Is anyone alive?! :o I am so lonely... I has nobody...
"Hey you don't know that, they could have space cows..." Takeshi muttered, immediately feeling silly for saying such a ridiculous thing, "Or... Fish. I mean what planet have we been to yet that didn't have fish, huh?" All of them had fish, Namek probably had fish even if they hadn't checked. Growing up eating all sorts of animals made having a diet of fruit a little disappointing, it just wasn't the same. Not a fan of one of the fruits he handed it off to Shu and went ahead eating another, pausing when Shu surprisingly expressed anger over the gesture. "What? I figured I'd give it to you instead, otherwise its going to waste," Takeshi explained as he blinked, honestly confused why anyone would be upset over more food. Taking back the food he shrugged before taking a bite of another, wondering how in the heck sharing was seen as rude. "Did you not want more food? I don't get it buddy, how's getting more food rude? Wouldn't it be more rude not to eat it at all? Just trying to give it to someone who likes it, you know?"

"The battle is over Viral, we won. All of the villagers are safe because of us... Because of you," Yumi said as she watched him try to get up, reaching across and gently helping her friend lie back, "You being reckless probably saved us though, so... Thank you. If you didn't do what you did we might have ended up even worse than this." Not that they were terribly injured, she and Viral were the only ones really hurt and even then it was mostly fatigue. Considering how poorly things could have gone it was difficult to be upset about their current predicament. "And for the record someone weak couldn't have done what you did. Maybe you did overdo it a little, but because you did everything worked out." If they could be outside with the festivities Yumi was positive Viral would be getting recognition as well, surely the people knew what he'd done for their sake by now. Turning to look out the window she smiled at how happy everyone looked, including T'charrl who was normally terribly nervous and not happy with himself. Yeah, even Viral would be happy to be out there.

Haku would like to tell T'charrl he wasn't scary, that when he transformed there was nothing wrong and everything was fine. But he'd be lying, when T'charrl did change like he had on Earth it was scary. It wasn't the look so much that frightened him though as it was knowing his friend might not be able to control himself, and because of that he might hurt someone. Or they might have to hurt him. Neither of those were terribly appealing outcomes. "O-Oh, well... All I did was that though, you're the one who made the portal," Haku argued with a small smile, "I d-didn't do much really..." Not everyone shared that school of thought as he did however as two more residents approached them, looking more like adults than the children from before. Watching them curiously as they offered over some kind of cloth to both himself, Vegeta and T'charrl he accepted it, looking at it for a moment before smiling appreciatively. He'd never been given anything before as a reward, usually his rewards were just not being beaten or being allowed to have a little more food with his meal. Nodding silently he hugged the cloth to his chest as tears welled up in his eyes, managing out a faint "Thank you".
Not a single type of meat among all of this food, these people must be insane or something! There had to be some animals here that were edible, that big centipede thing probably didn't get by on just apples and bananas. Or whatever the hell the space equivalent of those were. Space bananas? Shaking his head Takeshi griped about the selection as he picked up an hourglass shaped green fruit, turning it over in his hands trying to inspect it. "But we have fruit so much... And I like steaks, you know that buddy. And steaks come from cows," the older boy explained, "But I don't see any cows here, or chickens, or fish, or anything. Just these dumb fruits." Sighing to himself Takeshi shrugged and bit into the fruit in his hand, his face scrunching up at the flavor of it. Tart and a bit sour, what the hell kind of fruit was this? Slowly chewing it he tried another bite and grunted when he bit down on some core, wrinkling his brow at it before dropping it onto Shu's plate and grabbing a different one. "I just want to cook a nice meal over the fire, is that so much to ask...?"

Laying here in silence was difficult with what was going on outside. It wouldn't be nearly as bad if Viral were awake but with no one to speak with Yumi couldn't do very much. Putting her hands on the bed she pushed herself up into a sit so she could better see out the window, her leg left laying and extended to recover properly. After all of the trouble that they had gone through for this planet it was nice seeing everyone so happy, it really felt like they had accomplished something with this. She knew the chieftain of the village had said villages didn't really mingle much but seeing how well everyone got along you'd think they were close as family. Tragedy could do that, she supposed. Hearing a stirring in the bed beside hers Yumi turned and smiled seeing Viral's eyes flutter open, swinging herself around so she could be closer to him. "Hi there... Glad to see you're awake," she said gently, leaning forward and folding her hands over her lap, "We're in the village, if you're wondering. Everyone else is out there celebrating while we're cooped up here resting." Laughing softly she shook her head before smiling at Viral, "Not that I'm not glad to be able to relax. How are you feeling?"

