Wasn't the whole point of betraying someone keeping it a secret until the time of switching sides? Vincent and Savayna both had a very specific version of the word. This was the second time he was told that he 'should have seen it coming'. He didn't understand what exactly was so humorous about the whole situation. Besides, she sucker punched him! The entire thing was unfair! He watched her laugh, a very nonchalant expression on his face. This woman was crazy, this much he had known from the first time they met. He let out a sigh, scratching his head. "Hmm, alright then, where to start...?" He asked slowly. "One: Yes, it was your fault. Two: If you wanted to betray me and only me, you could have killed me, maimed me,done everything possible to stop me--except you didn't, you fled like a coward and betrayed your country. Three: I don't see how changing sides would make me a pussy. If so it'd go double for you since you did it first. Four: Grow up." He ticked off every reason with a different finger.
Emiri stared back at Jaakuna, her heart pounding and matching his. He was so serious, so serious, how was she supposed to respond to that?! Well she was glad she could...satisfy him, anyway. She enjoyed it, too. A lot more than she expected it to. She decided to tease him, gently taking back her hands and crossing them. "Is that so?" She asked, bearing the most serious expression she could muster. "That's too bad...if I had been inadequate, I would have suggested...that we practice more." She said, smiling lightly at him as she twirled a lock of her hair between her fingers. "I was about to ask if...you wanted to shower together. You know, we'd save some water that way. But if I'm already good, then maybe not..." Her voice was airy, light, and had just a hint of playfulness in it.
Nadeline couldn't believe Savayna had actually hit him. On one hand, it showed that the General had very good reflexes, considering that she didn't even have a scratch on her (meaning she got the initiative). On the other hand, she wished that she had actually asked first before acting. She let out a sigh, though to her relief, Grant stirred. He let out a groan, a hand on his face as he slowly sat up. He blinked a few times, though he looked around, confused. He spotted Nadeline, noticing her rather worried expression. "Nadeline...?" He asked, clearly befuddled. Nadeline wondered if Savayna had hit him hard enough to cause a concussion. She helped him up gladly. "What...happened?"

"You mean you don't recall any of it?" She asked him.

He paused for a moment, thinking. "I was on my way to the kitchen, I believe. Afterwards, I bumped into someone...then...oh." He stopped as he spotted Savayna, though his expression turned into one of a grimace. "I remember now."

The blonde looked at the other woman, her face relatively neutral, though it did contort into one of anger. She had the intention to give Savayna a piece of her mind, though Grant gently grabbed her arm, shaking his head. "Excuse me." She muttered, walking back to the kitchen, though not without shooting the general a glare.

