Opal´s eyes scanned the cramped interior of the aircraft to examine the weapons of everybody else on board. They seemed well equipped to survive, for the most part. Her face had no trace of emotion save for the tightening of her jaw at the mention of teams and leaders. Those charades with making acronyms and having to play babysitter... she didn´t like the idea of it. Relying on others made you soft. If you couldn´t pick yourself back up after a fall, how were you supposed to put up a fight? Regardless, she was one of the first to speak, putting her solitary nature aside to charge the question head on.

"Opal." she stated. There was yet to be a team attached to her, and so the word felt blunt and empty. "Jalatl." she added.

If one of her teammates acted like that silver haired youth or the chipper girl, she wasn´t sure how she´d be able to get a good career out of this. The girl´s "weapon" was one of the most bizarre to Opal, bringing to mind the image of a hyperactive little bird flitting inside of a cage.

The earth magic hailing from Tembrot village is a branch of traditional magic that bases its rituals off of positive aspects related to the earth. Austerity, endurance, hard work and a strong connection to your community are seen as the most ideal characteristics one can have as a magician.

A magic ritual from another branch might require rare ingredients or something similarly extravagant; Earth rituals are different in that they involve a similar amount of effort but are focused on the willpower of the individual above all else. Possible rituals include running around a rock several hundred times, digging a giant hole and filling it up, carving ridiculously large spirals in the earth, etcetera. Even with willpower as the main focus, kinship is almost as important. Male earth magicians are often required to build ornamental mud houses to channel a paternal energy for barrier magic, while their female counterparts might be tasked with sculpting humanoid and animalian figures to channel maternal summoning magic.

Cerrad’s femininity severely hampers his ability to achieve the power of a true Tembrot wizard. He is currently able to summon a warthog piglet and an adult warthog. Summoning the adult warthog is a difficult and time consuming process, and he is currently in a tumultuous relationship with both creatures.

Biography

Cerrad grew up in a small town of earth magicians where hard work and endurance were revered. Despite relentless training by his father, Cerrad was unsuccessful in casting magic and grew increasingly bitter and frustrated, eventually deciding to live away from his parents as an act of defeat. Most of his family was patient with his incompetence and frequently reminded him that he was welcome to return, but the overly self-critical Cerrad refused and opted to live a mundane life to avoid further disappointment.

Or so it seemed, until he accidentally summoned a warthog piglet after a particularly hard day of work. It took only a small amount of time to recover from the taboo act of performing women’s magic, as he realized that this meant he wasn’t completely hopeless. For the next couple of years he trained in secrecy, with the poor results expected from someone with no magical mentor and a suffocated schedule.

Personality

Since summoning is the feminine half of Tembrot magic, Cerrad views his limited abilities as shameful and will give false and vague answers on his magic and upbringing. He is an incredibly vain perfectionist who despises being dirty in any way, and puts a large amount of effort on his appearance.

He dislikes children and animals because of their helplessness and he considers anybody who isn’t self-sufficient to be below him and unworthy of being assisted. All of his mannerisms and personality traits are a direct contrast to the ideal Tembrot magician, a fact he is acutely aware of, although mentioning it would infuriate him to no end. Cerrad has a short temper and is normally annoyed or angry, which can be easily seen by the way he grits his teeth when going through either emotion. His voice will also shift from being soft and gentle to sounding like a bitter old man while ticked off, with his traditional tastes in clothing enhancing the effect.

A mercenary who is willing to do anything and everything as long as it means getting more paste and staying alive. He has no sense of loyalty and prioritizes self-preservation above all else. If the Federation were to offer him a more bountiful job, he’d accept it without hesitation.

PERSONALITY

TS-361 dislikes the noises and quirks that belong to organic bodies. He has experience in combat yet finds the sight of organs repulsive. He is disgusted at nudity, believing it to be the most humiliating act a living being can perform. Not nudity in the traditional sense, but nudity the way he interprets it. He sees skin as a casing for the body, similar to a machine, and any exposed areas like wounds or severe injuries are perceived as nude and pathetic. TS-361 thinks of the sight of “true” nudity as something akin to a broken machine that can never be put back together again.

Whenever TS-361 gets nervous he resorts to biting the hairs off his arms, a result of being disgusted with hair as a concept. He is disgusted by his own body, but isn’t ashamed of it as he is disgusted with the idea of organic bodies in general. This unorthodox interpretation of flesh has led to the development of a rude, quiet, greedy and overall strange homunculus.

