Current Memes aside, pineapples on pizza is ok actually. Being shat on for liking things different from other people gets old after a while.

Hark, it seems I am in dire need of medical attention that is easily accessible by specialized containers we call medical bags.

Fornacis' Deck

The heavy thump of his boots upon the wooden deck, the fresh breeze coursing through his hair, the uneven footing as the ship yaws slightly in the wind. The wind seemed to chill his bones, the deck sometimes seemed to be nonexistent, falling far far below him, and the very ship seemed like it was about to throw him off.

But this, he welcomed these feelings, for the skies was where he belonged.

To be grounded was a far worse feeling than this. But for his luck to turn suddenly, to have the opportunity to make a name for himself again... His fortune had not run out yet.

Robert had once thought he'd make a name for himself on that military skyship long ago, but it was naught but a dream so long as he was doing but only the most menial of tasks, patrolling the skies with barely anything to do. After being discharged, the whaling boats were more exciting, the sheer thrill of the hunt, the danger that surrounded such a job that threw them head to head with a monstrous creature. And now, now he would have to see.

Would fame and fortune await, or will that take a bit more coaxing to do?

Vanessa F. Meriweather

"Throw... everything away, huh?" She did not react as the Angel walked off the roof.

That's right. What use was clinging to her humanity now? She had to focus on winning, regardless of the cost. Vanessa was already chosen, it would be unworthy to back down now.

Following the angel, she stepped off the top, feeling the rush of wind, and the sense of impending death, before she rapidly slowed down her descent, landing on the ground with barely any trouble.

"There..." she pointed towards the direction of the Strip. "I can feel it there. I'm going there."

All of this was so new to her, her abilities, this odd twilight world where magical hunters came after you, but so far her instincts had always lead her true. She felt drawn to the hospital, and there an angel was sent to her. There was something in the Strip, and she felt very drawn to it. Perhaps the invisible hand of God?
Vanessa F. Meriweather

A stiff breeze was blowing through her hair, as she stood on the very top of the hospital, the dazzling lights of the city reflected in her lifeless eyes. She had long lost care for any sort of modesty, the wind blowing her skirt dangerously around going unnoticed. What use was modesty with such a cursed body like hers.

"This..." Vanessa held up her hand, the circular serpent design on it an angry red against her skin. "This can help me.... right?"

She spoke to seemingly no one. A plea to the heavens answered. Whatever demon possessed her, it seemed God has given her guidance. Drawn to this place, her instincts pushing her here to the hospital. She was no murderer, not if she can help it, so she did not enter the hospital proper, but rather only into its darker basements and rooftops, where she claimed the entire hospital as her territory.

She had prayed to God for salvation, and in her need was given an angel of vengeance through a ring of fire and blood, heralded by mystic smoke and otherworldy pressure. His voice shook the very bones in her body, and his visage sent fear to even the deepest recesses of her mind. If even a sinner like her was given a chance at salvation, given a sword to wield to save themselves, then she would have no reason to hesitate anymore, does she?
