Vasseurcourt is a absolute monarchy with a elective prince. The personalities of said princes vary from each to each along with the policies they introduce to the nation. Most are left leaning and could almost be described as socialist in standing. Right wing leaning princes rarely win the elections held in the nation. The elections are direct with every single vote heading for the candidate. The government itself is hell bent on keeping the nation self sustaining. Trade and agriculture are very important to the nation and the people who thus live inside of it. The nation is highly industrialized at its capitol located on the coast of the its lake it shares its borders with. As you go away from said capitol the nation becomes more and more rural. Very few leaders have come from this region and even fewer have been popular.
Description of Economy
Grain, corn, coal, and cattle make a large amount of this nations economy. Vasseurcourt trades primarily with its neighbors and rarely over seas as being a landlocked nation it would have to work out agreements with its neighbors to ship said goods through their nation and to Vasseurcourt. Mining is a major part of this nations economy. Shipping out standard coal to its neighbors keeps it striving and the plethora of coal mines in the nation keep unemployment rates low for all that can at least swing a pick. The region is oddly low in metal deposits which leads to things such as copper, iron, and such being shipped in quite often.
Description of Culture
Culturally the people of Vasseurcourt are frontier men. They live in a past colonial region which despite being industrialized in most regions still has its rugged natural places. The native tribes of the region have been forced out of the region or integrated to the Vasseurcourtian culture. These were not moves that settled with the public well but it was the ruling of the current sovereign so the people obeyed. They are true to their nation as not for nationalistic reason, though Vasseurcourtian nationalism is a large cultural standpoint, but for the "This is my home. This is where I raised my kin. This is the place I'll defend to my last breath." reason. Home life for the working class is slow and relaxed in between work hours and inside the industrialized zone. A plentiful amount of food, goods, and living conditions leads to a peaceful life for most. Those that live on the frontier have a much hardier life with the wildlife and uncultivated regions. Life in these southern regions is based off of survival and progress.
Description of Military
While there is no formal standardized military of the nation there is a militia ready to go to combat no matter the reason. Most commonly they are outfitted with what they bring with themselves. Most have the common sense to bring rifles if they can. Roughly 2/3s of every regiment, a group of one hundred men, will be outfitted with a bolt action rifle. The rest either are equipped with a handgun or are given non combat roles. A large amount of the militia is composed of Southern Frontiersmen so most of them understand how to use a weapon. Artillery batteries are supplied by the government and the troops who are destined to use these are given actual training independent from the rest of the militia. Currently the navy and airforce is nonexistent. Anti-air guns are set up in major cities and artillery are stationed at the great lake border to compensate for this.
History
Vasseurcourtians were a group that were never well liked in Edoniras as being this odd other. Not really Edonirasian nor Algaesiain with no true place to call their home. They were mainly a nomadic group with no central identity. That was until news of this paradise emerged. The New World they called it. Free and open with no national borders. This of course sounded amazing to the Vasseurcourtians and quickly a large group that had settled in eastern Edoniras had decided they could form a home there. The Vasseurcourtians there boarded a ship and set sail for this new paradise. Once they first landed on the shores of the land they felt too vulnerable to stay on the coastal region which lead to exploration of this land in name to find a suitable plot of land. Many Vasseurcourtian "nations" rose and fell from this. None of them much large or having any major impact as they were swallowed by native tribes or conquered by stronger colonial powers. After this period which lasted only a few months only one colony of Vasseurcourtians remained. This land soon began to industrialize. It was slow and tedious and took many years to complete. Along with the assistance of the neighboring lake for hydro power and a large amount of Vasseurcourtians flocking to this new land in large throes. Where the others had failed this one had achieved victory. Eventually the town governors of this now thriving colony gathered to meet and discuss the future of said land. Many ideas were discussed, even succumbing and allowing another nation to take the land, were discussed in this meeting. Most of these meetings lead to dead ends but finally on the eighth meeting the young governor Noël Ancel walked out with a bold claim of being the elected Prince of Vasseurcourt. This election was not open to the public as it was only discussed between those attending the meetings but Noël Ancel made sure that in his reign he would bring voting to the people for his successor. After Ancel passed away due to a horrible disease the first publicly elected ruler and the current ruler was elected. His name was Ludovic Morel.
Still heavily WIP but whatever. Have a quick peek:
GENERAL INFORMATION

