Welcome to Beacon Academy: A RWBY RP

This RP is based on the RWBY webseries, but takes place in an alternate universe where the majority of the cast never existed.

You are a new student at Beacon Academy, the finest institution for training Huntsmen and Huntresses, warriors that protect humanity from the monstrous creatures of Grimm. You will be assigned into a team of four to live, learn, and fight alongside each other.

Character Sheet:

Name: Anything goes here, but the series creator has some suggestions.
Race: Most students are either human or Faunus, humans with some animalistic traits.
Age: Most students enter Beacon at 17, though you may be a little ahead of or behind the curve.
Gender: Fairly simple.
Bio: A little about your character's personality and past.
Weapon: Students craft their own weapons, most of which have multiple forms and powers of their own.
Semblance: Your unique ability, tied to you rather than your weapon.
Strength/Weakness: Choose up to two strong categories and an equal number of weaknesses from those below.

Weapon: Your weapons should be counted as a strength if they're significantly stronger or more versatile than average. Likewise, plain or weak weapons can count as a weakness.
Skill: Your general combat ability. Feel free to detail the nature of your skills.
Aura: Your Aura acts as a protective field around you. A strong Aura means you can take more hits than usual.
Semblance: Using your Semblance takes energy in proportion to its power. This trait will give you more or less impact for that energy.
Knowledge: Knowing your enemy and forming a battle plan can be crucial to your survival.
Social: Working with people is crucial both on and off the battlefield.

8 of your characters will play the role of Beacon students, and be formed into two teams. Any others will be placed in outside roles, such as exchange students. If we get any more applicants, there may even be room for a 3rd team, but 12 is the hard limit.

:=:=:Appearance: Tall and curvaceous, but her attractive appearance is marred by the wild hairstyles and makeup she chooses from day to day. Her eyes shift color randomly as well. She has several scars on her body, and new ones appear at an ever-increasing rate.

-Active: Can induce hallucinations or heighten emotions to the point they override reason.
-Passive: Anyone around her is affected by her abilities, but to a lesser extent. What appears to her victim as a horrific demon might look to a bystander like someone in a Halloween mask. Likewise with her emotional manipulations.
-Drawback: She isn't immune to the bizarre world growing in her mind, and neither are those around her. Jennifer and anyone other than a Wild God who stays close to her will find their mental health decaying, albeit very slowly.

Far above the festival, two figures in a helicopter were observing the crowd below. A man in a flight suit adjusted the last few straps for a girl wearing a parachute.

"You sure know how to make an entrance, kid."

"Damn right I do. I figure I might as well start showing I'm number one from the very start."

The girl gave her instructor a thumbs-up and turned to look out the open door.

"A contest to become a god. Never thought I'd get to try something this wild."

"Well, kid, you're cut out for it. Good luck to ya."

"This isn't about luck... but thanks."

With a wink, she jumped from the chopper with the easy confidence of a career daredevil.
