Well the Teifling maybe, but in all seriousness nope. My question to you would be why would there be anything scary in the student hallway? It's a school full of omnipotent overpowered wizards that manipulate reality and teach children to young adults how to harness these gifts why would there be monsters in the student hallway lol Now the forbidden section there may be some scary stuff. But that's a story for another day. Though you did just give me an idea for a new fun and weird character.

Kyvir isn't that scary, just wait and see how politely the big demon man can eat raw meat and insects, then tell me he's scary.

Alexander Breckenridge

Alex stepped out of the Train, his eyes glancing in a manner that could nearly be described as erratic. He was taking in as much as he could, as quickly as he could when he noticed the rain above him, although rather far above him. It seemed like a considerate mage had decided to keep the rain away from the students, a kind gesture. Walking forward, Alex took care not to bump into anyone as he, and many others, trekked the long path from the train station to the Institute's campus. As he walked, Alexander's mind wandered, reminiscing on the multitude of stories he had heard from his Grandparents and Parents both about the School and the 'adventures' they had there. However, one story they all told repeatedly was the first time they saw Mordhaben's entrance, an Iron gate of indescribable beauty.

As the flock of Students walked further from the Train station, the Academy began to appear in sight, as well as the 'indescribable' gate, which from a distance, looked fairly plain, albeit large. However, as Alex continued to walk towards it, he began to see intricate, beautiful floral designs carved meticulously into the structures Iron. Alex felt a strong surge of familiarity, and wished his Mother was with him so he had someone he could excitedly whisper with. Alas, she was not, and so Alex simply observed the gate's beauty silently, only being more and more impressed with each step he took closer to it. Eventually, he was at the gate's entrance, reading the gate's elegantly carved inscription "For the Sake of Progress."

Alex watched, with a smile hidden inside his chest as the Gate opened itself for the Students, and walked in, immediately seeing the multitude of Flowers and walking to them. This time, he couldn't contain his joy and a gentle smile spread across his face as he split from the crowd a bit, taking a few moments to observe the Flowers, smelling them occasionally. After making his way through some of the Flowers closer to the Students, Alex decided to wait until after the Opening Ceremony to continue his quest to smell every type of Flower in the courtyard. Turning around, he walked back to the crowd of students he had momentarily strayed from.
Kyvir Lokerakir

Some time had passed since the Tiefling's reading lesson had ended. They had worked through about five chapters of the book, until he had decided that it was enough for the day. After parting ways with the Human, Kyvir made his way to the dorms, finding his room relatively quickly. Upon opening it, he found it to be a rather small location, dwarfed especially by the size of his bed. His Bed was pressed against the far left wall, and occupied nearly half of his room's total space. Underneath his bed were a set of built in drawers, which already contained his limited amount of clothing. To the right of his bed was a large desk that seemed to barely fit between the wall and his bed, and with it was a sturdy wooden chair. On top of the desk sat a Lamp, along with a Journal and an ink-quill.

Stepping into his room, Kyvir was forced to lower his head and torso to fit through the doorway, and then closed his door behind him. Taking in his room for a moment, his face revealed a smile, something that only occurred behind closed doors. Sitting down in his new chair, Kyvir opened the Journal before him to find it completely empty. With the sound of shredding paper, Kyvir pulled a single page out from the Journal, and grasped the pen uncertainly in his right hand. Reciting the phrase he intended to write, he visualized the characters before scrawling them on to the paper before him, writing "I will not disappoint you, Lady Mornelis." With a smile, he folded the paper into a small square and placed it in a pocket on his belt.

Just as he had put the note away, he heard his the door to his room open, accompanied by the gentle caw of a bird. Turning himself in his Chair, he saw the small bird hop it's way to Kyvir's feet. Gently, Kyvir bent over and lifted the small animal up, only to realize that it wasn't really a bird at all, but rather enchanted parchment. However, it didn't seem to matter if the paper was truly a bird or not, as Kyvir gently petted it with his index finger, smiling as the 'bird' cooed softly. After a few moments, Kyvir set the bird on his shoulder, only to regret so a moment later as the Bird's loud CAW made his ear ring. Looking at the bird in betrayal, Kyvir's eyes widened as the bird spoke, informing him of the evening's feast, then exploded into a few dozen shreds of paper. Shaking his head gently, Kyvir snapped his fingers together and the shreds of paper lit themselves into brilliant flames for a moment, before disappearing entirely. With a gentle sigh, he regained his stoney composure and stood, leaving his door to seek out his Mistress at the feast.

