Current My Italian friend just asked me if it's true that all Americans are fat. I'm offended but I can't stop laughing.

I always respond to OOC tags within 10 minutes, but I respond to PMs within 10 days. I don't know why- I suppose it's just because PMs are so easy to brush aside and forget about

I don't have any finals, but everyone else having finals is slowing down my RPs. Second-hand busyness.

If a tree falls in the woods and Fox news isn't around to see it, is it still Obama's fault?

I know how to deal with these guys

Only if the X'Cor realized that weakness.

I'll give you a secret: most forms of Xim (though not all) have some "fatal flaw", so that they aren't OP. But it's up to you to find it. Most the time, I'm not going to tell you like this

@Hael Ah, I see, although you did give hints of that in previous posts :p (with the whole modifications to the extreme thing)

Something tells me though the Federation never figured out that weakness, and normally went with "kill it with fire" or "throw everything at it" :P

So, basically, they sat there wasting ammunition and getting slaughtered like lame sheep when all they needed was a bright light and some techno strobes.

Ah, the Xim: are they the strongest race, or the most ridiculous? Only time will tell.

@Hael Now I feel like i should apologize but i also feel that I need to defend my reasoning in not asking you. xD

So, sorry, but in my defense everything pointed towards not asking you and letting you tell me to change it if you didn't like it.

edit: also, i didn't increase it, it's always been 10%

Ahhh, it's fine. Like I said, I understand why it would be higher, so no hard feelings.

Imperialists get bored of killing things eventually.

You clearly haven't met the X'Cor.

@Hael What if they wore technology that'd assist their excessive size?

I'm also very thrilled for that pm ;)

In that case, it's fine. Tech fixes most everything

I'll PM you in a bit. I'm currently tied down with other RPs, this insane OOC, and eating dinner xD

Quantified Kazzlehorf numbers.

Kazzlehorf has a fuck ton of drones that seems impressive on paper until you really how shit the engineering is and how basic choke pointing will lead to the biggest problem being running out of ammunition more that taking too many casualties much greater everything Kazzlehorf has is better than your military, where than everyone collectively just rolls over and dies from their own personal impotence.

Still, I feel the need that you give some type of estimate of how many drones you got.

It's fine if you have like 200 million drones, since they are all so weak. I just need to know.

M.O.N.A.R.C.H. is a self-aware AI that has been ordered to mine tabarium for his creators. And M.O.N.A.R.C.H. is indeed able to mine on a galactic scale while defending itself from salty assholes like The X'Cor Empire and operate like an empire at the same time.

I can assure you that an invasion from The Starfire Dominion is a lot worse that is sounds. You'll see what I mean when someone forces M.O.N.A.R.C.H.'s hand. Also, Andromeda isn't as bad as you think it is. Starfire Incorporated sees to it that all citizens of Andromeda are happy to minimize the risk of unprofitable rebellions. Remember that idyllic galaxy mentioned in the 2nd person intro? Take a ride through Slingshot 2 and you'll see Andromeda bares a striking resemblance to that galaxy, brought to you in part by Starfire Incorporated.

Ahhh, I see. It's too bad that the Milky Way is a mess of imperialism and freaks.

Maybe MONARCH will have pity on us intergalactic monsters, and help us not destroy eachother for five minutes

<Snipped quote by Hael>

How tall can a species be as a max? I'm asking mainly with the Akkad in mind.

I'm not really making a limit, but a humanoid shouldn't be taller than, say... 20 feet at most.

If it's not humanoid, then I won't impose a limit on you. Just try and be sure that it has enough/big-enough legs (or whatever it stands on) to support it's weight. That's why Crushers have four massive legs, because they are so big that they need a lot of support.

So make your Akkad as big as you want, but if they are over 20 feet, you should probably not let them be humanoids. If they are under 20 feet then humanoid form is acceptable, though I imagine that they might be kind of off-balance all the time

<Snipped quote by Hael>

Okay, I will try and write something up.
Lets hope I can do it within the next 5 hours.

Even if you can't, you'll be allowed in the RP anyway, since you expressed interest earlier.
I really wanted to join this, I'm just not sure where to start anymore.
Still interested, just confused.

Just start by filling out the NS for us. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. You're not too far behind- we haven't even started the IC yet. You just need to complete the Nation Sheet and Explorer Sheet.

@Sigma
Yes, he was here earlier, but hasn't really been keeping up since then.
@Hael By the way. How tall are Xim on average anyway? Since you mentioned they were Giants.

<Snipped quote by Sigma>

*Is now interested*

On average?

That's a more complex question than you realize.

You see, the Xim come in over 200 different "breeds", each of which has been genetically modified in a different way to suit a different purpose. On top of that, Xim are allowed to undergo cosmetic changes to make them taller, skinnier, shorter, fatter, uglier, prettier, scarier, bluer, greener, and so on. No two Xim look exactly alike, and so there is no "average" Xim.

But, when invading humanoids, the Xim tend to send "Crushers", a breed of Xim that is over sixteen feet tall, possesses six spidery legs, and is able to lift hundreds of pounds with one hand (of which, it has four). It is highly resistant to energy and can be shot dozens of times and just keep moving. It also literally has eyes on the back of its head.

