Meanie? How the hell was HE the meanie? Gods, it was like everything he did was wrong! How was he supposed to react to something like that, anyway? "I'm done." Grant announced, pushing his chair out and getting up. He proceeded to stomp off, clearly confused, somewhat upset and annoyed.

"Oh no." Nadeline scrambled out of her seat, hesitating. Oh no, Savayna, or Grant? Well, not like Savayna was going to escape through the bathroom window or whatever, right? She grabbed Grant's arm, planting her feet on the ground and trying to stop him. This wasn't how it was supposed to turn out like at all! "Please! Stop! Grant, come on!" She pleaded with him, doing everything she could to physically stop him from leaving. "You cannot just leave the situation like this! It's wrong! Reconsider!"

"Leave me alone! I've had enough of everyone!" He told her, clearly frustrated.

"I know, but--but you cannot just leave! I beg you, stay here, I'll...do something, or..."

Grant managed to wrench his arm free of Nadeline, and he turned to her. "I'm sure as entertaining as it might seem to you, Nadeline, I'm not amused. At all. This entire day I've been name called, hit, beaten, humiliated, everything I do ticks off one person or another, and now once again I'm screwing SOMETHING up because, in case you haven't noticed, I have no idea how to even respond to anything!" He yelled. "I'm not you! I don't go around screaming my feelings to the heavens and giggle at the first sign of romance, alright?! I don't even understand how I feel, how can I expect to respond so quickly to something that was literally just dropped on me?!"

"But..." She bit her lip as he stormed out. Damn it, she lost him. She looked at the bathroom and went to it, cautiously opening the door. "Savayna, dear, are you alright?" She asked nervously.
Jaakuna enjoyed it. That much made her happy. It was an all natural light show, what more could they possibly need? She wanted to watch the dragonflies for a while, but it seemed he had other ideas. At his suggestion of going in, she shook her head, though she recognized that smile of his. She tried to dissuade him. "No, I've had enough of water for one day." She admitted, trying to resist his tugging. "And I don't even have a change of clothes."
Nadeline looked like someone who was just told she had one a million gil. If she was next to Wesley she would have pinched him. Luckily for him, he was out of her reach. But she couldn't believe what she was hearing. She looked at Grant, who was nothing less than probably more shocked than both Nadeline and Wesley were. Where the hell did this come from? Suddenly, Grant felt all three of them looking at him, waiting for an answer. Oh dear gods what had he done to deserve this? He wasn't expecting this at all. Not even in his wildest imagination did he imagine it. Then again, it did explain a lot. The hitting, screaming, the breasts, the...whole day. For whatever weird reason he felt somehow strangely relieved, but now he had another issue at hand.

Grant reached for his water and took a sip.
As they walked back, Jaakuna suggested that sometime they visit his home. She wouldn't mind that. He was happy, so she was happy. She hooked her arm around his and laid her head on his shoulder. She wondered if there was anything he wanted to do. She got an idea as she watched him look at the sky. "Follow me!" She told him, and ended up running, pulling him behind her. They weaved through the streets ending up before a small, protected lake smack dab in the middle of the plaza. Within was a grand fountain, the water spilling out of it colored differently due to different magicite. "Watch." She told him, pointing to the plants around the lake. Within seconds, several dragonflies started fluttering around, their wings clear and colorless. As they flew above the water, their wings reflected off the magicite's color, making them look like multicolored fireflies.
Emiri was more than relieved to hear him say that. She couldn't help but giggle, though once he stopped kissing her after a moment, she took his hand again. "Why don't we head on back?" She suggested, leading him out of the house. "I think it's been an eventful evening as it is." She said, pocketing the dagger. Once they were all together, she would make sure she would inform the rest of the group on the events that had transpired. But for now, she wanted to enjoy the rest of the evening with Jaakuna. She was almost glad they were attacked, in a weird sort of way.
Seriously, this woman was driving him crazy. Obviously she had something she really wanted to say but was either just not wanting to say it or she enjoyed confusing the hell out of him. Grant narrowed his eyes at this point, just about having enough of this. What exactly did she want him to ask? What exactly did she think he wanted? Because obviously he just wanted to have dinner and make sure Nadeline behaved herself, but obviously Miss Glacie had an entirely different idea of doing so. What he really wanted to do was ask her what the fuck was going on, but for one reason or another, he put a lid on it. Nope, nope, he needed to be the bigger person. As always. Just like on the Ifrit.

"I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about." He told her straightly. "You've been acting strange the entire day, so unless it has to do with that, I have absolutely no idea. If you have something to say, why don't you just say it already?"

