After the mission, Chrys threw himself into his training. He slowly fell away from the others as he worked on making himself strong enough to do his job. Paradigm Shift died that day on the plane. Chrys took up his father's Alias "Journeyman" and reached out to his Dad's friends. Most were proud of him, encouraging him to stay at the school as it was a good place for him to learn his abilities. He grewmore sure of himself and of his duties as an X-Man
His newfound powers soured, the Danger Room was no longer effective for training him so he often went on missions with minor X-Men, usually as damage control with his ability to put people and objects in stasis fields. In one such event, he proved himself by shifting an exploding bomb into his subspace. He was sick for a full week from the backlash of moving too much energy at once.
By now, six months had passed and Chrys was sitting on top of the mansion roof, working on his studies in astrophysics. He believed that the more he understood about the world, the stronger he'd become. It had already proven itself after he shifted the bomb, when he read up on the laws of Conservation of Mass and Energy. He realized that in his subspace, time is completely nonexistent, which is why, his own time is so dramatically slow. As such, he put too much too fast into this space, and tried to contain it, slowly burning him out. Through trial and error, he managed to find his threshold and was such, was working on pushing that limit. He found that any type of explosion could be shifted, but had to be released fairly quickly, so he focused on area shifts, pulling out the core of the explosion and placing it high into the air.
Hayden was overwhelmed. He was half sure that this was all a dream and he'd wake up on the Aurora, safe from all of this. but he knew that this was his reality now. He followed Yeva closely, doing his best to keep up. When the metal man ntroduced himself Hayden shook his hand out of habit, unsure of what to make of him, as in his mind he was exactly what his name was. An Enigma.
Hayden's ears twitched as he listened for the sounds of pursuit. It wasn't too hard with all of the noise the city gave off being muffled by the alleyways. "We need to move faster."
Hayden stayed close to Yeva. He wasn't looking at her, but at the door with his shield up when he touched his shoulder so he flinched and swallowed. "This is why I didn't join the fighters..." Putting his stuff away he pulled out a piece of charcoal and started writing runes on the ground. A shimmering veil appeared next to where they were, acting as a form of cover. It wouldn't stop the pirate, but it would definitely give him pause. As he finished, he noted the two new people and blinked.
"Gods... This day is just a hell of a ride..." Hayden looked at the guardian with interest. He'd never seen anything like it this close before, and he didn't trust it. But he knew Yeva could handle herself so he went back to keeping watch. Putting the charcoal stick back in his bag he picked up his sword and kept watch.
As you enter the tavern, you can see that it is a very calm place. drinks are carried by wenches and barmaids and a bard plays the lute in a corner. the man behind the bar is a tall and imposing figure, he looks over you for a moment and goes back to cleaning the mugs and pouring drinks. In one area a few knights are resting, eating a meal and getting some rest before continuing along King's Road.
You come here as part of your journey as a Traveler, seeking rest from the rain outside. Looking to your left a notification pops up on your Interface, showing you the name of the owner and establishment.

Taking place in Metrona city, the Capitol of Terra Nova. The "King" who owns the Core, rules over the city. He is a fair and just man unlike some of the city's other leaders, who envy him for his position of power. The Core is the literal power source of the city, and as they say, the one with all the power is King...
Until he and his family are attacked. Unbeknownst to the new rulers of the city, the Winstons, the king's Eldest Son is still alive, recovering in the darker Wards with the person who saved his life. The Youngest son of the King claimed to be responsible before he too was offed. But the leaders of the Tower, Archon Academy, and Steele Manufacturing suspect that he was merely a puppet and the Winstons were the real force behind it, as Devin Winston was very vocal about how it wasn't fair in his eyes that the King held so much power.
The Core Grimwald's (An implant manufacturer) The Tower (Military) Archon Academy (University next to the Tower) Neo Genesis(Hospital and Biometrics facility) Winstin's (Richest family) Steele Manufacturing (Weapons R&D)

Take a walk through Centennial Park, seeing all the cool and creative sculptures on display and enjoy the many fountains. Or walk down the beach at Cerulean Pier. The city is only as exciting as you make it. So come, visit the famed Central City."
You either lived here or you traveled here... When your life spun on its head. In the span of 24 hours a bomb went off, the city was put under quarantine and thousands of people died...
The one's responsible for this so called Evo Bomb, the Vectors, have assumed control over the city. They use the might of the Subjects, twisted amalgamations with insane abilities, who are cruel, vicious and absolutely insane. But not as nearly crazy as the Vectors themselves. All but the one who calls herself the Nomad.
