Sean Malloy was one of the town’s most eligible bachelors. Granted, a woman had yet to get him to settle down into even a steady relationship, forget marriage. He was also the town’s most well-known playboy, spending daddy’s money nearly as fast as it came in.
His hair was slicked back and he was wearing an expensive blue suit that his father had picked out for him. He had begged his father to not make him attend the party that night but to no avail. It was a charity event that Sean’s father’s company was hosting, the party was supposed to be the event of the year.
Sean begrudgingly attended the party, and glued himself to the bar. He was drinking a martini when he spotted a woman across the room. She was different than the other women who had been vying for his attention that evening. He grabbed a glass of champagne off the tray of a passing waiter and headed over.
He handed her the glass of champagne. “I haven’t seen you around before,” Sean flashed her his most charming smile. “Sean Malloy. Care to dance?”
