Ben's hand on her head was weird, the notion nearly causing Lilie to erupt into a fit of giggles. Was this his way of comforting her? He sure had a weird way of showing it if that was the case. Still, it did calm her down immensely, and she was all too glad to take his help as she got up on wobbly feet. That said, her eyes widened considerably as he mentioned leaving. What?! And miss the challenge?! No way, there was no way she was going to leave after going through that! If anything they had to succeed now!

"We're gonna keep going and win!" She told him, filled with confidence once again. "You said you saw something down there, right? This time, let's stay together."

She beckoned for Ben to stay close before pulling the water from the second pool, bringing it up and surrounding them. With the same motion she used to launch herself before, she made sure to bring them down the same way. It was a little shaky, but they landed in one piece, and Lilie casually flicked the water back to the second pool, making sure their way was clear. She could see the opening Ben had mentioned, as well as the golden light.

"Oh wow..." Lilie knelt down to look, though she gasped. "Wait a minute...'All that glitters is not gold but hides that which you wish to hold!' So that means this is what we're looking for! Come on!" She didn't bother waiting for any confirmation, hurriedly crawling through the opening.

...That being said, it's got kickin' music...

I really like Persona's music, this has my interest
@Inkarnate I wanted it borderless!

@stone I don't know what that means, I found it on Pinterest and thought she was super cute lol

Despite her best efforts not to panic, Lilie was definitely panicking. She was pretty sure she was going to end up drowning, the shark impossible to move. She nearly screamed as a hand came out of nowhere and grabbed her wrist, looking at the assailant with wide eyes--Ben had come! What a relief! It looked like he was able to free her, but she didn't miss than he struggled a little with it too. She should have tried to be careful not to pinch her fingers but she was way too distracted by her lungs screaming at her for air.

Fortunately, Ben didn't take long, pulling her up with him. That first gasp of air was overwhelming, and she let Ben drag her out of the water as she coughed and tried to steady her breathing. She was shaking, clinging to the ground for dear life as she caught her breath. Thank goodness, she was convinced she was a goner! At Ben's question, she coughed a little, but nodded. "Y-Yeah...I'm okay now..." Barely, but hey, she wasn't trapped anymore.

Looking back at the water, she shuddered, shaking her head as she squeezed her eyes shut. "I...I saw my friends just floating there, and my brother--" She couldn't bring herself to say it. "It was horrible..."

I really like tables. Still experimenting and nowhere near good as this guy though

AND THEN I FORGET TO MAKE THIS ONE BORDERLESS AGYUFRIAFDA
Under the 0th post of the character tab will be an NPC section, whenever someone is introduced/whenever an NPC is deemed relevant, they'll be added there.

If anyone has any questions to ask, please feel free to do so! We're off to a great start!

p.s. this'll be the babelicious counselor, she's in charge of the girls' dorm and is free to interact with whenever any character needs to:

"Yukinari, please sit up properly."

Rio sank more into her seat, pointedly staring at her knees. It was getting a little uncomfortable sitting on the chair with the heels of her shoes firmly on the chair, but hey, she never asked to be here. This had to be some kind of record--it wasn't even the first day of school, and she had somehow already ended up in the principal's office. Well, the guidance counselor's office, but basically the same thing. She had stepped a foot into campus and there the lady was, whisking her away before she had the chance to walk away. They had barely spoken once she had put Rio in a seat, instead the woman tapped away at her computer. Despite her tone, the woman looked more amused than anything, brushing her bangs away from her red rimmed glasses as she looked back at her computer.

After a few seconds, Rio lifted her gaze to meet the guidance counselor's, a little surprised to find she was staring at her. Rolling her eyes, Rio sat up, waving her hands with a flourish. "Happy?"

"Very much so, yes," She replied, pushing back her seat to stand. "Come along now, we'll walk and talk."

What the hell was the point of bringing her to the office, then?! Rio resisted the urge to kick something as she got to her feet, trudging behind the woman as she stuffed her hands into her pockets. She swore she heard the woman giggle, though when she leveled a glare on her, she was stone faced. "Are you gonna talk or are you gonna tell me what the hell's going on?" Rio decided to give the woman 'permission' to speak. "What, did the principal tell you to babysit me?"

"As a matter of fact, yes he did. My name is Suzuki Eiko, and while you're attending Kenkōichi you'll be under my careful watch," She replied without skipping a beat. "I understand you're new to the academy, and despite your checkered past, it'll be my job to mold you into a proper member of society."

For fuck's sake, she was joking! Rio scowled openly, raising an eyebrow. "You must not have a lot to do if they're telling you to 'look after me', what a load of bullshit," She muttered.