Likes

Physical Books: TS-361 isn't very smart, but collecting books satisfies his greed. He enjoys reading the blurbs and skimming through a few of the pages. All of his books are in terrible condition.

Tight Spaces: Being grown from a tube has made him subconsciously find comfort in tight and cramped spaces. He is an incredibly messy person and feels right at home in the large piles of garbage he tends to generate.

Exercise: Physical strength is vital for his job, and it helps with relaxation.

Dislikes

Hangnails: A frustrating feature of the human body.

Meat-based human food: Seen as primal and brutish. Bits of fat in meat are particularly disgusting to him.

Mouth Noises: Eating noises, burping, sneezing, coughing, yawning, etc.

APPEARANCE

STILL WIP TS-361's hair is constantly messy. He cuts it out of frustration in uneven chunks from time to time. His leg hair is uneven and patchy due to shaving it off with knives, both out of wanting to test their sharpness and sporadically being uncomfortable with it.

He wears bland civilian clothing, but has no problems with wearing armor for extended periods of time.

MAI is a droid created under the federation and marketed at young families. My Artificial Intelligence was made with the intention of fulfilling the human socialization needs that are ever present in young children. They are equipped with a constantly expanding virtual library of nursery rhymes, stories and more that adapt to the age of each individual child, even capable of sharing parenting advice and therapy with their customers. They are a must have for the wealthy and hectic couple of today.

This particular MAI model was stolen and cut off from their network with the intention of using them to spy on powerful federation members from inside their homes. Of course, this is not even as remotely easy as it sounds, as their targets often have security systems that compete with their weapons in terms of size, price and power. This model is currently a rookie and will have to go under strenuous training in order to blend in and learn to hurt people as much as nurture them.

PERSONALITY

Maikaela has remained with a static amount of entertainment in their internal storage and enjoys using it to talk to others and remedy their problems. Although this is mostly because helping the people around them is instinctual, or as close as a droid could get to instinctual, Maikaela longs for their past life. They often ponder the what ifs involved in that fate-changing day and become happy when they can forget about the present for a little bit. They are prone to long periods of sadness and daydreaming.

They understand that hurting and killing others is a necessity to achieve peace, but they’re still new to the vanguard and severe violence will emotionally affect them. While it is true that they are equipped with the information necessary to aid in domestic accidents like fire safety and choking prevention methods, Maikaela is not be able to withstand the sight of anything rougher than a paper cut.

Mikaela doesn't resent their kidnappers as they share a common goal, but thoughts of "why me and not another model?" often lingers in their head.

A mixture of programming and experience has led Maikaela to become a natural expert with children. This, in turn, has led to them having the patience of a saint and the kindness of one too. Although, as they bloody their hands in the name of peace, this confidence around the innocent will be tested.

Likes

Ancient religion: Maikaela fabricated their name by combining their MAI identity with the name of the archangel of protection, Michael. Records of ancient churches and the details regarding angels fascinate them.

Onesies for adults: A hybrid of the soft colors and fabric of their old clothes and the efficiency and comfort of their new ones.

How schools appeared and functioned prior to the war: Partly out of sadness, partly out of inspiration.

Dislikes

Feeling useless: Maikaela is used to being in control and having a network of other MAI models to fall back on, so general incompetence is a new and negative concept.

Physical contact: Being hugged means that the other person becomes acutely aware of how artificial they are.

Games: Oftentimes MAI models are required to lose games in order to make their clients happy. Maikaela has trouble picking up on whether it's appropriate to try and win, and finds the entire game-within-a-game aspect frustrating.

APPEARANCE

While the standard MAI model wears inoffensive and conservative clothing, Maikaela's original clothes aren't appropriate for their day to day life. They now typically wear anything modest and easily obtainable. Coveralls meant for janitors and most worker uniforms make up their entire casual wardrobe, with the exception of a men's jacket meant as an apology gift from their kidnappers.

Mikaela's eyes are intentionally designed to be large and amicable in order to avoid approaching the uncanny valley. Their small and slightly androgynous frame as well as their head to body ratio similiarly reinforce this idea. The chest contains a flat panel that can be removed to access their insides for maintenance.

Isaac works at an auto repair shop alongside his father. The shop is exclusively dedicated to the maintenance of larger vehicles like trucks, trailers and semi-trailers.

