I kinda try to get in their head once i've created them. ^^"
"Electives come in just about ever topic you can think of. There aren't very many limitations. I am taking a class on alternate identities and a psychology class." Katherin volunteered. "I think it is a good idea to have your ordinary life as planned out as your supernatural life. It could b the difference between success and failure. It's a good thing that you have some sort of idea of what you want to be. Many are still trying to find their places. Or not thinking about anything outside of fighting or committing crimes.""That is encouraging." Makoto sighed, more from being tired than anything else. "Do you both want to come with me to sign up for electives? We can hang out after if you would like." She didn't want to be alone right now and she also figured that she could use as many friends as she could get. From her encounters at lunch, she was also intrigued by Flood and his... well, the way he was. Katherin seemed to be nice too. She had a short conversation with her at lunch as well. They didn't seem like bad people and she would like to get to know them more, even if she was tired. End the day on a positive note and all that instead of a lonely one. For now, Makoto knew she had Storm and Phoebe on her side, but was open to having more friends.
Makoto listened to the two's input. "I guess the roof and the classroom are my best bet." She assumed that the two, having been in class, saw her small display of electricity. "The weapons course sounds like fun but I think i'd be better off in a martial arts class. The style I used today seemed to work alright." she paused thinking of the future she had wanted for herself before her life fell apart and was put back together in a very surreal way. "For the other elective I was thinking of something in the health sciences that has to do with anatomy. Do you know of any like that?" Makoto felt her heart and mind begin to fill with a bit of hope, just enough to dream of the future again. Maybe she will still be able to become a doctor. Maybe she can still help people, maybe more so now with the strengths she has. "You guys are all so kind, thanks for helping me out." she said, reflecting on the day she has had."Sounds like Phoebe covered most of it. Safe places to train reskky depend in your ability. I practice outside mostly. But only while the weathed is cold. When it warms up I'll move indoors." Katherin explained. "Safe places include the classroom where we have power development. There's also a large second gym designed to withstand almost anything. You can sign up for electives at the office. There's a few computers set up just for that. As for a safe place to name. Its hard to dsay with all the choas. But the dorms are usually quiet.""I can name a place. The roof of the school. No one goes up there besides me. The dorms are crazy loud if you have a roommate. Unless your roommate is like me." Flood told her with a smile. "Electives are next, I suggest you take Weapons 101. It has a pretty easy going teacher and it gives you a good amount of experience with firearms and melee weapons."
"Oh. I'm fine. Thank you. Ive been a little... off lately" Katherin explained. "I think so much is happening that sometimes I feel left behind. But that's a personal thing. What have you seen so far?"Makoto nodded in mild understanding of Katherin's explination. There are many reasons why someone would feel off for a while, and she understood wanting to not get into it. As much as she cared for others, she was still shielding/protecting her own pain. "Phoebe showed me the pools, the gym, the dorms," she held out her pass key for the dorms with her room number engraved on it. "the library, the cafeteria and we took a lap around the school." Makoto put her key back in her pocket. "To be honest I would like to find a safe place to be quiet and practice as well as sign up for the electives... and maybe a nap." Makoto was tired, it had been one hell of a day already. Scuffling with social services, facing the reality that her parents are gone, her powers emerging, running away, encountering Mystique and the X-Men, being dropped off here, and attending a class where they are supposed to beat up their teacher. She was exhausted and though her mind had been distracted from the events earlier in her day, she was finally beginning to feel just how exhausted she was.
"Alright then." Makoto said, turning towards the young female. "Are you alright?" She asked tentatively. What went down in that class was not anything she had ever experienced before and from other's reactions, it was new to them as well.Phoebe gave Makoto a smile saying to her, "Katherin will look after you", and followed Nicholas. figuring that she should make an effort with Nicholas."Well, if you want to hone your powers, it's going to be about practice, practice, practice. I also studied a lot about plants and their different properties, enabling me to manipulate them for things like what I did with mimic just then. And what do you want to talk about, regarding us?" She said, somewhat puzzled.Katherin looed up a the sound of her name. She had been lost in thought. Alot of drama had been happening. "Sure I would love to show you around Makoto. Some tome outside in the cold air might clear my head."