Haku was having fun with this even if he wasn't the one receiving the thanks and the gifts. T'charrl was always so upset and down on himself so getting to see him happier was nice, for both of them. He was getting a meal out of it and that was all he needed, his stomach having been gnawing at itself earlier. Everything seemed just fine on the outside but when he prodded T'charrl for how he was actually doing the answer showed he was anything but fine. "I don't get why you can't rest... You have energy right? And the food too..." Haku muttered as he scratched at his head, "Plus I mean you s-saved all those people... Right? I doubt they'd hate you after you did t-that." Almost two dozen of them owed their lives to T'charrl and his portal, and you could even say they had saved the other village too from ever being attacked in the first place. Haku had never even saved one person before never mind this many, T'charrl was pretty much a hero to them. "I'm k-kind of jealous, actually... They're probably going to tell stories about you, and h-how you saved everyone from those things," Haku went on, smiling slightly as he rolled a small fruit between his hands, "Not that I'm n-not happy for you! You deserve it!"
"H-Hey, if you're hurting too buddy then don't bother, I don't want ya hurting yourself over me more," Takeshi said as he slowly rose to his feet, his face contorting in a mix of pain an annoyance as he fought off being light headed. Definitely going to be an annoying day if he was going to be feeling like this the whole time. Leaning a bit on Shu to move he rolled his eyes when more of the villagers approached to try and help, and might well have snapped at them if yelling wouldn't make his head hurt even more. "Things worked out huh? Aside from the fact we're all banged up and shit," he commented with a smirk, "Yumi's leg is probably crap, my heads throbbing, Viral looks like he's just about passed out, same with everyone else. But we won didn't we?" Everyone was out and everyone was safe even if they had plenty of bumps and bruises to show for it. Hard not to take a little pride in it being successful.

"It's okay... We didn't mind helping, really," Haku reassured, laughing breathlessly as he tried to lift T'charrl's mood, "Ah... Well... W-We'll be here until you do... To help out..." It was amazing to put it mildly what had been done today, there was no way their friends would have made it out without T'charrl's help. No way the villagers would have either, and even if you couldn't tell from their expressions the way they were hugging each other and celebrating showed just how happy they were to be safe. "That's all... Because of you and your p-portal," Haku pointed out, smiling as he pointed over to the crowd of natives, "They would s-still be there without the portal, just like our f-friends would have been."

Why was Viral so uptight? They had killed quite a lot of those monsters and all that was left was that robed person, Yumi didn't think they were going to be chased. Yet he was acting like they were about to be attacked again, being just about the only one with such a concern. "Viral, just sit down, we're fine now..." Yumi said gently, trying to grab his paw to stop him but missing, "We're safe, we killed those creatures and it would take a while for them to get ready, nothing's coming for us." When Viral stopped for a second she almost thought he'd listened to her, gasping instead when he fell forward onto the dirt. "Viral!" Having to crawl on her hands and knees she rushed to his side along with the scouts, grabbing hold of him and lifting him up into her lap nervously. He'd passed out was what she could see immediately and just to reassure herself she leaned down and set her head on his chest, still feeling it rise and fall with each breath and his heart working away. They had to get him to the village to rest, they all needed rest and proper attention after that.

It was nice having his head bandaged up now and the bleeding stopped, plus whatever had been in that disgusting mixture had eased the pain. All would be just peachy if Takeshi didn't want to tear off his bandages and itch at his wound like mad, squirming in his seat to try and avoid doing such a thing. Let it rest Vegeta had warned him, take it easy and not be moving around too terribly much. In fact he couldn't do much of anything while he had this concussion, something he wasn't exactly great at. Shu by comparison looked worse with how many little bandages he had on him but all he had to show for the fight were some scrapes and minor bruises, nothing serious. "Glad they're giving us some food after all that, but... DID IT HAVE TO BE ALL FRUIT?!" The two villages, the one they had worked with and the one they had saved, were together now and celebrating a successful rescue in the town center, everyone dancing and enjoying themselves as music played and a feast was held. Those who could be out were, though thanks to his head all Takeshi was doing was sitting on a log, staring at the plate of fruit in front of him. "No steak... No fish, not even chicken. Just fruit... I wanted some meat..."

