Today is the day. You can just feel it. From apartments, from alleyways, from mansions young adults are disappearing.
No one knows where they've gone.
Except the Hunt.
The Hunt tracks down promising young adults and shows them what they are,
just a brief glimpse before they offer you a chance to come travel with them,
hunting the demons that roam this planet, forever a loner, except to the Hunt.
The Hunt isn't a gang, it's not a cult, it's a family.
If you accept this offer, the recruiter will pull out a Stele-a piece of long red crystal-and press it to your skin, painting a Rune on your arm. This Rune, they tell you, will burn when it's time to join the Hunt. They give you an address, then disappear, through whatever alleyway or window they appeared from.
The only belongings you have must fit in a backpack, with your weapons.
You must sever all contact from anyone from your old life.
And, if caught, you must never, ever tell about the Hunt.
Rules:
1. Everyone specializes in one weapon and can use up to five.
2. They have to be old fashioned weapons, e.i. bows, swords, knives, etc. No guns or anything like that.
3. Romance is cool, but keep it PG-13, if you must go further, go to PM or fade to black.
4. No perfect characters, no sob stories.
5. The Hunt members do fight with each other sometimes, like physically, and when they do, give the other fighter a chance, like 'Paul knocked down Jim and moved in with a knife' 'then Jim kicked the knife out of his hand and jumped up' and so on.
6. This go hand in hand with 5. No power playing.
7. Upon joining, everyone gets a Stele, but they need to learn their Runes. It's like learning the alphabet.
8. You need a Hunt name that you get when you get your stele, from that point onward that is what they're known by.