Nadeline raised both her eyebrows, though she looked at Wesley. Obviously they might just get his answer sooner then she thought.
As Jaakuna would take care of their would-be opponents, Emiri needed to get the damn weapon out of her. She tried just pulling, but it seemed to have gotten in deep. She let out a small groan of pain, but she grasped it firmly with one hand. She then bit on her finger as hard as she could. Mentally counting in her head, she pulled out the dagger. She managed not to scream or cry, but by the gods did it hurt. She writhed a bit, shuddering as the pain seared throughout her body, but after a moment, she was fine. She put her hand on her shoulder and managed to use her power to heal it. As her boyfriend asked if she was okay, she held the dagger in her hand, covered in her blood.

"I'm fine." She stated, examining the weapon that had gotten her. "Apparently, however, I was not the target." She stated, going over to her would be killer. She put her dagger back in her boot and held the other tightly. With one hand she slapped the guy several times until he startled awake. "Good morning, sunshine. Who sent you?" She asked him, her voice a low growl.

The man stared at her incredulously, though he realized she had his dagger in her hand. "I don't know what you're talking about! We were just here to rob the place!"

Emiri shook her head, though she pointed the dagger at him. "That's one strike. This house has been abandoned for years. Try again." She told him.

"It's--It's true, they say there's a valuable mirror here! A high ranking soldier lived here!"

"Hmm, nope. Strike two." She pressed the dagger's point into his neck. He gulped, breathing heavily. The once gentle violet eyes were now dangerously narrow, her expression devoid of all emotion. He knew she would kill him if she didn't like the next answer. Taking in a breath, he felt himself shaking. Emiri smirked lightly, pressing the dagger into him harder. "Come on darling, amuse me." She dared him, a vicious glint in her eye.

"I--I--I don't know! I swear! I just did what they told me to do! They said some girl would be here and to kill her! That's all!"

"What girl?"

"Some blonde girl, I think she's royalty or something, but I swear, that's all I know!"

Nadeline. "Are there any more of you? Are you attacking anywhere else tonight?"

"No! It was just me and him! That's it!"

Emiri took the dagger off his neck, slowly backing away. She then lifted the dagger, and stabbed it onto the floor next to him. "If I ever see you again, that dagger will be dug into your throat." She hissed. "Get out of here and take your friend, too."

The man scrambled to his feet, though he did heave his ally over his shoulder, and the two fled the scene. Emiri crossed her arms, thinking to herself. She didn't think (or rather, hoped) her father wouldn't know about this, but since when did Nadeline ever visit her old house? Still, they were all safe for tonight, if the enemy was going to mobilize again, it wouldn't be until tomorrow. She picked up the dagger from the floor where the guy left it. She let out a sigh, turning to Jaakuna. "Sorry you had to see that." She mumbled, blushing slightly. She had wished he would never have to see that side of her, ever.
Wesley had noticed it, too. Oh thank the gods, because Nadeline could not keep this to herself at all. She cheered inwardly, though she tried to be discreet about it. She lightly kicked Wesley under the table, though that was more to stop him from chuckling; it almost made her want to laugh, too. "She totally likes him." She informed Wesley rather smugly, though she had to bite her own tongue to prevent herself from erupting into giggles. Oh, this was much too good. "She's just in denial. Or maybe she doesn't know how to admit it."

Grant stared at Savayna as she apologized. Okay, now this was getting weird. From insisting on a rather demeaning nickname to suddenly getting all flustered and nervous, what in the world of Ivalice was going on? He also caught wind of both Nadeline and Wesley quietly snickering between one another. This whole 'pick on Grant thing' was not funny anymore. Still, it'd be rude to not at least acknowledge her apology. "It's fine." He responded, now looking at Savayna and giving her his full attention. She seemed to be struggling with something.
Did she just say he was hot? Grant was actually stunned to silence as opposed to usually just being silent. No, it had to be some kinda of mistake. She had literally been abusing him all day and now she was saying he was hot. What the fuck. What the actual fuck. Where all women this crazy? He knew Nadeline was. He wasn't sure if Emiri was, too, but by the gods help Jaakuna if she was, because holy shit was Grant confused as hell. He simply drank more water, choosing to remain silent. He didn't even know how to really respond to it anyway. Then again, she'd probably hit him if he stayed quiet.

"Thanks...?" He didn't even mean for it to come out as a question, but he was just so confused.

