Current Sometimes it doesn’t matter too much what choice you make, as long as you make it quick and stick to it.

You should laugh every moment you live, for you'll find it decidedly difficult afterwards.

Bio

Hey there, I assume you want to know about me so here it is...

The name is gowia (g-ow-ee-ah) or Alex. Or anything else you come up with, I'm not fussy.

I am a 25 year old male, though comfortably I'll play anything as a character.

I am a Brit born and bred and so that is my lingo, I use British words and love my slang, and if I don't seem to make sense I may simply be using English idioms that don't translate outside the rural country abodes I swan around.

I enjoy all sorts of things, I am an avid football (soccer) player and supporter, adore music, and live for a good story. I am in love with history. So you will always get a decent plot or conversation out of me on that subject.

If there is anything else you need to ask, feel free too. I swear I don't bite... much.

Jack couldn't believe it. This stranger turns up in the middle of the night to oogle at his bike!? Some people clearly had no sense of time or privacy. Sighing he shook his head, inwardly thinking he should have put his bike away, but outwardly saying something different.

"No, just piss off would you. I don't even know what time it is and I don't want to tell you anything about the bike except that she isn't for sale." Jack had had offers before. "So hows about you turn around and scamper away because I want to go back to bed." And with that Jack slammed the door shut. The girls presence immediately put him into a bad mood and, scratching at his eyes, he begun to tread back slowly to the embrace of his sheets. Stripping down as he went the two items of clothing marked out his trail to bed and before long Jack was once again planted in the warm embrace of his dreams. The random girl was already drifting from his mind. Tomorrow he might see if he could get a name from Derrick however Jack doubted he would. Instead he decided he would use his day off and the money from todays job to treat himself to a pie at the football and some time spent working on installing the new parts.
Jack narrowed his eyes as the man mentioned he was neither. In all honesty Scavengers were nothing to him but wannabe heroes. However the man was armed and his arrogant dismissal of the camp's rules tickled Jack. Though his knowledge, or lack of, meant he wasn't a local. Hell Jack had had enough of being told what to do by the camp, and it's prestigious guests. Walking forward he gestured out of the door.

"Have you seen the state of the camp fella? We are packed in here and if there was much spare room it would be taken." Then pointing to one of the dirtier looking ends of the camp he spoke again. "See, I was one of the first ones here and I get shitted on. Now I may have a bed in my bunk that is free, but a decent space to sleep is hard to come by around here so..." Jack looked off into the distance and then smiled.

"Tell you what! You can have the bunk for thw night, if you get me something nice. Don't care what! But something I can't get this side of the fence." Turning Jack was caught in a slight daze but then righted himself. He then offered his hand and plastered on a cheeky grin.
Jack had immediately taken a liking to Matt. The guy seemed honest, hard working and like he was just trying to make his way in life. Whilst the foremost was not always a boon these days, the rest were respectable enough. Sipping at his drink Jack almost laughed at the question too his origins. Hell, if he had a choice he would still be back home.

"Grew up in London. School was shit so I just bummed around, making some money from a number of less than legal vemtures and eventually my parents got tired of it. Family booked me a flight and sent me to live with my Aunt over this side of the pond. Course I didn't change toi much." Jack winked and then downed the remainder of his drink.

"Anyways, thanks for the drink Matty boy. I shall return the favour someday. Until then keep yourself well." Jack got up, patted Matt on the bag and half walked, half stumbled, towards the exit. He hadn't noticed the Scavenger come in and so was thoroughly surprised as he collided with the blonde haired man. Reversing suddenly Jack spluttered out a curse.

"Fucking hell! Watch where your going." Jack then noticed the gun. "Jesus christ, it is not my night, guard or blue top? 'Cus those are the only two groups allowed guns out in the open here." Of course many others had firearms and Jack had his eye on a nice pistol. But on thw black market they were incredibly expensive and more of a pipe dream for most.
Jack was just starting to drift into an incredibly warm dream when there was a knock at the door. Startled by the sharp sound he almost fell out of bed and scrambled around in the sheets like a turtle on it's back. Clawring the sleep from his tired eyes Jack got up and stretched.his named frame shuddered and stretched, before leabing over and hrabbing a spare tee and a pair of loose fitting lounge trousers. The short journey to the front door seemed like an epic and Jack managed to stumble on every piece of furniture and some rubbish on the floor. Arriving at the door he peeked into the little hole in his door and the glass equipment revealed a hooded female staring back. Jack didn't recongise her.

Waking up properly now he turned and walked back to his room. Grabbing his piece he checked that a round was present in thw chamber before walking back too the door. Pressing the gun up against the door, so it was out of sight, Jack opened up the door as far as the chain on it would allow. One could never be too careful in his business. Poking his eye around the crack in the door he gave the girl a once over. A lot more petite looking than she had been in the little glass look see, Jack admitted she might have been fairly attractove however that didnt take away from the fact she was a stranger.

"What d'you want love?" His gruff voice cracked slightly from his parched throat and Jack kept the gun trained on the girl through the door.
Sorry to say I am not enjoying this as much as before. So I am going to be dropping out. Thanks for the time and I hope you guys continue to RP in it. As the idea is a very good one :)
The United States of America

PEACE RETURNS TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

This morning, at nine AM local time, Alexander Stephens arrived at the White House, escorted by a party of guards. Although the press were denied access to the President's home for the meeting all are aware of what this meeting is about. Only thirty minutes later the President appeared for a press conference in the WHite House, greeting reporters and radiomen as they filed into the prestigious room. Presenting a signed document he announced 'The Civil War is over, America is, once more, a peaceful and united nation.' This comment was of course met with great roars of approval and applause by the crowd, including this reporter, as he handed the document around for us to hold. Although requests were made too question Alexander Stephens on his feelings having just declared surrender, the President refused stating 'this is not a time for grandstanding and mockery. Alexander has been escorted, out of a back room, to an awaiting airship. From there he is to be taken too Alcatraz island and await sentencing by a jury of his peers.' A noble gesture by the great Abraham Lincoln however it sparked some dissatisfaction from many Negro reporters who, though most held their tongue.
The Washington Post

Elsewhere in the USA two new bills have just been announced by the National Congress, under the State of Emergency Act that was caused by the Civil War. Attached to the joint bills is the clause that the State of Emergency Act is no longer in effect and that the National Congress must now go through normal procedure to generate laws.