Yumi wasn't taking part in the festivities herself as she was laid up in one of the nearby houses, her leg having been treated after arriving in the village. Their doctor, or more like a witch doctor she supposed had seen to her, and at first she was a little wary of all the plants and other items he had to treat her wound. After cleaning it however he gave her something which apparently helped the body repair itself, something to prevent infection and then wrapped it up for good measure. She'd have asked Vegeta what it was if he'd been around but he was busy since getting back, busy with T'charrl and the others. Able to at least look out the window and see everyone celebrating she smiled, glancing over at Viral and wondering if he wanted to be out there. Probably not, he was never really into that kind of thing was he?

Ideally they would leave this planet by now, get everyone on board the shuttle and on their way back to Uuonoe. That would be ideal but also impractical given the injuries they had sustained. Chances were that they couldn't leave before the end of the day at the earliest, whenever that was, and even then it might be risky moving those who had taken the most damage. Vegeta supposed getting to relax a little and celebrate wasn't the worst of things though, certainly not for those who deserved some recognition. A great many people, those saved and others alike had come forth to T'charrl to thank and even praise him for what he had done, word quickly spreading that he'd been responsible for getting them home. It was true in part, he and Haku too had helped keep open the portal but neither said anything, allowing T'charrl to have his moment. "It seems like you've made some friends here," Vegeta observed with a smile, watching as another pair of young natives came forth and presented T'charrl with some kind of woven item, perhaps a charm, "Well deserved at that."

Haku was busy munching away at the fruit given to them, just happy to be putting something in his stomach. Whatever they were given sure was tasty if a bit odd, he swore one of the fruits had hairs on it. Leaning forward as juice dribbled down his chin he wiped it off on his hand before looking around and wiping his hand off on the grass, smiling as he took another bite of his meal. "Yeah, y-you're really popular here," he said, watching as the two young natives handed over their gift before running off. By now there was a little pile of presents for T'charrl from the villagers plus the slightly larger pile of food he'd gotten as thanks, they sure did appreciate what had been done. "How do you feel by the way? Not as t-tired as you were before...?"
"I know that... But make sure everyone else is okay first," Yumi said as she tried to get up herself, wincing as her leg immediately gave out and she went to a knee, "This isn't going to kill me... I'm fine." Truth be told it hurt more than anything she'd had before, thank goodness she wasn't squeamish or she'd probably pass out from it and the blood. With her face already paling slightly she kept her grip on Viral's paw and smiled to reassure him she was doing okay, even if that couldn't be further from the truth. "We... We made it though, everyone's alive and the villagers are safe..." They had found out how those monsters got around too and, with some luck, might have a way to stop them. It was scary knowing they could open a portal almost anywhere and they still didn't completely know how portals were opened, or how the one they had taken back opened for that matter. At least Yumi didn't until she glanced over and saw a rather spent looking T'charrl, Haku and Vegeta, smiling at them gratefully. So T'charrl had done it then, he'd really saved all of them with that.

Takeshi wasn't going to try getting up again quite yet, not with how the whole world was spinning on him right now. Sitting on his rear instead he waved off another attempt by the scouts to help him, a hand pressed to his matted hair to try and keep it from bleeding anymore. "Softened my fall though... Might have been way worse without you, you know?" he answered with a laugh, gritting his teeth when talking agitated his aching head. Another day or two in the hospital for him after this no doubt, he was getting awfully tired of being laid up in a bed. Closing his eyes for a moment to try and ignore the throbbing he groaned before reaching out with his free hand and nudging Shu for him to get up. "Hey, I need your help walking buddy, if you're okay to move. Everything's all spinny right now..."