Grant let out a sigh, though he raised both hands before him. "Technically I should have been the one throwing punches, you almost got me executed." He joked, though his monotone voice made it somewhat difficult to recognize that. He did cough slightly, deciding to start over from the beginning. "Forgive me for bumping into you, though imagine my shock to see you of all people here. I hadn't the slightest clue you would be around."
Emiri shifted slightly, looking up at Jaakuna. Of course it she had said it was alright, she was the one that initiated it. She didn't like how he was somewhat laughing at her, though she figured it was probably because of her inexperience. She let out a sigh, sitting up, though she held the blanket to her chest. Not like she had a reason to cover up, but it was still embarrassing. As eager as he had been, she wondered if she had even done him justice. The entire thing was new to her, so she wasn't really sure. Of course, actually asking was somewhat humiliating, too. She did smile at him a little, though it faded as she let out another sigh. "It was fine...right...?" She asked him quietly, avoiding his eyes. "I mean...I was okay...? Or...was I good enough...?"
Cute? She looked cute? Emiri raised the blanket to her face, as if she was trying to cover it. Well, she was in a way, she didn't want him to see her blushing. Said blush seemed to deepen when he mentioned last night--now she remembered. How did she ever get the courage to actually go through with it? It was then that he made a comment of her being 'bendy'. "Wh-what in the world are you talking about?! I--That's--You--" She stuttered, clearly embarrassed. She pulled the blanket over her head, as if to shield herself from his view. He could be such a jerk sometimes, and it was too early to be dealing with this. She thought he would be happy that they...did things...gods just the thought made her face red. She half-thought it was just a dream, but seeing her lack of clothing at the moment diminished those thoughts. Not that it was bad or anything, just something...new. Though whoever said it hurt the first time was not exaggerating, but after a while it was pleasurable. No wonder people got addicted to it. Wait, what was she thinking?!
Nadeline let out a gasp as she saw Grant on the floor. She looked up at Savayna, who had her hand clenched into a fist, and immediately made the connection. She hit him! Why?! Oh, wait, Savayna hadn't been with them when they went to rescue Emiri. Nadeline immediately ran forward, putting herself between the blonde general and the currently unconscious prince. "S-Stop! He's on our side now!" She wailed dramatically. She couldn't believe she hit him! The woman was a force to be reckoned with, having knocked out Grant with one hit. She immediately began healing Grant's face. She hit him really hard, it seemed. Once her magic had done its job, she let out a sigh, though she did stand up and face Savayna. "What in the world were you thinking?!" She exclaimed.
"You should teach me how to cook sometime." Nadeline commented sleepily as she waltzed into the kitchen, obviously having woken up in a good mood. She figured she may have been the second to rise, as she had heard Wesley walking down the hall. Though while he was selflessly preparing breakfast, she was selfishly dressing and hacking a brush through her curls. She admitted she wasn't exactly giving them the care they deserved; she was used to her maid brushing her hair every morning and evening, and she just had so much that it was a workout. She hummed as she got herself a cup of coffee, hoping to wake herself up.

Grant let out a small yawn, cracking his neck as he walked. A good night's sleep had done him well, though what would really hit the spot was a nice, warm cup of coffee. As he exited his room, he took a look around. The ship's layout was one he had yet to get used to, though he did know that Nadeline's room was close. He decided he would see if she was awake, though the smell of food hit him first. He then got the idea of following the smell, surely it'd lead to the kitchen. He followed the scent, though took the chance to stretch his arms. He wondered who was cooking, though his thoughts were interrupted as he bumped into someone. "My apologies--" He began, though he found himself face to face with the Archadian General, Savayna. Well, at least this time she was dressed properly. Before he could even react, however, she hit him. Hard. That sucker punch got him good, and he fell back. And that was the last thing he remembered.

Nadeline perked up, hearing the commotion. She looked at Wesley curiously. "Hm? I wonder what that was?"
Emiri opened her eyes, seeing Jaakuna right in her face. Like, super close. She let out a small yelp of surprise, instantly backing up a bit, though after a moment she did calm down. She then realized he had once again woken up before she did. His habits were sticking to her like glue. What time was it? She let out a small groan, ruffling her now free hair, though she did sweep most of it off her face. She forgot she had (once again) slept in Jaakuna's room. Hm, what happened last night? She was still a bit groggy from just waking up. "How long have you been up? Why didn't you wake me?" She pouted, clearly displeased that he once again beat her to the punch.
Grant immediately shot Wesley a look, though he received a cough and was notified that he got the message. Nadeline seemed to miss this (as she had a tendency to miss a lot of things) and nodded at Wesley. "That's right." She hesitated slightly as Grant now shot her a look. She was treading on some dangerous territory right there. "Though...I wouldn't say I know her too well. Aunt Justine...I would ask Emi about her." She said quietly, going over to Grant and pouring herself a cup of tea. "I do know...that...that she is a very strict woman. I remember she would often scold us anytime we weren't paying attention, she used to be our tutor...though after that they separated our studies. That was when Aloa was brought it to be my tutor. I felt bad..."

