With a soft round face accentuated by her distinctive facial features, Many would say that Hyeri presents a rather comely and pleasing appearance. She stands among the common height for an average female In Haneul at five foot six inches. Her figure is slim and svelte with small arms and shoulders, a modest bosom and a nicely defined waist. Athletic looking and well known by all for her flattering figure, her figure is often admired by both men and women alike. Her lips are a healthy shade of pink, and they are just one of the many genes inherited from her mother, along with her expressive dark brown almond-shaped eyes which twinkle with delight and excitement whenever she finds interest in something, and the twin brown orbs emote expressively in times of happiness, anger and sadness.

She wears her heart on her sleeve, with her emotions out in the open for all to see, and her eyes are clearly evidence of that. Her complexion is fair and likened to a shade of creamy ivory. Her dark jet black hair is an excellent complement to her pale skin which possess no scars or blemishes upon them. While she usually lets it down, she is not adverse to tying it up into a ponytail should she require more of a free of movement while engaging in any form of strenuous physical activity. While she likes dressing up and looking pretty, she does have this effortless beauty about her along with that girl-next-door feel that has been known to drive most men wild. Unfortunately for them, she was born into a royal family and no easy target for them. Her outfits in Haneul range from the traditional cultural dresses the royal family wears to the modern outfits of today that she is normally seen in, like dresses, blouses, pants and skirts. On certain rare occasions, some might even be able to catch in t-shirts if they are all extra snoopy and paparazzi like.

She is not one to lather herself in layers of makeup, simply opting for the minimum amount needed to stay fresh and maintain a clear and beautiful image in front of others, especially with all the various cameras around. Most citizens of Haneul would describe their crown princess as a dearly-loved national sweetheart who is as graceful as she is beautiful and with a heart-warming smile.

Hyeri has always been more of the introverted sort. She has never been the type to show or express her emotions easily, but when she does, you’ll know that it is absolutely genuine. This also leads into the fact that she is not a talkative chatterbox, but that in turn also makes her a great listener. When she’s quiet, she’s observant. That makes her a great considerate friend to have, as you’ll always know that they’ll be there to listen to your rants and whines without judgement. It’s not exactly that she is always silent, it’s more that she is taking the extra time to acknowledge her thoughts. She recognises what she is thinking and takes the extra time and effort to stop and reflect on it. This can work as a double-edged sword, but it is not something that she can change easily for a matter of fact. Hyeri is friendly and easy going, and is not a difficult person to get along with. She is polite and seldom rude, both to her peers and elders.

Humble and down-to-earth despite being royalty, she is known to mix around and immerse herself in the activities and events of the common people, which has earned her titles such as The Nation's Sweetheart, or Princess-Next-Door. Because of her lovable and incredibly likeable personality, Hyeri is more popular than any other royal family member, even her parents the king and queen. She is recognised as an icon and the face of Haneul, and ads throughout the country feature her if they are lucky enough to get her as an ambassador. Just about everything she promotes ends up as a success, and any piece of clothing she wears in public appearances sells out in minutes. It is safe to say that just about everyone in the country regardless of social and wealth status knows who she is.

She pursues an active lifestyle with plenty of energy to spare and likes to pursue anything that catches her interest and attention, and can often be found doing activities for either gender. She’s in the habit of proving that she’s just as good as men or better, and has proven herself in more than a few occasions in that enough of the men have recognised her for the fact. Hyeri is also known to be incredibly stubborn and prefers doing things her way. Hyeri does have a compassionate side to her though, and likes doing little things to show how she feels about her friends and loved ones where words would fail to describe how she feels for them. Hyeri is the only child born to the King and Queen of Haneul. Her parents had been trying for several years to conceive with no good news coming their way. One fine winter when the news finally came that the Queen was pregnant, the whole place erupted into an uproar as all the palace staff became excited about the baby even though she was only in the early stages of her pregnancy. The Queen was given the best treatment possible, from drinking herbal medicine, to getting check-ups from the best doctors in the country. Fast-forward nine months, Hyeri was finally born after a much anticipated delivery that didn't just keep the whole palace on tenterhooks, but the whole country waited on baited breaths as well, as news and media countries found themselves camping outside of the palace grounds waiting for any news of childbirth. When she was delivered safely, a palace spokesman went out to address the media and informed them that a girl has been born. The day would come to be known as a national holiday to celebrate the birth of the crown princess.

