"That'd be... pretty helpful, not gonna lie. Normally I have Seabreeze perched on my head, but... well... that Dragon Pulse knocked him clean out." Skylar pat the floor with his cane as he started walking back to town, Florrie at his side. "Truth be told, I'm not completely blind, but if you asked me to read anything that wasn't two inches in front of my face, glasses or not I wouldn't be able to." Skylar chuckled. "My vision is that blurry."
The walk back to town was... uneventful. Skylar knew roughly where to head, judging from the lights in the distance, but he did appreciate Florrie helping him back to town.
As she brought up how she and Dunstan could use some help with something, Skylar nodded and offered a smile. "I was already planning on it. I happen to be a photographer of sorts, and the pictures I've taken on this journey might be of some interest to Dunstan. That, plus now I need to go resurrect another fossil." That Old Amber might turn into quite a pretty reliable team member. "I'm gonna heal up my team then I'll be right there." He offered a small wave before stepping into the Pokemon Center and healing his team back up from... basically nothing.
Once everyone was healed, Skylar quickly let everyone out when he exited the Pokecenter.
"Wingull? Seabreeze wasted no time perching back onto Skylar's head.
"..." Paradise was calm and quiet. Not especially unusual.
"Ral?" Mac climbed onto Paradise's back and waited for Skylar to speak.
"Combusken! Comb! Usken!" Mac was practically dancing in satisfaction from that last battle.
"Vivillon...? Vivillon!" Jeebs practically joined in moments after assessment.
"Emu!" Royal offered a cocky smirk, like it was nothing.
"Alright, quick debriefing. I know you guys probably still need a bit to rest up from that, so I won't keep you waiting." Skylar started to his group, sitting on the dusty ground and calling his little pow-wow. "While yeah, that wasn't the cleanest victory, we still pulled through with our heads held high! Every single one of you should be proud of yourselves!" He praised the lot of his group, everyone's spirits raising a little more. "All we can go from here is up, and with team members like you kids, I'm confident we can keep moving." Skylar patted everyone on the head, and one by one the group... purred. Weird to think about a bird purring, but Seabreeze certainly did.
"Mac, Seabreeze, do you mind staying out of your Pokeballs? I promise, no more training until morning if I can help it."
"Combusken!" "Gull!"
"That's what I like to hear. Alright guys, get a good rest. I'll let you guys out before I go to bed tonight." he called back his other four Pokemon before standing back up, Mac running to Skylar's side and bouncing on his claws. "Back to the lab again. Let's see about another potential friend..."
And thusly, the crew went back to the lab.
Skylar's immediate first reaction was to head back to the guy who handled his fossil before. With any hope, he could maybe resurrect two at a time for the trainer...? "Hey, so I know I might be acting like a burden, but is there any way you could take another fossil for me and resurrect it as well?" Skylar held up his Old Amber. "It'd be totally fine if you couldn't, we can just do a trade-off tomorrow morning when I come back for the Plume Fossil."
Regardless of anything that happened, Skylar and co. would be facing Dunstan's office in a few minutes at most.
"Hello? Professor Dunstan?" the trainer knocked a few times. "Uh, mind if I come in? I have a few pictures to show you!"