Kyvir had arrived at the dining Hall quickly, having already determined the fastest route from it to the dorms. Once there, he began to search for his Mistress and soon found her holding a book, standing in front of a young, dark-haired man. He quickly made his way over to the two of them, gracefully moving through the crowd without bumping into anyone, despite his goliathen stature. After reaching them, he bowed slightly, greeting his Mistress in his rumbling voice.
"Good Evening, Lady Mornelis."
Facing the man before Isilfarrel, his harsh eyes moved from the man's head to his feet swiftly, before determining that he was not currently a threat to his ward.
"Good evening Sir, I am Kyvir." He stated, introducing himself as his left hand rested on the pommel of his sword.

Would it be too late to thrown in a CS? This seems like something right up my alley.

EDIT: So yeah, I'll be getting Alex to the cafeteria ASAP. She might want to meet her future ass-whooper >.>

Good luck with that man, he'd have to get through Kyvir first.

And one more post with Isil.

So! Anyone want to have dinner with the elf and possibly her slave 'bodyguard'?

Possibly? I am hurt deeply
@ReusableSword
Oh hey dude!! How's it going?
Kyvir Lokerakir & Isabel Pelrine

After his Mistress and he had parted ways, Kyvir had begun a patrol of the Facilities' grounds, beginning in the courtyard and working his way through the main areas of the campus. He walked with purpose as he made note of each entrance, exit, and everything in between as he memorized the basic features of the school. While he had already developed a fair sense of his surroundings, he was aware that efficiency in his performance required a detailed understanding of the building's structure. Otherwise, he and his Mistress could easily be overwhelmed in a tactical sense.

Before long, he had managed to create a basic blueprint of the School's main locations, which included the Dorms, Cafeteria, Library, and Courtyard. In addition, he had begun to map out different routes to evacuate the school if needed. However, he also had a task ordered by his Mistress that was a more pressing matter, and as such, he made his way to the Library, and began to search the nearly empty building for an individual he was capable of speaking to, and eventually found a young woman, small in stature and brown in hair.

Isabel was lost in her thoughts while reading the "Species Autopsy." Although the book did not covered all species' autopsies, it had mentioned some very interesting concepts of using magic as a tool to manipulate the specimens' physical attributes by mentioning that "alteration can be achieved through long term exposure to magic". However, the book had failed to prove the existence of the Cyclone structure, as well as how it connects to the specimen secrets. But, it was a good resource for Isabel's upcoming experiment as , so she decide to take note in her notebook. As she began to write, the sound of foot steps echoing in the hall abruptly ended her thought, It took her a little bit of time to determine the location of the sound. Looking up from the pages, Isabel saw a Tiefling looking directly at her. She realized that Tiefling was the same person that talked with the High Elf. The memories of the past did not stir up any emotion in Isabel as she pulled a chair next to her and signaled him to come closer, saying in her usual emotionless voice.
"Hello, do you need any help?"

Kyvir nodded at the human's question, taking the seat she had pulled up for him. With his left hand, he extended his arm and placed his index finger on the book before her, and with a deep voice, he spoke simply.
"Teach me."
Kyvir was far from comfortable in the current situation, but he didn't allow it to phase him in carrying out his Mistress's orders. He had been instructed to learn how to read, and there was nothing but his own death that would stop him from completing a task given to him.
"I can not read."
He stated, offering up the only explanation he planned to reveal any time soon to the woman he sat next to.

"Very well." Isabel said looking down to her note continuing to write and stopping at the end of her page, not bother by the eyes of the Tiefling. Turning the pages, Isabel started to state her requirements in her usual tone, not to loud, but enough for the Tiefling to heard it clearly.
"First, I will not accept failures. Especially failures that had been committed twice."
Her pencil started to move, sketching the rough draft for the scene that she is currently in.
"Second, I will not tolerate laziness."
The sketching speed started to accelerate as she sketched out the library, the clear windows, the empty hall, and the rows and rows of bookcase.
"Third, I will not wait. So you should inform me if we are going to study on that day."
The sound of the tip of the pencil scratching the paper is now clearer, breaking the peaceful atmosphere in the library as she sketched the outside environment
"Fourth, I am not your slave, nor your girlfriends and anything like that. We are only going to be a teacher and student, And I prefer to keep it that way."
Isabel hands started to move slower as she started to fill in minor details.
"And five, if you failed to do all of this, then I am sorry. But please find others that are more tolerant than me."
As Isabel finished her sentence, she finished sketching the back of her and the Tiefling in the middle of the library, The picture was overall sad and lacked emotion. Letting out a sigh, Isabel closed her notebook before looking at the Tieflings, who had been looking at her the whole time. The emotionless voice came back from the little human's mouth, asking the red being who was observing it.
"So now, are there any question you have for me?"

The Tiefling shook his head, indicating that he well understand the premise of her requests. However, he was also aware that their "sessions" would be limited, as he knew he could learn these things quite quickly. His near-perfect memory allowed him to memorize what she said, and compare it with the symbols and words in the book. All she would have to do is read the book out loud, and he would follow along.

"Now, read."

He stated quietly, moving the book to a position they could both see.

if your character can read that is lol
