Where have I been? Has anyone died while I was gone? Who's president? Should I be wary of our new alien overlords? Who fed my cat while I was abscent? WHERE'S MY SKITTLES?!?
Jokes aside, my name's GodOfWar. I used to be part of the Roleplayer guild community a while back, and i'm just recently returning. I'm excited to get back into the groove and maybe join in on some new roleplays. I already got myself an ok interest check going, so yeah.
Take a seat, traveler. You've seemed restless ever since I fished you out of the gutters. Your journey must have been long, if you did intend to find yourself here. I've heard that many treks to The Morges are quite perilous. It's amusing, really, that we don't get many intentional visitors. So what would bring the likes of you here? Money? Trade? Curiosity?
Adventuring, you say? I find that hard to believe.
Your type don't stay long around these parts. We've been damned for a good while, I tell you. We live in the part of the world where a stake and cross is more valuable than a good meal. Where opening a window at night is a sin. Where children are told in rhymes how deadly the night can be. Oh, you think it's funny, do ya'? We've learned to survive in this nightmare, and sadly, you haven't. If your hoping to find yourself a adventure here, may the Gods have mercy on your soul. They surely haven't had any mercy on us...
I'll feed and bed you for the night. No more, no less. Your on your own after that.
"Stoke your fire, the moon hungers to snuff it out."
Death and malice is common place upon The Morges, a territory forever plagued with evil and damnation since it's fall. Reanimated corpses lurk the street corners, pounding on doors and households at the stroke of midnight. Witches burn entire villages, fighting against the infamous witch hunts they dread. Coherent madness draws the attention of meddling demons and spirits, hungry for sin. Mankind itself has started to descend into the ravings of The Morges, fostering werewolves and other unnatural beasts in an attempt to insist the land's immoral roots. Yet, the rich darkness draws to it many heroes, a force able to reignite the small embers of hope still present in those parts. But fire is easily smothered...
"Horror is welcome company here."
Well hello, ladies and gentleman, and thank you for checking out this interest check! I am thoughtful of DMing a gothic style campaign for 5th edition DnD, based around dreadful European myths and stories. The plot will more or less involve characters discovering the past of the corrupted Morges, while also dealing with destructive phenomenons that will agitate the entire narrative. I hope to structure this story to be rewarding to quick and clever thinking, reviving the tactic of mental reasoning over dice-rolling chance (but don't worry, there will still be dice rolling). More information will probably pop up with the Ooc, but for right now, this is all the neccesary info provided for the check. If you have any questions or are interested, please comment.
"The allure of death is one that is unparalleled."
For this RP, I will be asking everyone to please us a website called [MythWeavers] for CS creation. The site contains a character sheet generator that is easy to use, so indeed use it! You may PM the link to your sheet to me once your done, or post it whenever the Ooc is up. If you do not have a login with MythWeavers, you may need to make one.
Additionally, character sheets will have to include why your character has been drawn to The Morges. Is your gnome warlock intruiged with the amount of dark magic emanating from such a potent environment? Is your half-Orc paladin duty sworn to dispel the dark curse laid upon the land? It's up to you.
1. You must know the rules of DnD 5E. Newcomers to DnD and roleplaying in general are welcome, but we would like to stray away from constant tutoring sessions. 2. Keep RP heat in the RP. Do not take offensive actions against a person because of his or her character's action. Furthermore, just straight up being a jerk is prohibited, for any reason. 3. GM's word is final. This rule is here to prevent arguments on rules and/or other variables. If you disagree with the GM's verdict, that's fine, but do not rant about how incorrect he or she is. 4. All comments are kept in the Ooc, please do not ask out of game questions in the IC. 5. All races and classes in the 5E player's handbook are applicable to this campaign, homebrew races and classes are acceptable if approved first.
Thank you again to everyone who has taken the time to read this interest check. If you have any comments, questions, or are interested in the RP, please say so!
Hey umm, you guys realize that I've been messing with you right ? I said it in my other post that I've come back to sex puns, I've realized it in one of my post before hand and have been screwing with everyone.