As Hyeri grew up, she continued to remain in the spotlight. She'd been in the spotlight since she was born, and it most certainly wasn't going to stop now. The Haneuli public soon found themselves falling in love with the little endearing crown princess who was as charming as she was photogenic. She grew up being tutored by the best teachers in the nation and a huge series of curriculum that was befitting that of a child of a royal family. She found all the studying really boring, and she could often be found escaping her classes which often ended up in a hide-and-seek game with her maidservants and bodyguards. That usually ended up with the same result of them finding her, and the young girl getting lectured and punished by her royal parents. Dealing with a rebellious child was not easy, but fortunately for them, they had the resources of the entire country at their disposal. As she grew up into teenager, the rebellious phase wore off, and a much more subdued one took its place. Hyeri found herself inclined towards the arts, and got into music and dance. She learnt how to play the flute and the piano, and started attending ballet lessons regularly. As she began to edge into the young adult stage of her life, Hyeri found that she loved involving herself in community work and spending time with the common people.

The people loved her, and she loved them back. She also began to take up modelling and involving herself heavily in social media, with a dedicated team at her side. It was considered an honour for any company that was allowed to feature the crown princess as their ambassador in their commercials and advertisements, and the Palace Public Relations Department handles hundreds of requests from various companies each week. It would not be surprising to see her face being plastered on many billboards and posters all over the country and she is loved for it. As soon as she began to approach her twenties, talks of marriage became a hot topic within the country as everyone started discussing about who her future husband would be. Talk shows, radio shows, online forums, practically everyone began talking about who that might be. When no word was released by the Palace Public Relations department for two years, the talks began to die down, but if you thought that meant that the public was no longer interested in the crown princess's marriage, you'll be wrong.

Ruby stands at five feet seven inches and weighs in at around one hundred and twelve pounds. The first facial feature you’ll recognise of her are those highly distinctive chocolate brown eyes that she possess. Her face is oval in shape, her nose pert, and her lips a healthy shade of pink. In times of happiness, darling little dents of delight appears on her youthful visage, the dimples ever present whenever any form of smile or grin makes itself known. Her long straight hair is a lovely shade of raven black that complements her fair ivory skin very well. It has been dyed both brown and red in the past.

She is known to alter it according to a particular phase or mood she may be going through during certain periods in her life. Although she occasionally wearing her chest-level hair down, Ruby usually wears her hair up in a ponytail or plaited down her front to allow her ease of movement in her daily activities. Ruby's eyebrows are neatly plucked and well maintained and her flawless ivory complexion boasts a hint of golden undertones and is unblemished without any physical scars. Her face shape is somewhere between 'oval' and 'heart-shaped'. Her features and long and slender and her physique is slim and feminine looking, edging on the athletic side of things, honed from years of ballet and cheerleading training. Ruby is not one to seen with plenty of make-up on, only simply putting on the basic necessities such as some light foundation, lipstick and eyeliner.

Ruby was born on balmy summer’s day, on a day where the sun actually made a bold presence in the constantly snowing sky of a mid december morning. Her parents, Richard and Angela had been trying unsuccessfully for months to get a child, and the birth of the only child in the between the pair would come highly appreciated. She’d truly been their last shot, for her mother had sworn to give up should there be another failure in their attempts. The Chois were an enormously wealthy family who came from a long line of old money that stretched all the way to their ancestors first successes during the Ancient Joseon era in Korea. Her father had one other brother among his four siblings, and his younger brother had already one-up him by having a son months before her mother even got pregnant. Although Richard was disappointed by the fact of having a daughter, he had never let it be known.

The way he treated the young Ruby with such dutiful care and affection, no one would have ever suspected otherwise. Born with a silver spoon in her mouth, she never had to worry about money and had whatever you desired, be it that pony she had for her sixth birthday, or flying to the US for a birthday holiday. Her education was reserved for private schools, where she mixed around with those of the wealthy upper class. Her family’s name was too well-known to mix around with the rest of the populace in the public schools as her family elders felt. Richard soon had plans to expand his business into the United States, and he moved the family over and where they would start a new life over in a new country. Ruby was very unhappy about the situation. She had established a great company of friends, a stable life and everything she needed and was comfortable with. Now, she had to start all over in a foreign country where she had to learn the culture and make new friends. Fortunately, she did not have to deal with learning the language, as she was brought up to learn both Korean and English simultaneously and thus, already fluent in both.