"Aside from my regular duties, I happily volunteer as the girls' dorm advisor. This is all part of my job, Yukinari." Ms. Suzuki assured her cheerfully. "There is nothing more satisfying than overseeing the students and helping them out to the best of my abilities. That includes making sure you stay out of trouble, like it or not."

"Lucky me," Rio replied.

"A lot of students would agree," Ms. Suzuki giggled, waving to a few passing students. "Come along now, every year I like to greet my students and I'd like to meet the boys' dorm advisor and warn him about you."

Rio would've been offended if she didn't have a point. Oh well, not like she had anything better to do at the moment. That said, she could see why Ms. Suzuki was so damn cocky in her statement--nearly every other student they passed happily greeted her, a few waving and the rest at minimum acknowledging her. She must have been popular. As Rio gave her a look over, she admitted she didn't seem the appeal. They had just met and she was annoying as all fuck.

As she scoffed again, the pair walked into the dormitory. Despite it being early, it looked like there were a few people around, likely some early birds. There were a few benches and a multitude of indoor plants, as well as an empty receptionist desk. Suzuki gave the few students around a wave before beckoning Rio to follow her, showing her the desk.

"I think that part of your desire to cause trouble comes from having too much free time," She cheerfully informed her. "I think having your cooperation in helping me out with reception should curb that a little."

Her jaw dropped as she looked from the desk to the counselor, giving her a look of disbelief. It was like she was being preemptively punished or something! "You're kidding, right?" She asked.

"Better than getting turned over to the police for defacing public property, right?" She replied cheerfully, lightly pushing her into the seat. "Now, I'll list of some of your responsibilities, so pay attention."

Ugh, Rio was so sure there hadn't been any security cameras around when she did that! The girl scowled again, crossing her arms as she half-listened to her instructions. How hard could putting in names and watering plants be, anyway?

It hit? It hit! But what did it hit?

There was no missing the black crystal, although even if Luna were blind, she would have noticed--she could feel its aura, the source of her discomfort practically screeching at her as the malboro sank into the hole. Slowly lowering her arm, she exhaled a sigh, unsure if it was relief or nervousness. Why did it show up here, of all places? She couldn't fathom why, but she did know that it was a bad sign. The forest wasn't too far from the city--had they not exterminated it, she was sure that its spawn would have attacked the walls. Seeing how quickly they multiplied, that would have been an issue, but what truly bothered her was the mist.

Rubbing the back of her neck, she noticed the pain had waned. She missed Blaike's comment, too lost in her thoughts to register anything that happened, including Edgar's unfortunate encounter. It wasn't until the group started to move that she realized she had missed the events, quietly cursing herself. Despite suffering no physical wounds, Luna felt drained just looking at that black shard, although she was determined to take care of it sooner than later.

The talk of gil and contracts didn't interest Luna much, though she remained quiet throughout Balder's explanations. At the very least Edgar suffered no lingering effects--that was a relief. She felt restless, all too happy to hear that they would be taking a short recess. She eyed the samples warily, the temptation to snatch them and run rising with every minute, but she needn't be so hasty, nor was she willing to have the entirety of the guard brought down on her.

Once Balder mentioned they should say their goodbyes to the city, the girl nodded. "Please excuse me, then," Luna bowed deeply to the group, and without offering any explanation she walked out of the building. She wasn't the only one to walk out, seeing Artemisia walk away, but she tried to be as inconspicuous as possible as she walked around to the side of the building, ducking into an alleyway as she hastily made her way towards the back.

Trying to work as quickly as possible without anyone seeing her, she pulled out the pieces of aldite still in the bow and pocketed them, rummaging around her bag until she pulled out what looked like a clear glass marble. She bit down on her lip as she checked once more to make sure no one was around before cautiously sliding it in to the slot, watching it emit a soft glow. Hoping that the weapon would pull it off, Luna strummed the harp, watching as a large pulse of magic swelled out. It was as if a refreshing breeze had passed through the building, but as quickly as it came it left--and what was more, it was followed immediately by a crack as wood and metal both bent, unable to contain the magic in her hands.

Luna couldn't react fast enough before the bow in her hands promptly summoned back the pulse, overloading the weapon. In a panic, she threw it aside, but not before the spell rebounded and sent her flying backwards. She landed on her back, quickly curling up as she threw her arms over her head. Bits and pieces of the weapon flew over her, a few stinging her arms, but after a few seconds, all was quiet. Slowly taking a peek, she realized she was laying in what looked like a massacre for the poor bow.

"Oh..." She sighed, sitting up. What a disaster. A small sparkle of light came from what was left of the aldite slots, the stone within dissipating into light. Getting to her feet, she brushed herself off, wincing a touch as she noticed the few cuts she had. Well, she did just get paid. Maybe it was time for a new weapon. With that in mind, Luna cautiously walked back to the common streets, taking another look around to make sure she wasn't followed, and then decided to look for the closest weapon shop.