Salvation came in the form of the waiter, whose name Grant already forgot. Nadeline bit her lip, clearly enjoying all this, and was now actually glad the two decided to tag along. "Mhm, sounds good." She said in response to Wesley's question. Grant simply nodded, trying to decipher the situation.
The times they were truly happy. It made sense. Emiri nodded, walking up to Jaakuna and taking his hand. Courage, huh? Yes, he was right. She'd always hold these times dear in her heart, but they were in the past. The man standing in front of her was her future. Maybe this was all meant to be after all--her own suffering, her running away, everything led up to this moment. She'd have to thank her father, she never would have seen it without him. As she looked at Jaakuna, a sound caught her attention. She looked at the door, spotting a cloaked man "Jaakuna--" She started, but she was interrupted by a stinging pain. A dagger had been thrown and lodged itself onto her left shoulder. "Ah...!" She gripped Jaakuna with one hand, pushing him out of the way. She quickly reached down, withdrawing her own dagger from her boot, and managed to parry the one meant for Jaakuna, sending it to the ceiling.

"That's not...that isn't her! We've been had!" The man called out.
Oooo this looks interesting.

Name:
Kaleb Mitchel
Age:
17
Grade:
Junior
Personality:
Known as the guy that slept through class but managed to ace his tests. In terms of who he is, he's bold, daring and courageous.
Background:
Growing up with three older brothers means that Kaleb was pretty much run down since the moment he was born. While his brothers became a doctor, and engineer, and a graphic designer, he had no idea what to really do with his life. Still, he studied hard, partied harder, and gained quite the reputation for being willing to do almost anything. He's lit himself on fire, outrun rabid dogs, even ding dong ditched an army guy once--and got away with it.
Notes:
This kid is literally not afraid of anything and won't hesitate to try new things. A bit of a daredevil, mind you.
Appearance:
Emiri nodded, confirming Jaakuna's suspicions. She looked at herself in the mirror, frowning slightly. "This house was built by great-great grandfather, or so I have been told. This was where my mother's family lived for a very long time. The illness that Karolina has...it runs in my family and has claimed most of them. And so Karolina and my mother lived here, taking care of my grandmother until the illness claimed her, too. My mother worked in the army as a blacksmith while Karolina was a nurse. That was where she met my father. The two married and had me, and they lived here. One day, the Emperor was walking through the city--he was an amorous man, very kind and fair to all the people of his country. To see him on the streets was common, much like how those little girls approached Nadeline as if she was just another person. However, someone took advantage of this and tried to kill the Emperor. My father saved him that day, and that was how my mother offered me to his son. That was also how Karolina and Lorenzo first met.

"My father was promoted, but it meant he was home less and less. You already know how my mother was...and I hardly saw Papa anymore after that. One day, she told me we were going to live at the castle. I was still young, and I didn't want to leave. I begged her to let me stay, I didn't care if I was alone, this was the place I knew as home. I somehow managed to lock myself in this house and no matter what she tried, my mother could not get me out or get in. It had been about a week before Papa came but he couldn't coax me out, either. Finally, they had to resort to tricking me to get out: they told me to go to my mother;s jewelry box, and said I could have my grandmother's necklace. That necklace is a priceless thing that, of course, a child should not have. Once I opened the door, the two rushed in and got me. I was so mad. We packed our things and left to live at the castle after that.

"Every once in a while, when I couldn't handle Mama's lessons, I'd always run back here. But of course, it was locked, so I'd just wait outside for Papa to come get me. Eventually, I got older and stopped running. But once in a while I'd visit the house anyway. I felt like...like we abandoned everything. All the happy times had happened here, Mama and Papa were both around smiling and I didn't feel the way I did when I was in the castle. Around the holidays, when Papa came to visit, I told him exactly how I felt. So that was when he told me to go visit the house anytime I pleased, that he would leave the door unlocked. I could sit there all day if I needed to, but specifically, I had to come and look at myself in this mirror. He told me this was a very special mirror that Mama made a long time ago. If you could look at yourself in this mirror and remember all the good times without crying, it would give you courage.
"

She placed her hand on the mirror, letting out a small sigh. She turned to Jaakuna, grasping the necklace. "I think...I think he wanted me to come here again. Or, I don't know. It's complicated." She said, looking at the key in her hand.
As he felt something hit him, Grant nearly spilled out his water. From the damage dealt of the kick as well as the angle, not to mention the look on the woman's face, he deduced that Savayna had kicked him. What the hell was up with everyone hitting him today? Was she not satisfied with sucker punching him? Apparently not, because now she was glaring at him. Great, he had managed to piss her off (again) without actually doing anything (again). He couldn't help but glare right back at her. She was really, really starting to get on his nerves, and he didn't appreciate being her punching bag, either.