TERRITORY
History:
INHABITANTS Race: Martians (dominant race)
Roughly cephaloid/octopus like creatures originated from Mars. Most of their large bear-sized body is made out of their brain tissue with only minimal space for their heart and digestive systems. Under Mars's gravity they were magnificent creatures stalking proudly over the lands with their eight tentacle-legs. Under the Earth's much higher gravity though they became sluggish beings requiring mechanical aid to move other than pitifully crawling on the ground. Since they lack proper digestive systems the Martians live by siphoning nutrients from other creatures through their blood. For this purpose they have a large beak surrounded by eight small tentacle-like stingers to pump out blood from their victims within minutes. The Martians are incapable of speech and instead their huge brains allow them to communicate between each other via telepathy. When they must communicate with other species the Martians use Thralls, terron slaves wired up with a device which interpret their telepathic waves. After listening to the message of its masters the thrall then speaks them out in a language so others can understand. It's also theorized that similar telepathic controls are employed to operate the Martians' complex machinery.
Terrons (collective name used to refer to any sentient races native to this planet)
This is a collective term calling any inhabitants of the planet Martians simply refer as Terra (Earth). Humans, elves, catpeople they are all the same in Martian eyes which view themselves as superior. On a more narrow term Terron is generally referring to their slaves. Terrons live in their own communities and have their own semblance of government but they effectively live to serve the Martians. To ensure this they are implanted with pain-givers, a device which responds to Martian telepathic signals with excruciating electric shocks to punish any Terron daring to disobey them. Removing these pain-givers is difficult and would likely kill the victim thus once a Terron born a slave he or she will die as a slave. Outwardly the Terrons have normal lives but they do so in constant fear of their cephaloid overlords.
ECONOMY Resources: Exporting: Importing: Currency: Agriculture and farming:
RELIGION SPECIFIC TO NATION IF ANY Name: None, albeit many Terron slaves view Martians as their gods

MILITARY Weaponry:
Large camera-like device holding a hi-purity viridgen reaction chamber of absolute non-conductivity. When activated this weapon releases a searing ray of often invisible light which can ignite flesh and wood and cause massive burns. Due to its complexity this weapon cannot be scaled down to be carried by infantry and it's mounted exclusively on Martian warmachines. Heat-rays are dreadful and can be quite devastating in battle albeit much less effective on well-protected non-flammable targets like castle walls, steam tanks and armored warships (albeit sustained attacks can bear results). The heat-ray's generator is highly volatile and it'd violently explode if suffers damage.
Thick almost powder-like toxic gas which the Martians deploy for mass-murder. Their composition is variable but their uniting factor is that the Black Smoke is dangerous to most Terrons while harmless to Martians (partially because they don't breathe air). Black smoke is either sprayed from pressurized tubes or spread from cannisters lobbed by bombers and artillery.
Using electricity for centuries even before invading this planet the Martians have knowledge of electromagnetic propulsion like no other. These electric cannons are relatively cheap albeit also weaker than most guns. As such they are mostly used as artillery to lob explosives or black smoke cannisters over long distance.
Numbers: Infantry: None, at times they deploy slaves armed with primitive weapons as cannon fodder Vehicles:
Large cylindrical body (10m diameter) with bulbous green-tinted canopy cockpit at the center walking on 3 tentacle-like legs for the total height of 30m. The original Fighting-Machines are imposing and powerful, built of an exotic lightweight metal only found on Mars. Their main body is resistant to any but the heaviest cannons albeit the legs and the canopy are susceptible to any sufficiently large caliber gun (light field artillery and upwards). Fighting-Machines also mount the original Heat-Rays with better materials and more precise construction allowing it to exert maximal power. Lastly, Fighting-Machines are immensely fast and can outrun even an express train at full power. Unfortunately the resources to make these machines are lost thus they posses onl 24 of these mighty vehicles which they use very sparringly.
Fruit of the Martians' century-long research to build tripods out of Terrestrial materials. The latest product is Fighting-Machine #123 which is roughly 12 meters tall and 4 meters wide made almost exclusively out of aluminium. This machine is fast, capable of outpacing horses on full gallop albeit vulnerable to artillery of any kind. Its main armament is of course a Heat-ray which is decently powerful albeit inferior to the ones mounted on the original Fighting-Machines.

Nice so far. Won't be able to throughly look through until I arrive home. I'll message you then.

Finally finished. Not sure about its quality but I am willing to edit if needed.
