Current I'm back!

Bio

Been rping for a long time now. Mostly been on and off but I'd say I started...oh...what was it, about 12 years ago? First rp was a Pokemon rp that went belly up fairly quick and then I met a group of people in a Legend of Zelda RP that I stayed in for many years, making a lot of good friends (and one or two enemies).

Really I like series themed RPs the most but I have done a few originals too. Both are fun. It's really just what you do with your characters and how well you get along.

I've been wanting to come back for awhile now, and here I am. Getting back in the game yo.

I'd be down with that idea as well! I'd have to move him not be in such an isolated area though.
Baker made his rounds for the rest of the day, checking on the rest of the townsfolk and running off the various ilk that decided to rear its head. It seemed like Briar's gang had mostly withdrawn for the day. He wasn't sure that was a blessing, however, it could just mean that they were getting ready to hit the town in full force at a later date. If that happened, there would be nothing he could do.

Like it or not, Baker was just one man. He had to get some sort of help in dealing with this problem. "Phil" as Baker had decided to call him seemed cable. At the very least he was handy with a gun. He was getting sick of the "boy" comments though, it was not only annoying but also demeaning.

At the end of the day, Baker decided to take the man up on his offer, but he proceeded cautiously. He entered the Undertaker's and found the titular man there. With a simple nod to the back, Baker walked back to find Phil standing there with a few dead bodies.

"Anything of interest?" He asked. He found the scene odd personally, but he would reserve judgment for now.
I'm still here. I may have my character solo play for awhile until first boss fight or until a chance to connect with everyone arises.
Once the group had reached Horunka, Geist had decided to abruptly leave the party. He had a feeling that the man either hadn't really enjoyed the company of others or maybe he just didn't like this group in particular. Given his and Linc's spat back in the forest, either situation wouldn't surprise him.

Either way, once Geist had left, Dar scratched his head and gave a sigh before turning to Linc.

"Well here we are. I'm going to go ahead and turn in too. I hope everything goes well for you. Be safe." Dar said before he disbanded the party and went to the Inn.

He had enough cash left to get a room for the night, but tomorrow he would need to do some questing and other activities to try and get more money. He also needed to work on replacing his armor, the light stuff wasn't going to cut it.

When day broke, Dar ventured down into the lobby and looked around. It seemed like Geist had already left for the day, not that he was surprised. He had a feeling that any hope of forming a more permanent party wasn't going to include that man.

It was also at this moment that Dar realized how surreal this whole thing was. The NPCs that were running this Inn greeted him like a real person and had some sort of interface that allowed realistic responses to questions and game related info. You might think you were talking to a person at first, but after a few lines in it would become apparent that you were only speaking to a program.

"Huh, technology is amazing." Dar wondered aloud. A cleaning maid nearby cocked her head at the statement before Dar shook his hands and stumbled away. He would prefer to be around real people now.
Baker blinked and sighed at the man's response. Whoever he was, he seemed like the type to take himself a little bit too seriously. All the same, he wasn't going to get by just calling this man by no name. Phil. He would now refer to this man as Phil, at least until he was given a proper name.

As he left, the man had told him to meet him at the Undertakers. That had to be the second or third time he had heard this man mention the under taker in some way or form. Now it was starting to get silly. All the same, Baker's curiosity was getting the better of him in this situation. He decided to go ahead and make some rounds for the rest of the day and try to clear out more of Briar's men before he would go and meet with "Phil" later. He would also make sure he was plenty armed in case things were going to go south.
When you say reboot are we referring to this current rp which was a reboot of a previous rp? Sorry I've been quiet lately.
Dar grimaced as the creature came into view and attacked them, but at the same time was oddly relieved that they had been interrupted in their argument.

As Dar turned his attention to the fight, he realized he had a problem. His weapon was a two hander and he needed one hand to hold his torch. There was no way he could hold the sword effectively in one hand and fight, so in order to keep himself useful, the only thing he could do here was put away the torch and use his teammates' light.

Dar moved close to the region where Linc and Geist were fighting and cut through one of the monsters fighting them. With a few quick and poweful strikes, the beast was dead. It seemed as if they had come out of this fight relatively unscathed, but Dar didn't want to dally any further.

"So...better?" Dar asked the others as he requipped his torch.

Baker frowned at the response of the man. He seemed to be wrapped up in his own little world. Either that or he was just a cold blooded professional. Baker wasn't the most cultured man himself but he knew that when someone asked for your name it was courtesy to give it before you went into a series of questions.

When he asked about Briar's gang, Baker did stop to think for a moment. He didn't really know much about them other than the basics. They had been raiding isolated settlements for awhile and slowly making their way up to larger time crime. Their murder of the Sheriff had been the breaking point, it was to show Solomon that they weren't messing around anymore. The killing of those outlaws back in the saloon was probably going to have consequences, not that Baker minded too much. If it got Briar to come into town himself and face him, he was fine by that.

"The real law is dead, murdered by Briar." Baker said simply. He crossed his arms and gave the man a quick look over. He seemed like bounty hunter or drifter material. Not the type of person that formed connections with people for longer than convenience's sake.

"I'll ask again, who are you? Why are you here? Are you an outlaw taking your picking or someone else?" Baker said.
@GhostReaper
I'll make a post tomorrow guys, sorry.
Baker had been prepared to unload into the men if they had tried to make a scene but someone beat him to it. Baker glanced over at the man with the smoking gun and frowned. He didn't feel the need to thank this man nor did he really feel the need to correct him on the "boy" comment, but after it was said and done he sighed and checked the pockets of the dead men. There was nothing of use here, nothing that could give him any of the information he would have needed. The guy in the poncho had really put a dent in his plan at this point. What Baker did do was take the money from the dead outlaws' pockets and go to the bar counter, where he placed it all before the bartender.

"Sorry about that, they'll pay for the mess." He said before leaving the saloon and tailing after the man in the poncho.

He soon caught up to him in town and spoke clearly to him.

"Nice wet work, but I needed one alive. You mind telling me who you are?" Baker asked, in more of a tone of a demand rather than a question.