"T'charrl... Fantastic job, you really outdid yourself..." Vegeta panted as he watched villagers crowding around their injured friends, "You... You're the reason today was a success, well done." The others would doubtless still be on the other side were it not for the portal and the villagers likely dead for it. Instead of mourning they would be celebrating and that was all thanks to the efforts on T'charrl's part. Seeing how the others were he'd like to go to their side and help however he could but his body felt heavy, his Ki nearly completely gone and his limbs not wanting to budge at all. Resigning himself to sit for a moment Vegeta sank down into the grass and exhaled as he did so, wiping his face with his arm before smiling at T'charrl. "I hope that did not put too much strain on you... But know because of this everyone is alive, so thank you. I'm sure they'd all like to thank you as well."

Though he was breathing like he'd just run 10 km Haku smiled, nodding in agreement to the praise Vegeta was giving T'charrl. "You... Hah... Really did it! That was amazing!" No one else could have done that, and it was all because of the powers that his friend possessed. Coughing a bit he took a deep breath to try and steady his breathing, lifting a hand to shield his eyes from the sun as clouds passed and exposed them to its bright rays. "Your powers aren't... So bad now, are they?"
"I'll be just fine Cecil, don't worry. This kind of a thing is a breeze for me!" Ethan answered with a smile, "Er... No pun intended." A breeze would be just what he needed to get up, a little push from a gust of wind and climbing to the roof was a simple task. Since they didn't want the guard being savvy to what they were he and Cecil moved around to the side of the building just enough to not be seen from the road, glancing around for an easy way to scale up. No stacked crates or anything so it looked like they would have to get up in one go. Stepping back to let Cecil do his thing Ethan watched as he climbed with relative ease, whistling and giving a thumbs up once his friend had climbed. "Here I come!" Tapping the ball of his foot on the ground he bounced in place before inhaling and focusing on building his magic where he needed it, the ground at his feet kicking up in dust as air was pushed out. With another bounce Ethan crouched before letting his magic go and springing high up into the air, enough so that he cleared the roof and, with less than a graceful landing, came down on top of it with a roll. Not terribly hard to do and nice and quick, now hopefully they could get to the more difficult part.

"Come along then Asta, we'll go in through the front." If she knew how to pick a lock efficiently they could try that but where time was crucial Nymira wouldn't even bother trying. At the door she shot the guard a quick glance to see if he was watching, placing her hand over the lock itself and obscuring it from view. Using just the tiniest of flames she easily melted through the metal and yanked the lock free, throwing it aside and preparing to kick in the door. Before she'd even lifted her leg however Wyth had let himself in through a window, his large frame bashing through the flimsy boards and alerting everyone inside. "Damn cat! Fine!" Stepping back Nymira lifted her leg and kicked open the door, promptly drawing her dagger and storming inside. As expected things were already a mess, men everywhere trying to get their weapons while somewhere in another room Wyth was causing havoc. So much for the element of surprise.

Ethan had wanted to take a moment before making their move but judging from the shouts down below, and the telltale growls from Wyth, things were already setting off. "You've got to break in now Cecil! Anywhere will work," he said as he pointed to the roof, having no means himself of getting through. Waiting until they had a means of getting down themselves he nodded appreciatively and moved towards the opening, taking just the briefest of glances before stepping out and dropping into the hole... Promptly landing on top of a man down below on his way out. Groaning from the collision Ethan rolled off of the now unconscious slaver, dragging the man from the hole and waving for Cecil to come down as well. "Hey, it's all clear! Come on in!" No sooner had he spoken those words did a door swing open and two men, each armed, came piling in. Smiling uneasily Ethan looked around for something of use and found only a discarded broom, holding it like a sword and causing the men to laugh. Boy did he miss having his sword right now.

"Get out of my way!" Nymira was trying to abide by Ethan's wishes of a non-lethal approach and simply take the men down, but it was awfully trying when they didn't have the same inhibition. It went against every fiber of her being and every piece of training not to strike back with her blade, and even without killing them she still left several cuts on her assailants. Sidestepping a man's knife she grabbed his arm and drove up a knee into his elbow to break it, swinging a hard right hand into his face and knocking him out with a good solid punch. "It's like a rats nest... Infested with scum," the Dimuran grumbled as she shook her hand, kicking away the man's knife just to be safe. Where was the room they were being held in? Further inside most likely, probably with more of the slavers guarding their prize. Cowards, they would doubtless try to use those captured as a way to escape. Anyone who did that deserved to die.

