And back I am. Exhausted, certainly, and may need a while for that to wear off, but I'm once more here to read and even write!

There's a lot of backlog here on my end. I'm trying my best to lessen it, but replies might be less frequent for a time. A welcome change from the nothing doing I went through though! Thanks partners!

Bio

I suppose it is about time for me to copypaste fill in some information about myself over here just as well. Only took me a few years to getting around to do it.

I am a married individual in my twenties from the country some people dare claim does not exist. The Finland conspiracy is an old joke, you can stop with it now. Not a native speaker of the English language by any means, though I did begin studying it exceptionally early for our country's standards. I suppose it was some sort of a test case. With that out of the way though, what more should I be saying here...
  • I like being nice to people. If one needs to ask why, well that alone is reason enough.
  • I play and Dungeon Master Dungeons and Dragons, both offline and in the past also over here.
  • I enjoy OOC chatter, be it planning the RP or a more casual exchange (not that RP'ing is that serious). I can make do without, but don't be afraid to talk to me.
  • Whatever the case, I'm here to have fun and hone my writing abilities!
I do think that should about cover it, yes.

Thanks for stopping by I suppose! I do also have a Discord account, but I prefer to start anything RP related on the site. At least with people I don't know from the past, that is! But hey, now if you are a longer time contact of mine and happened to read this, now you know and can ask!

Not an issue, it has hardly been a week from my last post either way. Trying to establish the cycle between my posts from now on, the first one got to be... a bit long.
Krets gave Orchid a wrathful glare, though his mood seemed to improve considerably when his question would actually receive an answer from Torus. "A peculiar case, weren't they? You were there for his fight against Cyanwrath, weren't you? I heard that was quite a show by our good commander. Makes one wonder how they were out and about again so soon", he shared almost jovially as two tankards were placed on the table before the people he was interrogating. He himself received one as the cultist serving them made it to the other side of the table in turn, though with the difference that his was pure water. Krets had picked his poison, and that was not booze.

He gave Orchid another sideways glance before returning to the clearly more co-operative Torus: "I would prefer you to keep it to the language I decided to converse in. It is considered rude to change in the middle of everything, at least where I come from. Now, if you would tell me, why? Your goals do not exactly seem to align with this... Parum. Why do you follow her? She seems like the type of gal who would abandon the cause if she found anything she deemed more profitable. You, on the other hand, preach the name of the Queen of Dragons."

Theories had been shared in the ring, the people in it decidedly more invested in the discussion they were having than the potential for dancing. While the question of 'why?' still remained most popular, some observations about other guests were still being made as an attempt to aid the deduction. That man bore a curious resemblance to the Heartless Bishop, didn't he? The gait was definitely very, very reminiscent of his. Light as a dancer, yet carrying a sense of importance nobody could deny. If he was here, there probably would not be devils. And if that was copying, the man was doing a damn good job. So if Hell was out... but so were also the most prominent of London. Worst case scenario, this was a trap. But the players were always alert.

The group made space as a new person approached, a man Monica did not need to take a long look at to notice this was not exactly his element. Pudgy, though said quality had no emphasis on his actual status in the society. It did hint at the man being more well-off though. Coupled with him being uncomfortable... the lady would almost place her money on university. But he could just as well be from the Medusa's head, if she was to believe in the descriptions she had heard from Renee. And the positively crude behaviour and set of the question did tilt her opinion slightly more in that direction.

"Me? Oh, to single out a woman quite like that...", she took a half-step back and raised her free hand onto the bottom of her neck, pressing her splayed fingers against her dress in a faux display of shock, "With so many masks about, we cannot be quite sure and with so many prominent figures missing to boot, let it not be said that I would place any money on it, but in the case of it being so...", she went on for a while, inconclusively on the surface, babbling in the cant of the players. Anyone who was anything beyond a simple courier or one-off knife-in-the-dark in the game could discern an additional message from the words, perhaps it could be said that the true meaning of them: She believed it to be the Masters, for she had seen the badge of a special constable here at the door. A brave statement to be made nonetheless, some of the group visibly raising their eyebrows at such a remark. Did she have no finesse? But naturally, none of them dared say anything back to her, lest they'd expose themselves as someone who understood. And that could be trouble.

"How about you, fine gentleman in the golden mask? I suppose with me having shared my thoughts, it would only be fair for you to follow suit?" Monica tossed the ball back to the disguised professor and even took a curious step closer, inciting the ring to move after her. There were still gaps, but one would be hard pressed to try to fit in at this point if they were not already a part of the ring. The poet tilted her head slightly to the side and awaited a reply. In the meantime, the musicians present finally finished tuning their instruments and the first song began to play. Not one to dance to quite yet, but soon that time would come. For those that desired it.

I have heard a wild rumour that our last missing piece is working on a post as I speak. Bloody ninjas... I will head to bed now and if I do not see a post in the morning as I wake up I cannot help but rule our gambler out. If I do though... well, we'll finally get on with it. Do note that this has been an exception to the usual and I am not looking to be quite as lenient towards cases of no-post without any prior warning. But I have been provided an adequate reason in private, so it shall pass for now.
I'll be posting tomorrow. I do hope @Gordian Nought has found the time to post prior to that.
Come the end of Kyra's outburst, Krets chuckled genuinely. Alcohol, bah. Weakness. Besides, asking a single question about one matter was hardly obsession. She was hiding something and wanted the conversation to end as soon as possible. The investigator would humour her, not exactly intent on returning to speak with her. He had received all that he had been intending to get out of her. "No, that would be it. See, it wasn't so hard now, was it?" He shook his pipe and turned around himself, preparing to head off to heavens know where, though through the direction from which Parum happened to following the conversation. To her luck, the investigator would seem lost in thought as he passed her, smoking his pipe absent mindedly as he moved on.

To the disappointment of Kyra, however, Krets would later be seen entering the food tent, though for whole another reason. A few arrangements were made and, if willing, Orchid and 'Torag' would find themselves guided into a crude table where the investigator stared at them from the other side. "I've heard you took prisoner the so called 'champion' of Greenest. A commendable feat. If rumours are to be believed, one of you was a bear at the time to boot. Most extraordinary. I would like you to answer a few questions about the whole situation for me, though", he would set the ground for this discussion to be had.

Krets did little else than nod along, occasionally taking in the purple coloured haze his pipe produced and pushing it out from the opposite corner of his mouth after a few seconds. He could actually see a bit of himself in the demeanour of this pink haired woman. Sometimes looks could be deceiving. On a cursory look, this person would not be expected to behave this way. But he couldn't let that throw him off his game.

So, she had the skill of a healer when she needed to have it, but she preferred to not use it. The bow she wielded was her tool of choice, she claimed, as well as that she did not care of others in the group as long as they kept themselves out of trouble. Her behaviour during her time in the camp seemed to match just as well. "I see", Krets nodded one last time once Kyra finished her piece. "Then how about the prisoner your group brought into the camp? Surely you must be aware that the man served as the 'champion' to the people of Greenest just the night before? How did you manage to subdue him? I've heard he is quite the combatant." His tone had turned to something almost gossipy as he moved from one subject to another, but his unchanging pose and demanding gaze let the priestess know that he still expected an answer.

@Norschtalen
Feel free to. You have something to react to after all, @shylarah.

Two days or so, a bit under I believe, to the previously agreed upon deadline of a week. I hope you can find the time to post before that.
@Ms Ravenwinter
Aww, that's indeed a shame. Well, I wish you luck in your future endeavours!

As for the group size now, I think it is still fine. If we drop one more person I'll open the search again, but until then things are good as they are.