"But worry not, mortal. For as long as there is hope, there is a way. The Evo Bomb set forth a change in all things... Advancing them beyond what one would possibly believe. You who have survived, have gained an amazing gift. The choice is now yours: Survive, or Thrive."
This is a story about change. About a city under development. Taking place in a modern era, it has elements of a post-apocalypse world. The bomb only took out a few buildings, but sent out a virus that changed the very DNA of those in the city, giving them powers. There are some, however who have no powers, called Shells. The are mostly unaffected but there are creatures about that were made by the Vectors that can be described as mythological horrors.
Now... Onto the powers...
The virus changes those with a strong will. And always, always, gives powers based on your personality. You won't find someone with Light based powers who is chaotic. They would be cold and calculative. To demonstrate I have The Nine Kings who represent this:
Lawful-High Morality: Orion. He is kind, but aloof, often found wandering about his area giving a helping hand to those who need it. He has Celestial Embodiment, which allows him to call down Angels and use Holy energy with the Touch of Heaven.
Lawful Neutral: Utopia. She is described as distant, calm and very tactful. She has Regeneration, which allows her to regain lost body parts and her minor power of Harbringer of Destiny gives her the ability to astral project and predict the future.
Lawful-No Morals: Haven. She is cold, overbearing and vain. She cares not for those whom are under her. She is more than enough to handle a threat with her Stasis and Void's Gift.
Chaotic-High Morality: Sol. A boisterous man with a vibrant smile who hosts the most parties. Even with the Threat of the Subjects he's got Solar Embodiment and the Curse of the Enflamed to keep him and his own from harm, most of which he causes himself.
Chaotic Neutral: The Mad Titan Mack. He is a true nihilist who gives zero fucks for most people. But for the ones he calls his own, he is a fearsome opponent with his Nihilistic Touch and Eyes of the Mad God. Besides this, he is hailed as a strong leader, and a brilliant strategist.
Chaotic-No Morals: Ah, Luna... What can be said of this Queen is that she is ever changing... Except for her desire to destroy. Twin sister of Sol, she has Lunar Embodiment and Enchantress... Beware of her web of sabatouers and spies.
Neutral-High Morality: Nomad. She is patient, kind and efficient. Easily in the top three Kings, she has Telekinesis and Telepathy. She never wanted what the Vectors did and renounced them, causing them to declare her an enemy. She loves life and refuses to take lives.
True Neutral: Only one can claim the crown of the High King. And he is Dragon. The man who sits on his throne and judges all the others. Balance is what he represents and it is expressed in his Emperor Dragon Embodiment. This fearsome man is one of a kind, and like all dragons, he's demanding, brash and does what he wants... And never holds back.
Nuetral-No Morals: Nexus, the swiftest man in the city. He's got the looks, the money, and the power to break people who don't do as he says. His Flashpoint and Slipstream mark him as a powerful enemy, or a useful ally.
Shells: These unlucky are quite numerous. For every person with powers there are roughly five Shells. However, it seems that Shells can Bloom, and gain very rare and very powerful abilities.... The Vectors are conducting research on these people.
Shells are seen as second class citizens due to their lack of powers. They have their own justice system: The Scales. These Shells are slightly stronger than the others and some have Bloomed. Most notably, they are not afraid of the Kings and Queens, doing their own thing. Most reside in Neutral District under Dragon's watchful gaze. He and their leader have an unwritten truce, as Dragon sees the abuse of the Shells as unacceptable.

The Empire
For the last several thousand years, a dark force has been encroaching on the kingdoms of men, leading to the Great Demon Wars. At the end of this devastating catastrophe, the Crilux Empire, founded by the Commander General Ferran Crilux and his wife and Bonded, the Lady Aurial rose to power, uniting the broken kingdoms on the continent of Jormun. Ferran lead his people fairly and this time became known as the Silver Era. Since then, the kingdoms have split due to politics into several city states until a powerful Inquisitor united them once again. The newly crowned Emperor, Titus Borellian ascended the throne leading to a new Golden age. Magic and technology spread throughout the kingdom, leading to a population boom that quickly led to the expansion and exploration of other lands, and new Kingdoms.
Unfortunately, not all was well as the Demon Lords who they fought were not fully destroyed and one Elder Demon rose to such a great power that the Gods found even they could not contend easily with. This new war led to the deaths of the mortal gods Ixon, Gremil and Wyn. Desmond, the King of the Gods used his Realm Spell to banish the Demon God Ragnorak after his sacking of Ixon's town. The land is still recovering from this even as it happened just 18 years ago.