Ethan was learning a very good lesson about brooms: they were awful for fending off a hatchet and a dagger. He wouldn't be having such a terrible time of trying to fight if he had any real weapon but a broomstick couldn't do much other than break every time it was hit. Holding the two halves, one in each hand, he ducked away from a hatchet before striking out with the rear of the handle, smacking the man in the stomach with it before giving him a quick whack on the head for good measure. "Sorry!" He couldn't be wasting time fighting these men, Amuné was still in trouble and they had to reach her. With the other slaver coming at him with a dagger he dropped down to his hands and knees to avoid being stabbed, grabbing the man's leg and yanking it out from underneath him to cause him to fall. As soon as they hit the ground Ethan was on top of him, the two struggling to get a hold of the dagger. "Hey C-Cecil! Little help please?"

"What the fuck is goin' on out there?! What's all the shoutin'!?" one of the men yelled, slamming his hand across a table as fighting could be heard a ways off. Growling when no one had any idea he grabbed his greatsword from a nearby wall and pushed the others out of the way, forcing open the door and storming out of the holding room. Other people were coming and going all over, some in a panic and unarmed and bloodied, others with weapons in hand charging ahead into whatever was causing this problem. Gritting his teeth furiously he moved through the crammed halls and found a dead man laying out from one of the nearby rooms, confused as to why people were running away from it until a large beast burst from the doorway, tackling another man into an adjacent room. "The hell?!" shoving a panicking slaver aside he entered the room and stared wide eyed at Wyth, "How'd you get in here, you filthy cat?"
Nah you're not holding anyone up. Scout and I are gonna make a little collab that'll move us along later today :)
Takeshi couldn't even try to wrestle the tendril off of his leg as he was thrown through the air, unable to cushion his fall either thanks to a lack of Ki. Just before he hit the ground he was astonished to see Shu jump up and try to help him, instinctively wrapping his arms around his brother as they both hit the ground and tumbled. While it certainly wouldn't kill them and was far from a serious fall it still hurt like hell, and using his larger size to try and shield Shu meant Takeshi took a good brunt of the landings on himself. Finally coming to a stop several meters away he groaned in pain, his eyes squeezed shut and his arms still linked around his brother.

"You okay buddy...?" Takeshi asked, opening one eye and smiling as he loosened his grip, "Thanks for the help, saved me there..." Both of them were probably bruised and bloody now and they'd still yet to do anything really to the man in the robe. They had to keep fighting him with or without Ki, the portal was still open and there was no chance they could let him get out. If that happened those villagers were probably good as dead and other people would be hurt too. Pushing himself off the ground Takeshi stumbled slightly and reached up to his head to feel his hair damp from blood, wincing as he pressed against the wound. Not good, he was unsteady and his vision was a little funny from that fall, probably banged up inside from it.

Yumi didn't want to let this person get through, everyone would be in so much danger if that happened. Their chances of winning this fight however were becoming slimmer and slimmer by the second. She hated to leave a chance of his coming back but Viral was right, they couldn't fight right now much less win a battle against someone like this. Nodding to show her understanding she tried to find where Shu and Takeshi had gone, worried to see both of them roughed up from the fall and not looking terribly great themselves. "Shu! Takeshi! We're leaving!" she shouted over with a wave before grabbing hold of Viral, still trying to support him despite her leg wound. Running wasn't going to happen so she hobbled as quickly as she could, gritting her teeth the entire way and biting back the pain.

Takeshi wasn't having a very easy time of moving either, lightheaded and sore as he was made moving a huge chore. Keeping a grip on Shu's arm to make sure he didn't fall behind they stumbled after Yumi and Viral, eyes trained on the portal before them just a few meters away. Overhead the air crackled and turned red, a telltale sign of an attack they had already seen once before. Groaning from strain Takeshi scooped Shu up under his arm and broke into a sprint, his entire body crying out in protest as he closed the gap behind Yumi and Viral. The first two made it through just in time and the two brothers cleared the rift as the first rocks began to smash into the ground behind them, destroying the area near the exit. They weren't out of it yet, as they had feared the general was now moving towards the portal itself, his face glowing a bright yellow and his mouth split in a toothy grin.

