Stanford, was a big name in Criminal Psychology and was often consulted by government agencies. Chris, as his protégé, was let in on many of the cases that had passed his hands. She mostly studied the cases, but her name appeared in the reports enough to leave an impression on some. It was only natural that the F.B.I offered her a job.

Chris accepted the Bureau's offer after getting her Doctorate in Criminal Psychology at the age of 24. Physical abilities weren’t her strong suit, but she survived the training at Quantico, passing with near-minimal marks.

After nearly a year of probation period, working in the B.A.U., Chris was promoted to SSA. At the young age of 26 and only a few months of receiving orders from Lucian directly, she is still in the process of fitting into the team.

Background information
Chris had normal yet boring life before she entered university. She was raised by her mother, uncle, and grandparents. Her small extended family offered enough support that Coral never had any problems that came with being a single mother. Chris’ father was a mystery even to Coral, but Adan did more than enough to fill the father-figure role.

Chris' intelligence was apparent even from a young age, and she was always eager to learn. Her love for solving mysteries came from the stories Adan would tell her. They were stories from his work, sparing the gory details unfit for a child’s ears, of course.

Chris was 15 and finishing up her last year of high school, when Adan died in a crossfire between F.B.I. agents and a drug gang they were investigating. It should have been hard losing someone so close to her, but Chris was surprisingly fine. Sure, she was sad, but she didn’t blame anyone — not her uncle for working in such a dangerous job, not the Bureau for putting its employees in danger, not even the drug gang for existing. She just continued life as it was before. Even her mother called her cold-hearted. This started an argument that led to a cold war that went on for a few years.

Eleni used moving-out for university to get away from her family that was grieving more than she was. Of course, it was hard for a 16-year-old to live alone, even if she didn’t have to worry about money. Despite not understanding her indifferent attitude towards her uncle's death, her family still loved her, and provided the funds to go through university.

It was almost pure luck that Chris caught the eyes of Dr. Hodgson. It was when he appeared as a guest lecturer for her introductory psychology course. According to him, her young age and brilliant questions after the lecture made him want to take her under his wing. Within a year, Eleni was a frequent guest in Dr. Hodgson’s office as well as his home. The Doctor’s wife was happy to take care of this awkward prodigy now that her own children grew up. Even now, Chris would call and check in on Nina from time to time.
Now that Raymond was no longer cramped or restrained, he could clearly feel the pain in his ankle. Ice would be preferred, but it didn't look he would be able to get any. Especially not with a burning plane near by. A burning plane could explode at any time, all it needed was for the flame to reach the fuel tank. It was best to get away fast.

Raymond limped forward, picking up a large fallen branch to use as a walking stick. His pace slowed as he left the immediate vicinity of the plane. The sprained ankle was hurting plenty, and putting too much pressure on it would only make it worse. He rested every few meters, marking nearby trees by peeling off some bark or snapping higher branches. It was forest as far as he could see. The airplane could be his only source of non-primal resources. He needed a way back once the danger of fire and explosion was gone. Of course, an explosion would be the worst case scenario-- not only would he lose resources, it could also start a forest fire.

After a decent distance, Raymond rested on a fallen log. He ripped strips from his shirt using a sharp rock on the ground, and tightly wrapped his ankle. It was the only treatment he could do right now. The wrapping made the pain more consistent, but Raymond felt like he could walk a bit better.

Raymond took this moment of rest to consider his situation. He didn't remember much from before waking up in the wreckage. The last clear memory was him meeting up with an old friend, but that didn't give him much information other than his name. Though, he had to survive and find a way back to society before his past mattered in the least. His top priority right now would be to secure drinking water. He knew, in theory, that he could follow animal tracks to find a water source, but it didn't seem like he knew how to do it. He looked around, trying to notice any clues or anything other than just trees everywhere. He was lucky that his glasses survived the whole ordeal without much of a crack. He'd be hard-pressed without them.

Y'all are making me want to rewatch Criminal Minds
Raymond was taken aback by his surroundings, it was a scene he had seen many times in TV shows but never thought he would experience himself. There was a buzz in his head, and he could feel himself shaking. The increasing heat reminded him that he needed to save himself from the imminent doom. He was trying to bring his hands to his face, when he realized there were suitcases on top of him. They were heavy enough to dull the sensation in his mid- and lower-body, but posed no immediate harm. Deep breathes. Raymond said to himself. He was still shaking, but his head was clearer. He wiggled his arms free as he examined his location. He noticed the escape hatch close by, in fact, just within his reach. Now, he just needed to free himself.

He tried shifting the various items on top of him to make room for him to wiggle out. He also looked out for loose tray tables, or boards in general, that he could insert between himself and the suitcase immediately on top to reduce friction.
I'm leaning towards a young profiler right now. Will also have my sheet done within the next few days.