The Bill states that with the recent Civil War, and a seemingly national feeling of alienation between the South and the Government, changes need to be made to how the country is structured so that a feeling of national unity is introduced. A major cause for this chasm in the nations people is the difference in location. Firstly the North is heavily industrialised and has been for some time, with a stream of different immigrants arriving and creating a large pool of cheap labour. However the South has received very little in the way of immigration and has maintained very agrarian roots. Secondly the North is home to much of the international trading ports and much of the infrastructure is based out of the North, meaning much of the South remains completely untouched by any of the growth experienced by the presence of such projects. To counter effects like this the following laws have been introduced/altered.

1-New zoning laws will mean that designated plots of wide, open land will be set aside for the agrarian demands of the country, whilst much of the land surrounding hubs of culture will be redesignated for industrial development, placing sizable discounts on land that is developed in the South for industrial purposes. Alongside this many sites of development in the North that no longer are in use, on the outskirts of cities, will be re developed as locations of agriculture. Even small plots will be turned into local farmland.

2-A Board of Railworks will be created, this boards job will be to allocate railway companies subsidies depending on the extent they promise to expand the network by, with those planning to expand greatly, and more to the South, receiving greater subsidization.

3-In accordance with the peace treaty signed by Alexander Stephens, slavery has been made illegal in the United States of America and every man, woman and child who currently lives as, or lived as, a slave has been hereby emancipated.

4-A new Work Projects board will be established. The job of this board will be to take immigrants who arrive into America and organise them so that they are sent to locations where industry is still growing. In an effort to spark industry by the creation of a pool of cheap labour.

5-Finally with the country needing to return to a peacetime economy the government has been authorized to buy up all excess war equipmnt and goods, so long as they are sold at a reduced price. Allowing companies to then revert to making peacetime goods again, as well as clearing any back stock of war time goods that would have ended up simply costing them.
The Reunification of America Bill

Recent conflict has left the US with very little in the way of strong diplomatic ties. Self interest has prevailed over international policy and this is an error that needs to be ammended. The following new/amended laws will take place immediately, in attempts to restart foreign trade and diplomacy.

1-Tariffs for goods from outside of America have been reduced, making it cheaper for imports to be brought into the country. However goods from Japan and China have had tariffs increased, making them more expensive to import.

2-Docking fees have been reduced and (air)ships over a certain weight can completely avoid the fee if they bring in, above, a set amount of goods.

3-Taxes on exports have been reduced, making it cheaper for foreign powers to buy American goods.
The Deisolation of America Bill

Finally with the surrender of Alexander Stephens, and the Confederacy, every man who served under the banner of the Confederate States has been asked to stand down. If they do so by the seventh of January then they will not be punished or harmed for their part in the Civil War, and will be allowed to return to their lives and homes.
I believe Duck has abandoned this due to a lack of interest and the success of his other NRP.
The rumble of the bike was deafening for a second before it receded into a low hum. A few heads turned however most of the bystanders simply carried on with their lives. Brixton was a rough end of London and had seen its fair share of troubles and fights. So when Jack had erupted from one of the terrace's windows in a shower of glass a few heads turned but most just tried to walk away. A quick fight with one of the large men, who had jumped out after him, ended up with a knife in the man's gut and Jack making off with a gym bag filled with money. The job was supposed to be quiet and undetected however he had arrived late and the money was in someone elses hands. Better this way than no way at all though, in Jack's opinion. Weaving in and out of the London traffic, Jack was grateful for the slim frame of the bike compared to the monstrous widths of the cars. It saved so much time and cost a lot less in petrol. Plus, no congestion charge. Smiling as he pulled up to some traffic lights Jack made sure his helmet was strapped on tightly and then leant on his handlebars. He had one quick stop before he could head home. The bins in Chinatown. Peeling off to the right as the lights turned green Jack could already smell the aromas of the east filling his nose.

Pulling into a small alley way he lifted the gym bag up and over his head before depositing it into the open, green, wheelie bin that had been left out for him. Using his legs he then rolled the bike back onto the street and revved up before pulling away. A good days work and he would get the fruits of his labour tomorrow at the club meeting. Until then it was time for dinner. Taking a slow ride home Jack enjoyed the sights and smells of London. Always had done. Arriving back at his block of flats he was greeted by the doorman, Derrick, a tough old groat who had come up in a different gang to Jack. Though Derrick had left all of that to be with his family and sported a lovely wife and two great kids. Ad Derrick was also one of the friendliest guys Jack had ever met, you never would have pegged him as a murderer.

Climbing the three flights of stairs Jack arrived at his door and went about his routine. Pulling a tub of left over chow-mein out of the fridge he went to town on it whilst watching the crap on TV. Before going to bed Jack made sure to check in on his new bike parts. Bought off a retiring member of the club they had been cleaned and refurbed and looked spectacular pieces of chrome, ready for his bike as well. Finally after a long day, Jack lay his head to rest.