Grant let out a sigh, knowing Wesley would probably be curious. "For your sake, I hope you never meet the woman. You think I'm bad? She's worse." He stated simply, though he meant every word of it. Nadeline nodded in agreement as she sipped her tea. "She wanted desperately to get into the nobility, and believe me when I say she stopped at nothing to get it. You have her to thank for Emiri and my previous engagement. Though I do remember that before I left Rozarria, she was trying to get Andre--Emiri's father--to become a Duke. I wonder if she succeeded."

Nadeline felt somewhat uncomfortable now. She cleared her throat somewhat, placing her now finished cup in the sink. "Why don't we call it a night? It's been a long day." She said, letting out a small yawn. "I'll show you to your room, Grant. Unless you'd like to, Wesley?"
That was all she wanted and needed to hear. She looked at him, almost admiring his features as if it were the first time she got to properly look at him. She studied his face carefully, concentrating on every inch of it. From his eyelashes to his nose, to his lips, though her eyes did pause there for a moment. She didn't even know what she was doing, she was just acting without thinking for the moment. Just for a moment, she wanted to forget everything else and focus only on him. No thinking about anything else, just him and her right now. She placed a finger on his lips, tracing them lightly. She smiled, taking her finger off and replacing them with her own lips, giving him a deep kiss. It was actually nice to be able to give him one, she knew she had been on the receiving end for a while now.
Nadeline let out a cheer as Wesley would agree to meet her mother. Now she was more excited than worried. That and Grant telling her that she had gotten better definitely lightened the mood. Grant couldn't help but chuckle at her cheering, though he was somewhat surprised by Wesley's question. He had assumed Nadeline would have told him all about Lorenzo and Karolina, though it seemed like his was her first time mentioning them. Understandable, given the circumstances. Nadeline stopped cheering for a moment to think, trying to remember what the doctor said. "From what I know, it's something genetic among the Rosenburg family line." She said slowly, looking to Grant for help.

"It weakens the immune system, making the person susceptible to fall ill much more commonly, though I know Lorenzo has mentioned that she is anemic as well, so the combination of the two makes things difficult for her." Grant told Wesley. "I know that was one of her main concerns when she became pregnant with Nadeline, she was afraid she was going to pass the illness onto her." He informed both of them this time. "Recently she has been regaining strength. Of course, there are periods of time when she's confined to bed rest, so it is something that comes and goes as it pleases."

Nadeline nodded, placing her hands on her cheeks. "Mother is one of the most beautiful women in Rozarria, and I do not exaggerate this! She gets pale when she is sick, but I think it makes her look even more feminine!" She gushed happily, letting out a dreamy sigh. "Most everyone says that it's difficult to believe that she is commonborn. Now that I think about it, her and Aunt Justine are both very beautiful." She then grinned, letting out a haughty laugh. "No wonder Emi and I came out so lovely~"

Grant raised both his eyebrows at that last statement, though he did agree somewhat.
Grant walked into the kitchen, having been exploring the Ifrit after being dismissed by Emiri. He had to admit, the entire ship was impressive. It was much larger than he had anticipated, so he had been lost for a while before eventually coming back and finding said kitchen. He decided to make himself some tea, though he did overhear a bit of the conversation. Wesley and himself were similar? He could probably see it. Though hearing Wesley not wanting to admit it made Grant feel just a little bad, even if he didn't show it. He really did need to change. As the tea finished, he poured himself a cup as Wesley complimented Nadeline. At this point, he couldn't quite let him get away with that, and decided to tease Nadeline.

"She is also impulsive, indecisive, and hot-headed. Gods know she needs to control that temper." Grant murmured into his tea, taking a sip as he turned to the pair..

She had been so happy to hear Wesley say that. Though of course, Uncle Grant had to go ruin it. Again. Nadeline's eye twitched, though she stomped right up to Grant, pointing a finger at him. "Did you forget that I'm right here?! Don't speak of me and pretend I won't hear it!"

"Temper, temper." He chided her lightly, clasping his hand over hers and bringing it down. "You could use some of your mother's patience."