Luckily on the other side of the portal there were others still fit to fight, the general would never get through the portal. Before he'd even managed to put a hand through it Eris and Orion stood before him, each reeling back before unleashing two large blasts of solar energy at the opening, nailing the figure and driving him off with the force of the blasts. With the sky still literally falling and the man nowhere in sight now Orion looked over to T'charrl and the others, exhaustion plain on his face as he waved them off. "Close it, before he comes back!"

And close it they did. As soon as the portal was sealed shut again Vegeta nearly collapsed, catching himself just barely with a hand on his knee, using T'charrl as well for some support. Haku had fallen back and was laid out on the grass, sheen with sweat as he was but otherwise fine. What an immense strain that had been, nearly every ounce of his Ki had been used in helping that. It felt like he'd just done a lap around the world and his lungs ached as though he'd not had a breath in some time, but they had done what they had to do. Checking on T'charrl he smiled breathlessly and gave a thumbs up, too winded to share any words of encouragement just yet.

"We... We made it out..." Yumi gasped out, collapsing on the grass as well and laughing breathlessly. Elated to be out of that hellish place she forgot for a moment her leg was wounded and only when several villagers approached her did she remember it, the adrenaline having largely numbed the pain. They seemed to be with some supplies, and as it happened the scouts had carried a small supply of bandages with them just in case. It wouldn't do much to stop the pain but at least bleeding shouldn't be an issue, though she'd have some serious damage with her leg being pierced through. Nodding gratefully as they covered her wound she looked to Viral with relief, reaching out and grabbing his paw with a smile. "Awesome job... I'm so glad you were there..."

Takeshi couldn't stay up either once they were through, letting his grip go on Shu as he stumbled forward and fell to his hands and knees. Everything was spinning and he was beginning to feel nauseous, groaning as he tried to make it stop and squeezing his eyes shut. Some of the villagers were trying to help him as well but he brushed them aside, more concerned about Shu than himself right now. He didn't know what kind of injuries his brother had but he still wanted Shu to be seen to first. "Buddy... You okay...? Talk to me."
No Ki to use, Yumi and Viral were already hurt, wasn't exactly the best start to a fight. Letting something like this stay around wasn't an option, if they got through then loads more people were going to get hurt. Getting pulled by Shu wasn't necessary as Takeshi already knew what they had to do, seeing Yumi basically crippled told them as much. Nodding once to Shu the older boy rushed in for an attack, watching as Viral missed when the man simply seemed to vanish again, teleporting away from his assailant. Sliding on his foot to change direction Takeshi growled and threw a kick as soon as he was close enough to strike, annoyed when all he caught was air, the figure warping away again. Spinning around full circle he punched out when the figure reappeared behind him, growing irritated as he simply vanished again. "Stand still and fight damn it!" Leaping after the man as soon as he came back into view Takeshi lifted his hands overhead and smashed down in place, shattering stone in his wake but missing again. He was being messed with wasn't he? Damn him!

"So fragile! So slow... How did you kill my pets? I do not understand..." the robed figure remarked questioningly, reaching into his cloak and rubbing at one could presume to be their head, "No matter... I have more, plenty more. And I will not need them anyways, my guests seem to be rather... Disappointing." The book was brandished again and floated before the man as he channeled the next spell, his hand glowing before the ground erupted in spikes again, directing them towards Takeshi and laughing as he darted about to avoid being caught. "It is fun to play though, it is! We will enjoy our company before they are killed, I am sure!" Seeing Yumi charging him again he cast the same spell again to force her to back off, grinning broadly at how noticeable slower she had become.

As soon as focus was split to Yumi, Takeshi went back in to try and attack again. Gritting his teeth as more spikes were brought up he lowered himself and charged forward, forcing himself to barrel through the rock and suffer a few minor cuts in the process as debris kicked up. With no energy to use and no weapon either he'd have to rely on his fists, but a split second decision gave him a little bit more. Grabbing a sharp piece of stone that had broken free he hurled it at the figure and watched as he vanished, looking around for his next appearance and darting towards him as soon as he'd come back. This time he'd actually managed to land a good punch that knocked the man off his feet, but in mid-air he'd retaliated and leashed some strange blue rope around Takeshi's ankle, lifting him up before throwing him away.