In a bid to occupy her time, Ruby resumed the same hobbies she had back in Korea, Ballet and Karate. She trained hard at them, trying to spend her time there to compensate for the problems she faced at school. Her father was unhappy with the tantrums she had thrown since their move and had emphasised over and over that she was resuming her martial arts training whether she liked it or not. He mentioned that it would be a good way for her to train her discipline since she had been particularly lacking in it. Begrudgingly, she went along with it. It was not like she hated Karate or anything. She actually found it a good way to release all that pent-up anger. The one thing she lacked right now? Friends. Real friends. Companionship. Despite her family’s wealth and her likeable personality, She wasn’t exactly popular with these lot. She had no idea why. She just didn’t quite fit in with the rest. After having another one of those big fights she had been having since they came to the States, Ruby ran away from home, heading into the heavily forested areas behind the family's large estate. Hours past and soon night fell, Ruby didn't want to admit it, but she was totally and utterly lost. She was getting more and more tired of the whole ordeal by the minute and just wanted to go home, but the whole forest looked the same everywhere and she was no closer to getting home than she was two hours ago. The girl was lost.

She eventually stumbled upon a strange red glowing light from the mouth of a cave, and with her curiosity piqued, there was no way Ruby was not going to take a look inside. It was there she came face-to-face with a Type-Red crystal, basking her face and her whole body in a red glow as she felt a weird tingling sensation pass over her. Running away from the cave, she eventually tripped over an overgrown tree root and fell face first onto the ground before she blacked out. When she woke, Ruby was already back at home, in her room on her bed, gazing onto the shocked expression of her maid servant who ran to alert her parents. Her parents soon came to check in on her, and she apologised for the whole ordeal before she told them what she had seen in the woods. Richard was a a donor and also had close ties to the FAMA director in the city and he understood exactly what his daughter had seen. He knew that it was only a matter of time before her abilities would manifest in some shape or form.

That day came soon enough two years later when Ruby almost burned down half the family's mansion when she was having a rather violent nightmare that night. The night guard had seen the fire from his post outside the mansion and alerted the fire department immediately. It was highly fortunate that there was no loss of life, only a very frightened girl and the loss of property and damages from the fire. After this incident, Richard knew that he could wait to further, and he asked his friend for a favour and the both of them made arrangements for Ruby to attend the academy so that she could learn to better control her powers.

Ruby has the pyrokinetic ability to control fire. Together with her unflinching will and strong determination, she can generate fire energy that is fueled by her body's own life force that is reflected through a variety of positive and negative emotions that help augments and reflects her abilities. Although she can create her own fire, she is also able to control or enhance any fire or flames near by. One of the most popular ways she utilises her powers it to fuse it in her martial arts prowess, using swift whirling kicks and punches to create diverse shapes for offensive attacks. Quick flurries of kicks and punches allows her to retain great mobility while she tries to push back her enemy/opponent into uncomfortable territory. Apart from these, she is also able to create the more conventional techniques such as fireballs and other projectiles, breathe fire and also makes her immune to fire and being burnt.

Having a great sense of control, will and discipline is paramount to retaining control over her powers. Unconscious, or use of powers during uncontrolled emotional distress state can lead to disastrous consequences.The skill, size, and speed of projectiles and other manipulations is still solely based on how good is she with her powers and her knowledge of how to control and properly utilise them. Although she can create fire, she is still bound by the nature of the fire triangle. Oxygen, Fuel and Heat are all requirements for there to be fire, no matter the circumstances. When it comes to breathing fire, breathing techniques play a big role in its success. It comes not from physical size or strength, but from proper display of technique. Self-restraint and breath control are key skills of any fire breathers, and they are usually mastered before those with fire manipulation move on to other abilities.

There are actually quite a number of weaknesses that weakens this power significantly. Extreme cold would be the first one. Cold temperatures lowers a person's internal body energy which makes creating fire difficult as without external sources, fire is created through her own energy. However, a person with a stronger will than usual can still dig deep enough to warm themselves up enough. Her style of applying her abilities has been very much offensive related, lacking any real defensive techniques because there isn't many ways fire can be used for defense(or at least what she knows about). Fire is by nature a confrontational element, and thus her defense so far has been only a strong offence. Another important thing to possess the inner drive and fire within one person. Once they lack the drive and motivation to pursue towards a common goal, their fire becomes weak and no longer as capable of reaching their highest potential. Self control and restraint is something that those with fire manipulation has to always maintain as fire is as fickle a tool as it is a punishment. Those who underestimate it will have to deal with the consequences.