Nadeline blinked, though she turned back to Wesley. "That reminds me, I'd like you to meet Mother as well. She is sweeter than sugar, I'm sure she'd love you!"

Grant couldn't help but smirk slightly. She was so easy to rile up, but as soon as the topic shifted to her mother she became all doe-eyed and lovable. "I think she'd like that." He admitted to Wesley. "The doctor says if she keeps going like she is, she'll be able to go outside and walk like she used to."
Emiri looked at Jaakuna for a moment, taking in his words. For one reason or another, she decided to shut her thoughts out for a moment. She let go of his hand and sat up. She swung her legs onto the bed, getting on all fours and crawling on top of him. She put both hands on either side of his head, staring down at him intently. "I told you before, didn't I? I want to stay by your side." She reminded him quietly, though with one hand, she pushed his bangs off his forehead lightly. "I don't care about marriages or engagements or promises, or--or any of that. I just want to be with you. This much I am sure of." She told him, her tone slightly more determined. Her hand touched his cheek lightly, and she found herself smiling. "I mean it." She told him gently. She lowered her head, gently giving him a light kiss, though she pulled back. "Stay by my side." She pleaded him.
Now what? Jaakuna felt terrible about all this, and now Emiri was feeling guilty. What a mess this was. She needed to stop overthinking, she didn't want him to have to suffer again because of her. Not again. She finally got the guts to look at him again, though her bangs obscured her vision partly. He looked so genuine right now, so serious. It was so unlike him, this entire thing was unlike him. That thought made her want to laugh a little, while it never came out, she did smile at him. She was happy now, just being with him. His hands were softer than she had imagined. She could feel some of the calluses from his sword, though it wasn't unpleasant. Holding hands with him like this, she remembered his dream. This was the future he wanted. She could put up with it for now. "I just need time." She found herself telling him quietly. "It's...it's a lot to process." The admission felt like a great weight had been lifted off of her chest.

"For some time now, the idea of being shackled to anyone is...it's terrifying. I don't know, maybe I don't know what marriage really is. But if it's for you...if it's to you...I..." Her voice trailed off, and she suddenly became very embarrassed. Did she just admit that she found herself actually wanting to marry him?
"Father and Grant aren't much alike, though." Nadeline told Wesley as she leaned against the table. "Grant is very serious. He's very much a gentleman, despite his flaws. He's actually a lot like you, now that I think about it." She paused, though she really did think so. "Father is the complete opposite of Grant, and Reia--Her Eminence, as well. He doesn't want to rule Rozarria, all he wants to do is take care of my mother and myself. He much prefers to go on walks, or mingle with the townspeople. He's very popular, so it was quite the shock when he announced that under no circumstances would he rule the land. He doesn't mind if I succeed him--it's why I'm second in line for the throne, right after Grant. " She told Wesley.
I have a skype, I'd be down with a group
A gleam appeared in Nadeline's eyes, and she walked right up to Wesley. The two were so close she could either quickly kiss him or give him one hell of a headbutt. She sported quite the mischievous grin, though there was the slighest hint of wickedness behind it. "Would you like to find out?" She asked, her tone extremely playful. "You could always accompany me, I could introduce you. You should be proud, though, I have never introduced any of my boyfriends to my father before." She jokingly warned him, though she did back away a step or two. "Father would be delighted to meet you. Probably."
Jaakuna's words should have made Emiri feel better. He felt the same way too, apparently. It didn't really change things, of course, and after a moment, she only let out a sigh. She flopped back onto the bed, staring at the ceiling. Not like they could undo it. What's done is done. She mildly considered running away, though she imagined Hamut would probably send the entire Archadian military after her. The silly thought made things a little lighter, but she just did not know what to say. He said everything that she wanted to hear, and for the moment, she didn't want to talk about it anymore. When he asked her what she thought he would say, she put her arm over her eyes and let out another sigh. "I didn't really know what to expect." She admitted.
