Good work? That was a laugh. Although Charlotte had to secretly admit she was somewhat relieved to hear it. Charlotte would nod in acknowledgment at his comment, though of course he would then ask if she wanted anything out of him. Was her visiting really that out of character for her? Perhaps it was, so maybe she shouldn't jump to conclusions. Speaking of conclusions, her intrusion would soon have a consequence even she did not see coming. Xerox would get off the bed, which under normal circumstances shouldn't have been a big deal. It was the fact that he was naked that made it a big deal. In actuality lots of people slept naked or in their underwear, so it should not have been a shock, really. Except that as a teenage girl who not only had no interest in relationships and had never even gotten close enough to a male to even consider thinking about the male body, this had completely caught her off guard.

For the first time in a very long time Charlotte had actually been stunned to silence, her jaw dropped, eyes very briefly flickering.

Clearing her throat (wow that must have been loud) she opened her mouth to speak, but no words came. His face was red, no doubt hers was too. She also noticed that she hadn't moved an inch since the...flashing. Oh that was a bad name for it. This was not a joke. It was only then that she noticed she had been staring rather intently at him. Oh dear gods kill me now. "Something I needed? Nothing in particular." She responded, her tone noticeably deadpan. "I thought I would come visit you and Syrus, though he seems to not be around...so here I am." She offered a small shrug, though she would walk over to the bed, taking a chair and sitting down. "Unless you don't want me here, in which case I understand and will leave if need be." Charlotte would pause for a moment, then resumed with, "I brought you...this. It's custom to bring flowers for wishes of wellness." She would extend her hand, offering one of the roses to him.
"Prototype?" Emiri asked as she looked at Jaakuna with a small frown on her face. It would seem that he wanted to go somewhere, but where? She tried to imagine where, but nothing really seemed to come to mind. She would also think that it was odd that he wanted to go somewhere. Either way Jaakuna would extend his hand out to her. She would smile lightly, though her curiosity would overcome her. "Where are we going?" She asked him.
"What is that?"

It would seem that the group had reached their destination...or at the very least, the place where the path had lead down to. Instead of finding Ultima, however, there was only a room with what appeared to be a ginormous treasure coiffer in it. Not only did it seem extremely out of place, but in this crystal haven it simply looked bizarre. Nadeline couldn't help but muse that for once it was a good thing that Jaakuna hadn't been around, he would have charged to try to get the treasure for sure. Grant would frown slightly as he inspected it. "You know...what does this remind me of?" He asked, truly puzzled. "I have seen this somewhere before...but where...?"

"Have you truly?" Nadeline asked him curiously. "I don't believe I have ever seen anything like this."

Grant nodded at her, crossing his arms as he thought to himself. Yes, this definitely looked familiar. But from where? That was when it hit him. "Oh, I know. It reminds me of a Mimic, does it not?" The group would fall silent, though all eyes would turn to the giant thing before them. As if on cue, the mechanisms within would activate. Grant would silently curse and flinch as no doubt everyone had thrown a glare at him, though their attention would soon be grabbed by the creature in front of him. Just like a Mimic, it would unfold before the, albeit a little slower than the usual quick Mimic. Grant spotted an inscription and peered at it. "Omega Mark XII...? Oh. OH. Oh no."
Hmmm, tempted to make an original character now after seeing this roster.
For the moment, Aurelia would study the beast very carefully. Everyone's attacks seemed to have been working together wonderfully, though for one reason or another she had found herself somewhat hesitating. The initial concern of hers had been that since everyone was moving around, she was afraid that she may accidentally end up either lighting someone on fire, electrocuting them, freezing them in place...Her hesitance would show as she would aim to fire, only to stop and just stare. She couldn't just sit there and do nothing, though. An opening had to come up sooner or later, right?

Wait for it.

Aurelia let Rampion's cannon drop down to the ground, though she would then decide to amp up her attack. As soon as the decision was made the girl would concentrate and filter more Dust. The charge up may have been slightly longer than usual, but she knew that at any second now a chance would come. She just needed to be ready for it. Taking in a deep breath, she would keep her eyes solely on the enemy. Making sure that the Dust element had been an electrical one, she felt it course through the jewel as it charged. She would amp it up, sparks of electricity coming around her weapon.

Wait for it.

