Grimus chuckled to himself as the human screamed, enjoying himself considerably. Men were such interesting creatures, and their variety of reactions upon first meeting him was something he relished. Yes, this was proving to be a wonderful morning indeed.
"What am I? Well, it appears I am but a cat. However, you may address me as Grimalkin, for that is my title after a fashion. Your mind is exactly where it belongs, poor fellow, though your body seems to have wandered. This is the wonderful realm of Faerie, where you seem to have stumbled through no fault of your own. I'm afraid you may never find your way through these trees on your own, and there is simply no hope of returning to your home plane," Grim explained, his raspy voice tinted with a satisfied purr. Making himself vanish from sight again, he leaps down to the ground and settles on his haunches just a few feet in front of the man before becoming visible once more.
"On the first part, I may be able to offer some assistance. Be warned, however, nothing here comes without a price. However, courtesy must first be observed. I have introduced myself, and it would please me greatly for you to do the same." Learning the Names of other beings was one of Grim's favorite games, and he surely intended to play it with this man. His Queen could always use more pawns, and at the least this one had been entertaining thus far.