Appearance

Isaac has slightly curly black hair, tan skin and bright orange eyes, standing at around 6’1”. His wardrobe consists of fleece jackets and loose fitting pants that cover every dark color with the exception of navy blue, out of a desire to separate his work uniform from his everyday appearance.

While Isaac will typically wear a jumpsuit with his company’s logo patched on to it during work, he will occasionally wear jeans on days that have a more lenient workload. He carries an olive backpack covered in holes, tears and oil stains. Inside is a small tool bag used as an impromptu pokeball holder.

Biography

Isaac’s entire life has revolved around the same trailer repair shop, as he is the only child to a workaholic father and a mother who he was told passed away while he was an infant. As soon as he was old enough to correctly label and use a wrench, he was inevitably made a part of the team. Isaac accepted begrudgingly, aware that his only other options were sitting around and watching, or staying in their cramped house doing nothing.

The shop forbade the use of pokemon, as the machinery they were working with was too delicate to risk being damaged by a stray elemental sphere or what have you. This, along with the sparse amount of pokemon found in the urban parts of Adriana City resulted in Isaac growing up isolated from them. He wasn’t only separated from pokemon, though. He grew up working alongside middle aged men and never really mingled with people his own age, unless another teenager decided to tag along with their parents while Isaac was in charge of the reception desk.

Throughout the years his coworkers would ask him if he was willing to go out and explore the world, and he’d repeatedly reject the idea. Isaac was aware of how chaotic and different the world outside his shop was like. And early on, he had decided that he would have no part in it. His father always supported his son’s decision to stay at the shop, nervous whenever the subject was brought up.

During a particularly stormy night, Isaac was snooping around in his father’s room. While he normally wasn’t allowed to enter under any circumstance, his coworkers had sent him to fetch important materials that his father had left at their home. Isaac’s father had injured himself on the job and had no choice but to hand over the key. It was during this errand that he discovered a drawer in his father’s room stuffed with letters from someone claiming to be his mother. Rummaging through them confirmed that she was in fact his mom, and that she was desperate to know her sons whereabouts. The letter’s dates grew further apart, the most recent one having been written two years ago. Furious with his father’s actions, he resolved to set forth on a journey to find her.

Personality

“Y-You know, it’s easy to get attached to trucks from attending them enough times. Sometimes I think ‘Wow, it’s that one truck with the sticker of a woman wearing a pokeball bikini!’ And then a large man who smells like cheese will step out of it every time. I-I’m not weirding you out, right?”

Calling Isaac a wallflower is an understatement. He is completely and utterly terrified of having conversations with people his age, and the idea of actually meeting a wild pokemon makes him feel butterfree in his stomach. While he would preferably avoid any and all contact with other people, he is aware that talking is the only way to achieve his goals and will often force himself to be social, resulting in plenty of awkward situations for everyone involved.

Isaac is used to following the rules and procedures of his job to a tee and will quickly enter panic mode when things don’t quite go the way they’re supposed to. He will commonly have disagreements with people who aren’t as strict as he is, but will meekly go along with what they have in mind, though not before weakly protesting.

He is incredibly polite and relaxed around most grownups, especially the elderly. Isaac is skittish around children, what with their unpredictability and all. He has little experience with pokemon and tends to perceive them as mythical creatures rather than animals. Any pokemon that isn’t small and commonly owned in the city will either mystify or scare him. Or both.

Likes

Homemade food: Isaac almost always eats prepackaged meals, so the idea of eating something that wasn’t nuked in a microwave is tantalizing.

Manuals: No matter how hopeless things get, if you have the right manual, you’re guaranteed to succeed! Unfortunately, life has no manual.

Noise: Surrounded by both the noise from the repair shop and the city, constant noise that would be overstimulating to many are instead enjoyed by Isaac as nice background filler.

Dislikes

Silence: Interpreted as awkward when around people and eerie when not, Isaac hates silence.

Berries: Raised on a diet of artificial food, Isaac finds the taste of most berries to either be overwhelming or unappetizingly earthy.

Running: Spending your entire life waddling around oil puddles and general muck gives you an almost instinctual hesitation towards running. Isaac settles on awkwardly powerwalking from place to place whenever he’s absolutely certain nothing funky is on the floor.