Rampion was pretty heavy with Dust at this point. She would struggle slightly just to lift it back up in the air, and even then her arms were shaking just to keep it up. Still, she knew that at any second that time would come so she would force herself to take aim. Any moment now...and the chance came at last.

And...now!

Like the first star twinkling in the night, Aurelia spotted it. Perhaps not the best comparison, but that was the thought that went through her head and she was sticking to it. Aurelia fired off the shot and it zipped through the air like a shooting star (what was it with her and stars right now). The initial blast looked like a giant ball of light surrounded by several bolts of lightning, though it may have been hard to see because of its speed. It zipped through and would pretty much blast the creature head on, and this is where the phrase 'eat it' would come to mind. Aurelia herself had gone flying back from the recoil, landing flat on her back rather comically with only an "Eeep!" being heard.
I will post today too (hopefully) :D
"Hm?"

The brunette's eyes would flutter open, staring at the sky above her. She sat up, looking around. What time was it? As the thought crossed her mind, she let out a loud yawn and would lay back down. After a few seconds of silence, she would jerk awake. Oh no. Had she overslept? Getting on all fours she would crawl over to the edge of the building, stealing a peek. Yeah, she overslept. She was definitely late...again. They were definitely going to have her head for this for sure. Once she got to her feet she would stretch her arms above her head, letting out a groan of satisfaction. Sleep was a luxury that she hadn't had in a while...though her dream was definitely weird. Once she had stretched all her limbs, she would make sure her hood was up.

"Alrighty, here we go." She encouraged herself, taking a few steps back. Once she deemed the distance to be alright, she would run off. The jump was somewhat exhilarating, and she would land on the ground in no time. Her knees shook lightly from the impact, but there was no time for that. She needed to get going--Asuka needed to join in the fight.
As Jaakuna left, Emiri would wince. She held her head, feeling a very odd kind of pain. It hurt, but it wasn't like a headache...or at least she didn't think so. It was a very foreign feeling that she didn't like, but she knew she would have to sit through it. It would be worth it. It was worth it. Jaakuna made it worth it for her. She let out a slight groan, though she would put her hands on her lap and open her eyes. As she did Jaakuna would walk in and take a seat next to her. A part of her wanted to tell him that it hurt, but really, it didn't matter. They were coming back...one way or another.
"I can't believe we haven't found anything yet."

The uncharacteristic complaint from Grant would not fall on deaf ears. The very real truth of the matter was that they were lost. Grant thought he could keep track, but they had gone in so deep he just was not sure where they were. Nadeline would keep going with a small frown. For her, she thought it was very quiet, all things considered. Her eyes would search the crystal walls, expecting an attack that would never come. Where had all the monsters gone? She could not chalk it up to luck either; the Mist had changed around them as well. There was...something nearby, but for some reason she just did not think it was Ultima. It was very strong, but she had no idea what it was. A strong monster? No, it wasn't.

"Let's be on our guard." Nadeline muttered, gripping her rapier as they continued.
Luckily for her, Jaakuna would ask the very same question she had been pondering. It seemed that the questions were a test. Levi would tell her to close her eyes. She would nod and do as she was told, closing her eyes. She would do as she was instructed, imagining her happy place. She knew where that was, it would be right here on the Ifrit. It was because of breakfast time, the one time of the day where they were always together. As she was told to do, she imagined her friends gathered around her. She would smile lightly to herself, though she would then concentrate.

"Ab aeterno, memini me lumen." She repeated slowly.
The brunette would feel Levi's hands on her head. She was curious, but she didn't bother asking what she was doing. She wondered if the questions she asked would help her in any way. No, now wasn't the time for wondering, she needed to focus. Levi would then ask about her age and parentage. "Twenty four as of a few days ago. My father...my father is Andre Iniabi. My mother is..." She would have a somewhat forlorn expression. She took in a deep breath and continued. "My mother is Justine Iniabi." She mumbled in response.
The brunette would nod and follow Levi's directions, going to the dining room. For the first time in a long time she was truly hopeful and optimistic about this. She wanted to understand Jaakuna's hesitation, she really did. But maybe, just maybe she was telling the truth. It was worth a shot, wasn't it? As she sat down she watched the woman in front of her. Yes, her face did look somewhat familiar, but she did not really remember who exactly she was. Levi would then ask her for her name. "Um." Emiri would think to herself for a moment. "Emiri Iniko--no, that's not right." She furrowed her brow, concentrating. "...Emelia. Emelia Rianna Iniabi."