Nadeline couldn't help but not believe Savayna for even a second. What was wrong with her? After taking a moment to process, it hit her. Holy crap. She had to bite her tongue not to laugh out loud. No, no way, she couldn't like Grant, this morning she knocked him out with a punch! Oh, this was too good. She watched as Grant and Savayna glared at one another. They were totally killing the mood. She looked directly at Grant, coughing slightly. His golden eyes caught her 'stop acting like you have a stick up your ass' look, and he got more irritated. She then batted her eyelashes at Wesley, changing her expression and body language on a dime. Her giggle told him that she accepted his compliment with pride. After a moment, however, Grant regained his composure. He decided to copy Wesley, though he didn't exactly have the man's smoothness. "You look nice tonight." He said quietly to Savayna.
"Have fun you crazy kids!"

Lorenzo and Karolina bid the group farewell, the two heading back to the castle. Grant watched them leave, Reia's actions still on his mind. They'd continue to plague him even as the group would split up. He found it somewhat odd that they didn't just all go out, but Nadeline insisted on their double date ("There's no such thing as a triple date!") and so he found himself sitting next to Wesley and across from Savayna, who had also been strangely quiet for some time now. Nadeline sat across from Wesley, talking to him about something or whatever, he hadn't been paying too much attention. However, the girl had been paying attention to both Grant and Savayna's silence.

"What's wrong, you two?" Nadeline asked them curiously.

"Nothing." Grant stated, taking a swig of his water.
The pair walked down the streets of Stigma, looking to see what the night life looked like. For Emiri, it was more about reacquainting herself and going down memory lane. She walked hand in hand with Jaakuna, often pointing out places that she had been to and offering tidbits about places that no longer existed and whatnot. It was still weird to think she was back home of all places, and before she even noticed, she found herself in her old neighborhood. Grasping the key on her necklace, she silently led Jaakuna through the many houses around. It was very quiet, though most people watched the couple curiously. She paused before a piece of property on a corner. All that remained were the foundations of a home, the place looking like it could fall apart at any second.

Emiri stepped through the desolate front lawn and over the rocky path that led to the house. She stopped before the front door, and using the key she had, she unlocked it. She stepped inside and let out a small cough. The house had been abandoned for some time, thick layers of dust covering what remained on the walls and furniture. Everything was on the first floor--a small kitchen, one bedroom, and the living room. She approached a dusty mirror that was as tall as she was. It looked like something straight out of a fairytale, elaborately decorated. Despite its age, she saw herself clearly through the dirt and dust gathered on its surface. She looked at Jaakuna through the mirror.

"I'm sure you can guess where we are." She spoke, her voice lightly echoing through the room.
"Cut it out, Naddie, they're probably waiting for us!" Emiri chided Nadeline, throwing her towel at the girl. "Don't you have a date to get ready for?"

Nadeline pulled the towel off her head, sticking her tongue out. "Don't be jealous." She sang happily as Karolina handed her a bag. As Savayna would ask her about Grant, the blonde thought to herself. "He seemed to be enjoying himself today when we were playing. Except when he got hit in the face. But that was hilarious."

Karolina chuckled lightly, pulling her shirt over her head. "Grant has always been a serious young man, I'm glad he had fun today." She said, pulling on her long skirt. She then took a brush out of her bag, sitting her daughter down and began combing it through Nadeline's hair, despite her protest. "I think he likes being around all of you. He doesn't look like it, but he tends to get very lonely in the castle. He just has a harder time expressing himself, that's all." She explained to the girls as she brushed through Nadeline's tangles. Once she finished, she patted her daughter's head and motioned to Emiri. The brunette took Nadeline's spot and Karolina began brushing her hair as well. "He'll have fun tonight, I'm sure of it."

"Does that answer your question?" Nadeline asked Savayna.

Outside, Lorenzo and Grant exited the mens' changing room. They caught Jaakuna laughing, though paid no mind to it. "I'll be returning to the castle, tonight." He told Grant quietly. "I'll send word to find out about Reia's assassin."

He nodded, though he turned to his brother. "I know you weren't lying, but...I had hoped your information would be false. I didn't think Reia would turn out like Roland." He replied. "Even if she was to eliminate Nadeline and myself...then what? Would she go after you as well? Is a bloodbath what she really wants? Doesn't she realize this won't end well no matter what course of action she takes?"

Lorenzo patted Grant's shoulder. "What we are in the dark determines what we really are. I suggest you not worry about it too much."