My only concern is that I'd like to know a bit about her karate training like some context because it doesn't really come up in her backstory and I'm wondering why she would pursue it.

Claire looked at herself in the mirror and smiled back at her own reflection. She was utterly pleased with her Halloween costume. She was dressed in an all black bodysuit with white bones neatly and expertly painted all over it. She had also arranged with a make-up artist who owed her a favour to paint her face with realistic looking skull paint and this was all going the way she had envisioned it to be. Her long black hair went along really well with the whole black and white colour theme of the costume.

The thoughts of reactions from the others already was starting to make her grin. She took a look at her phone, checking for any texts from anyone. No new ones just yet, just the most recent one telling all of them to make sure to attend the party at Ron's place.

Gathering her haversack, and whatever else she need, she slung it on her back and left the house, getting onto her bicycle. Claire couldn't afford a car, and cycling everywhere was easy and convenient enough for her.

She managed to turn a few heads from curious people she passed along the streets, it must have been an amusing sight to see someone with skeleton face paint clad in a black and white jacket riding a bright yellow bicycle, her hair flying in the wind.

Some of them even gave her a thumbs up sign, especially from those fellow Halloween-goers. She finally reached the house, and saw the familiar sight of Isaac's truck. He must already be in there. She knocked on the door with a series of quick taps, trying her best not to grin. Whoever opened the door would find her there in her black and white skeletal glory as she announced "Treat or Treat"!

Richard soon had plans to expand his business into the United States, and he moved the family over and where they would start a new life over in a new country. Ruby was very unhappy about the situation. She had established a great company of friends, a stable life and everything she needed and was comfortable with. Now, she had to start all over in a foreign country where she had to learn the culture and make new friends. Fortunately, she did not have to deal with learning the language, as she was brought up to learn both Korean and English simultaneously and thus, already fluent in both.

In a bid to occupy her time, Ruby resumed the same hobbies she had back in Korea, Ballet and Karate. She trained hard at them, trying to spend her time there to compensate for the problems she faced at school. Her father was unhappy with the tantrums she had thrown since their move and had emphasised over and over that she was resuming her martial arts training whether she liked it or not. He mentioned that it would be a good way for her to train her discipline since she had been particularly lacking in it. Begrudgingly, she went along with it. It was not like she hated Karate or anything. She actually found it a good way to release all that pent-up anger. The one thing she lacked right now? Friends. Real friends. Companionship. Despite her family’s wealth and her likeable personality, She wasn’t exactly popular with these lot. She had no idea why. She just didn’t quite fit in with the rest. After having another one of those big fights she had been having since they came to the States, Ruby ran away from home, heading into the heavily forested areas behind the family's large estate. Hours past and soon night fell, Ruby didn't want to admit it, but she was totally and utterly lost. She was getting more and more tired of the whole ordeal by the minute and just wanted to go home, but the whole forest looked the same everywhere and she was no closer to getting home than she was two hours ago. The girl was lost.

She eventually stumbled upon a strange red glowing light from the mouth of a cave, and with her curiosity piqued, there was no way Ruby was not going to take a look inside. It was there she came face-to-face with a Type-Red crystal, basking her face and her whole body in a red glow as she felt a weird tingling sensation pass over her. Running away from the cave, she eventually tripped over an overgrown tree root and fell face first onto the ground before she blacked out. When she woke, Ruby was already back at home, in her room on her bed, gazing onto the shocked expression of her maid servant who ran to alert her parents. Her parents soon came to check in on her, and she apologised for the whole ordeal before she told them what she had seen in the woods. Richard was a a donor and also had close ties to the FAMA director in the city and he understood exactly what his daughter had seen. He knew that it was only a matter of time before her abilities would manifest in some shape or form.

That day came soon enough two years later when Ruby almost burned down half the family's mansion when she was having a rather violent nightmare that night. The night guard had seen the fire from his post outside the mansion and alerted the fire department immediately. It was highly fortunate that there was no loss of life, only a very frightened girl and the loss of property and damages from the fire. After this incident, Richard knew that he could wait to further, and he asked his friend for a favour and the both of them made arrangements for Ruby to attend the academy so that she could learn to better control her powers.

