@Hero Gotcha! I've reworked out her muteness since it doesn't really affect much. :D
I'll PM you with some thoughts for the Crest abilities, if you don't mind bouncing around some ideas with me.

I don't mind at all, I'm around most times either here or on Discord!
@Eleven

My main concern with the power is that it's difficult to judge what's "equal"--so she narrowly avoids death today, and then tomorrow...gets stabbed to make up for it? Trips and falls down the stairs shattering every bone in her body? Aside from that, though, this is a narrative-driven RP, there really won't be too many mechanics happening on the player's side so you'd also have to choose to activate the ability which sort of negates the randomness/luck portion of it. I understand it was based off the arcana (which is a nice touch, I like the attention to detail), but I think the cons also outweigh the pros.

For the second point, I'll be blunt; I genuinely don't think a mute character would thrive in this environment. It would be something to overcome and adapt to, yes, but I also think it's too big an obstacle to interaction. While I agree a Crest giving telepathy would potentially solve the issue, that scale of power isn't what I had in mind for the rp. The character and background are solid, future conflicts have basically written themselves, and I think this type of character would go well with the group so far. And ofc I'm definitely willing to hear out any other power you come up with!
@Eleven Good timing haha. I just have a few questions for the CS:

- How would you apply your Crest ability to the roleplay? Most fights and events are going to rely on narrative with only certain actions relying on a hidden roll.

- Despite the magic and dragons the rp is taking place in the equivalent of medieval times. I'm just concerned that with communication being inefficient/impossible during combat (as the notebook method wouldn't really be viable there with a sword in hand) combat scenes would be increasingly difficult, and the entire point of attending the Officers Academy is to learn fighting and warfare, so I think you might write yourself into a corner or get bored during scenes where communication methods aren't possible.
Double post again whoops

Just checking in on @ThatCharacter and @Eleven, how y'all doin
Alrighty I'll be putting this in the 0th post on the ongoing list of things I need to organize. First up is relevant to anyone wanting spells for any reason--this is not limited to mages, but to anyone that decides to take up Faith or Reason. For each rank (from D to A) a spell is learned. Your character can pick any from each column as they rank up.

Black Magic is the typical elemental-based spell. For this rp there's a elemental square where each element triumphs over the other (in the order of Fire -> Blizzard -> Thunder -> Wind -> Fire) but that doesn't mean having only fire spells means running into a mage with wind is gonna be a bad time.

Dark Magic requires reason but for RP purposes will be considered a separate parameter; it requires lessons from the resident Dark Bishop Tomai. Dark magic has a variety of effects and are all non-elemental compared to their elemental counterparts.

White Magic has an assortment of spells, most of them recovery based. Some of the higher tiers also have unique effects against enemies.

Anyone that starts out as a Mage will be on Rank D at the start of the RP so they have some way to defend themselves in battle. Anyone that does not have either Faith or Reason as a Strength will have to build their magic from Rank E.

Lilie blinked slowly at Salem, a little confused. She felt like he was trying to tell her something--except she was never really good at understanding these sort of things. She definitely did something wrong, but what? He emphasized investigation, so she was sure it was the clock. Was it because she had touched it? That was kinda dangerous in hindsight. Well, at least everyone else was confused, so maybe she could stay quiet now and ask Salem what she did wrong later.

Aaron assured them they had nothing to worry about and didn't seem too surprised--well, he was definitely surprised, but not by the clock--as he explained that it was from his superior. Isn't the count his superior? That looked like magic and vampires definitely couldn't use that. Or could they? This whole situation was confusing her more and more. He was referring to a mage, though, but she nearly groaned at that because it meant there was probably some kind of weird mage hiearchy Ben was gonna have to teach her about. As if she didn't have enough lessons!

"Um, I didn't do much," Lilie admitted with a small shrug. Kneeling down next to the table again, she took one of the larger pieces and placed it on the tray. "Will you get in trouble since it's..." She was going to say 'broken' but that didn't seem to be enough. "...irreparable?"

For the in-progs and WIPs, this is what we have so far

If your name isn't on the list and you already mentioned where you're going, feel free to yell at me. If your name isn't on the list but you know what you're going for, let me know.