Demons have always been a part of society, while some, like Ragnorak, Zyn the Conqueror and Terminus have caused problems in the past, not all are bad. They live just like the other races, raising families and working. It is mostly regarded that the ones who followed the Dark Demons are fanatics at best, and monsters at the worst. Demons have also stated that Humans can be just as bad. There once was a good aligned Demon God, but Ragnorak killed him.
Demons have a wide variety of scale colors, usually gaining theirs when they reach maturity, based on what magic they are proficient in. Not all demons have tails and horns, that is something only those with Elder Demon Blood have, losing them after three generations. Horn color varies with strength. Black horned demons are the rarest, only three are living, two of which are Ragnorak and Ryker, leader of the Underground which is a Demon Gang.
The most prolific race by far, Humans have a wide variety of skills and magical ability. They make up for their lack of skill focus in the fact that they are able to combine many ideas of the races to make them better. The human gods dominate the Pantheon, with Desmond at it's forefront. Humans are also the one of two beings capable of Life magic, the other being the Seraphim.
These beings are well in tune with nature. They are relatively secretive and prefer their villages to the city. Half Elves are commonly found in the city. Eleves tend to be rangers, scouts or druids. Lately, with Ragorak's attack, they've integrated more into the city, fearing the corrupted Lost that roam as the Dark Forests encroach on their homes.
Elves hold on to three mysterious artifacts: The Eye of the Woods: A mirror-like pool in an enchanted glade, protected by magic left by the Old Alves. The Starfall Bow, which calls a star to strike the place the arrow hits. And the Forest's Wrath, a staff that calls upon the power of the forest.
Dwarves may not have the best tech all the time, but no one can build like they can. Having hollowed out mountains for their homes, the relative strife of the Demon Wars left these being safer than the others as they closed off their mountains after calling their kinsmen home. Dwarves are the best smiths and merchants, and have arguably the strongest military force around. They also hold the secret of forging with Mithril and Adamantite with their Master Smiths being the only ones who hold the secret.
Dwarves are gifted with earth magic, creating mighty golems and they hold the mighty artifact Sunder, a Warhammer capable of leveling battlefields. They are also rumored to hold many other artifacts, but none but the Anvil Watch, their council, knows what they truly hold.
These creatures used to be one of the non demon races, elf/dwarf/human, but were exposed to Dark Demon blood or were corrupted in the Heart of the Domain set by Ragnorak. The Lost have lost themselves to demonic hunger, seeking to destroy anything living.
There are also some, who are the product of human/demon relationships. Usually, with good care and a stern hand they are safe, but there is the chance that the demonic side will take over and cause them to become feral Lost. This however, is quite rare nowadays, because of the war.
Greenridge city is a major port town. It is also the home of the Demon Gang, Underground, led by black/red demon Ryker Bloodscale. While they aren't evil, they do cause quite a lot of chaos in the mixed city. Other places of interest is the Harbor Mall, the Beach, The Grand Park and Greenridge Pier.
As you put down the menu, bootsteps sound as a man in a dark grey cloak walks into the tavern. Rosie waves to the man and the bartender gives a curt nod. The man is rather tall, but is quickly dwarfed when another man enters the room. He wears mithril armor and his cloak holds a General's badge. The pair stop by the bartender and then head to the door near the stairs going up. Rosie comes over to you.
"Did you see anything you like, hun?" She smiles, tilting her head slightly. "Or if you wanted Master Grizz, the short one who arrived is him. He keeps an open door policy so just walk right in."
Hayden watched as Yeah nicked the Shard, holding his breath. He watched the pirate not notice the theft and start dealing with the metal man. Oh gods... This isn't good... If he finds that we nabbed it... What did you get yourself into Hayden... Seeing that another had joined into the fray, a lion man, he shook his head. Hopefully nothing would get thrown his way....
He was too busy in his thoughts to notice Yeva decide to get going but once he looked at the empty chair and noticed she was on the move, Hayden collected his things, clicking the inset in his sword to blunt it since he didn't want the Pirate Captain to use it against him. He followed after Yeva, trying not to attract attention, using the chaos of the pub to get outside unnoticed. "Gods help us..." He looked toward Yeva. "So... That was exciting...." His tail was flicking nervously behind him, betraying his calmish demeanor.