This is balanced out by the fact that Crushers are made of DNA from a dozen different species, which has massive side-effects. For one, they can't live past twelve. For two, they have muscle spasms and seizures constantly. So they normally wouldn't even make it to twelve, but instead die of a seizure or something at 8.

It is possible to trigger these spasms, seizures, and the such by administering an electric pulse to their skulls. But the Xim would never tell the Federation that, so it is up to human ingenuity to see if they can figure out the one major weakness of these monsters. If humans realized that weakness, they could probably incapacitate the Crushers with nothing but some mild electric charges. If not, the Crushers could wipe out human colonies like they were nothing. It all depends on rather the Federation realizes the weakness.
@Hael Thank you :)

And woah, calm down there, it's kinda silly to get mad over that, don't take it so personal. just ask him polity to change that bit of history and we're good :)

NO. HAEL ANGRY. HAEL SMASH.

But seriously, I've found that if you don't act pissed off sometimes, people will just keep arguing and thinking of excuses. I understand that he just made a mistake- it happens to everyone sometimes- but I also want him/her to understand that I'm simply not going to bend on this.
@Hael

I see that post in the character section.

Really? Wow! So do I! It's almost like we, I don't know, see the same webpage or something!

*sigh* Sorry about that, I'm still salty over the thing with Brink.

It was an accidental post. Just pretend it isn't there xD
@Hael

Yes, the slavery is a cultural thing that the X'Cor follow. However, they can naturally agressively as a tiger shark to a butterfly, most fall closer to the agressive side as it is simply their nature. Though this all depends on the individual as Oin is rather docile compared to the others.

THEN THERE IS HOPE!

*sends hoards of Namilee peace-missionaries to X'Cor space*
<Snipped quote by Hael>

*Pats @Hael*

There, there.

xD Well, would you be happy if he just straight-up took control of your nation without any permission?
@TheSovereignGrave

Just read over your sheet's updates in full. I approve everything you wrote, though I wanted to ask: how large are these artificial planets exactly? As in, how many people is each one capable of housing comfortably and how many are there?

See, in most Solar Systems, the planets are far enough away that they do not effect eachother's orbit around the star significantly enough to cause disruption regularly. But, to house 200,000,000 people, it seems that the man-made worlds would need to be either HUGE (as in, larger than actual planets), or there must be MANY of them, in which case they may be so crammed in together that they are having a gravitational pull on one another- that might lead to crashing, spinning out of the solar system, and so on.

I can see three explanations for how the Ch'ak'ii have not yet crashed into eachother.

1. I'm totally overestimating the size and number of these structures.

2. The Ch'ak'ii have only made a few of these, and those few are large enough to house 50 or 100 billion each (or more).

3. The Ch'ak'ii have managed to perfectly balance the gravity of these various structures so that they don't kill eachother.

@Sigma

I approve of your Xim/Federation history, and would like to add that your response to Xim ground invasions was highly accurate. Xim soldiers are giants who can get shot more than 30 times before they finally collapse from blood-loss

Of course, this is balanced out by their weak-as-fuck ships, which I suppose is why it took them 3 decades to actually get far enough into human territory to launch a real invasion.

@Lauder

I approve of everything you've done with the X'Cor, though I must ask: how naturally aggressive is the species? I inquire because I'm curious as to rather this slavery fetish of theirs is a cultural or biological response. Because if it's cultural, well, culture can change: humanity once had slaves and now most of us wouldn't even consider enslaving another person. But if it's their biology to force their will on others, then there may be no real solution for their behavior, short of completely redesigning the X'Cor genome.

I'm guessing it's mainly cultural, since they were not nearly as bad before the "Uplifting War", but I'd like to be sure.

@rush99999

So, is MONARCH actually just an automated miner? And this mining program is capable of actually working on a national level and defending itself and operating like a country all its own?

Holy shit. If this is what their mining looks like, I'd hate to see what a real military invasion would be. Remind me never to visit Andromeda.

Military size:
A large standing drone army. Kazzlehorf tends to play with his drones when he's decided to be a drone engineer which happens about 4.6% of the time. The actual drone army is pretty huge and meant mainly as a means of keeping the wild animals from attacking him (which he sometimes sees as Imperialists and will refer to them as such no matter what their reason for invading is).

I need you to actually list how large the army is, in numbers. As everyone else has done.

@darkandstar

You should have actually asked my permission before increasing your army size to 10%, but since you are a militant nation, I'll allow it. Just... ask next time.

@ClocktowerEchos

So, like the Namilee, do you intend on just floating around and space and running into nations?

Because the Xim would totally allow you safe passage for a few DNA samples

(Approved thus far, by the way)

@Brink_

he Coalition, however, continued to exist as an autonomous entity in the years succeeding the war's end, and eventually entered into an alliance with its former enemy during the second return of the Exiles, identifying as the Xim Initiative, who had left Republic territory following the onset of the Alleghian Civil War.

Okay, so I'm pretty pissed and seriously considering kicking you out of the RP for this.

I did not agree to this. You asked, but I never said yes- I was busy at the time and couldn't get to you yet. Silence is not the same thing as consent. If anything, you should have assumed that my ignoring your post was a sign that this was not something I was interested in at all.

The Xim are not the "Exiles": they have a history all their own that I've been working on, and they sure as hell never attacked the Republic, unless the Republic attempted to defend the Federation.

It's also major Godmodding.

Fix this.