Fire Manipulation
Ruby has the pyrokinetic ability to control fire. Together with her unflinching will and strong determination, she can generate fire energy that is fueled by her body's own life force that is reflected through a variety of positive and negative emotions that help augments and reflects her abilities. Although she can create her own fire, she is also able to control or enhance any fire or flames near by. One of the most popular ways she utilises her powers it to fuse it in her martial arts prowess, using swift whirling kicks and punches to create diverse shapes for offensive attacks. Quick flurries of kicks and punches allows her to retain great mobility while she tries to push back her enemy/opponent into uncomfortable territory. Apart from these, she is also able to create the more conventional techniques such as fireballs and other projectiles, breathe fire and also makes her immune to fire and being burnt.

Having a great sense of control, will and discipline is paramount to retaining control over her powers. Unconscious, or use of powers during uncontrolled emotional distress state can lead to disastrous consequences.The skill, size, and speed of projectiles and other manipulations is still solely based on how good is she with her powers and her knowledge of how to control and properly utilise them. Although she can create fire, she is still bound by the nature of the fire triangle. Oxygen, Fuel and Heat are all requirements for there to be fire, no matter the circumstances. When it comes to breathing fire, breathing techniques play a big role in its success. It comes not from physical size or strength, but from proper display of technique. Self-restraint and breath control are key skills of any fire breathers, and they are usually mastered before those with fire manipulation move on to other abilities.

There are actually quite a number of weaknesses that weakens this power significantly. Extreme cold would be the first one. Cold temperatures lowers a person's internal body energy which makes creating fire difficult as without external sources, fire is created through her own energy. However, a person with a stronger will than usual can still dig deep enough to warm themselves up enough. Her style of applying her abilities has been very much offensive related, lacking any real defensive techniques because there isn't many ways fire can be used for defense(or at least what she knows about). Fire is by nature a confrontational element, and thus her defense so far has been only a strong offence. Another important thing to possess the inner drive and fire within one person. Once they lack the drive and motivation to pursue towards a common goal, their fire becomes weak and no longer as capable of reaching their highest potential. Self control and restraint is something that those with fire manipulation has to always maintain as fire is as fickle a tool as it is a punishment. Those who underestimate it will have to deal with the consequences.

Claire was born on a sunny summer morning to a very excitable brother and loving parents. The story of the couple who were very much in love meeting had always been a family favourite. Young Michael has been awaiting the birth of his younger sister ever since he saw the baby bump on his mother’s stomach. The thought of no longer being alone and having a younger sibling now excited him beyond words. It was thus needless to say that as Claire grew up, she and her brother grew to be very close to each other. The young girl would follow Michael everywhere, trailing him like his shadow, and the older boy loved it and he doted on his sister like nobody else. They did pretty much everything together, or at least whatever she could manage to do, despite the four year age gap that the two siblings shared.

Claire grew up to be a cheerful and inquisitive child who found great pleasure in learning new things. She was also pretty much fearless, and was even braver than her older brother at times. She was first introduced to photography by her father at the age of ten. He had been quite the shutterbug as well in his younger days, and when she asked him about his old camera she found in his old belongings, he reminisced along with her. She soon fell in love with photography as well, and can usually be soon with a camera close by, either on her person or in her bag somewhere. She would take a photo of anything she found interesting and upload them to social media and writing some brief words about them. In school, she was a decent student that did well in her studies. She was near the top of the class, but never boastful, instead she focused on helping others instead. Claire was well-liked by most, and had a fair share of friends.

Romance had always been something foreign to her. She'd never had a boyfriend, not because she didn't want to, but for some reason, very few guys approached her to ask her out. However, nothing else happened after that, and he simply took it as she was not interested in her, when simply she had no idea on what to do with relationship matters. She does observe more than a fair share of boys staring or looking at her, but she usually tries to avoid eye contact unless she has an intention of confronting them for something she is angry about. She took her dancing and cheerleading seriously, and put a good amount of serious effort into it and focused more time with her friends. When she's not in school, busy with her studies or hanging out with her friends, she can be seen in her parent's restaurant, the only eatery selling Korean and Chinese cuisine in town.