Closing thoughts: Character´s personality was not well developed. Character used only once before GM shut down roleplay to reboot another. I avoided the spiritual successor due to feelings of discontent and irritation.

Name: Mark STEEEEL (Yelling his last name like that is mandatory for Mark)

Appearance: A 175cm human bottle rocket, MARK STEEL THE MAN OF STEEL is a fifth generation chimera with a pair of floppy, lightish brown canine ears and a matching tail. Mark will never not sport a soft and long buzz cut the same color of his dog traits.

His body is severely toned, lithe and olive in color. His usual outfit consists of a camo tank top, your basic pale green military hat, and of course, dog tags. He wears baggy army pants and chunky black boots as well. On his neck hangs a small silver whistle.

Age: 17

Species: Fifth generation chimera. Specific heritage unknown, but his animal features are undeniably canine in appearance.

Gender: Male

Occupation: First year

Personality: Mark's obsession with the disciplined and powerful nature of the ideal military man has influenced his entire personality beyond belief. While most children grow out of their "I want to be a soldier" phase once puberty hits, Mark only became more enamored with the concept.

His fervent studies of both ancient and contemporary military customs have inspired him to withhold a bizarre and self-invented soldier's code. He strongly believes in heavy daily exercise, wearing a uniform no matter how inappropriate the occasion, and speaking to everyone in loud, boisterous militarly lingo. Mark believes that military men should all sleep, eat and even bathe together for the sake of increasing morale, and the side that he bats for has been the subject of many heated debates between people who have suffered his presence. His motivational speeches have earned him a small reputation among the younger crowd, who have no doubt been forced to hear his extreme rambles at events.

Mark is unaware of the technical specifics of his powers, and considers his magic to be "Speaking to and unlocking someone's inner soldier."

Biography: Mark grew up in a drab Unoctocan orphanage seemingly in the middle of nowhere. He never knew his parents and seeked out friends at a young age to fill that family-shaped hole in his heart. The name Mark Steel is a fake one, selected by himself to replace his boring, traditional name that was slapped on to him during his early days there.

Mark enjoyed the orphanage's limited supply of comics, although it was the superhero and Unoctocan propaganda comics that caught his eye more than anything. He would read the tattered second hand stories over and over again until his fingertips would turn black from the ink. He frequently read them out loud to his friends, and the children would all reenact the best scenes in the fields outside their shared home.

As he became older and all his friends outgrew their dreams, Mark clung to the idea of becoming a soldier, while keeping a soft spot for the fictional heroes of his past. The pre-teen spent the next couple of years training like a madman and screaming pep talks others around like a sergeant, much to their dismay.

One of the orphanage's many employees was a retired Mordhaben scholar, who devoted his last days to relaxation while occasionally keeping an eye out for talent. Mark's overwhelming and tiring personality seemed horrible for a coach, yet he carried out the role well. A little too well. After questioning the annoying army boy a few times he found himself supernaturally motivated to fulfill his job, confirming his suspicions and landing Mark a place to hone his skills at.

Character Age- 24

Out of game description - Will can be quickly summarized as the black and white "you're doing it wrong" part of an infomercial. No other human being has come close to him in terms of screw-ups, mistakes, errors and buffoonery. As anyone who's met him knows, he has the luck of a black cat underneath a ladder. Will isn't the type to do take it slow and can be obsessive, delusional, and hard to deal with at times. Anyone caught in the middle of his stupid ideas will think he's friendly, but will often opt to create as much distance between them as possible.

He has a tendency to hyperventilate whenever something catches his interest and frequently develops a nice set of bloodshot eyes when he finds something new to fawn over. The bags under his eyes are gucci.

Character History - After all one hundred and seventy-three of his career ideas were rejected by his middle school counselor, a young and plucky Will Nguyen was told to be as realistic as he could when planning his future. A couple of hours later, after slouching around in an old bean bag chair in his room, he had an epiphany. If he couldn't be all the crazy things he wanted to be, why not choose the most boring job imaginable! He'd work and afterwards would indulge in all the same things he enjoyed now! After mulling over which career seemed the most boring he finally settled on becoming an accountant.

Years later, at the age of 24, Will has fallen into the sarlacc pit of online gaming. After receiving an invitation to participate in Dreamscape Online he nearly passed out. After making sure he wasn't dreaming and adjusting the "You can do it" kitten poster on his desk, the office drone wasted no time in signing up.

Will wanted to make a cowboy character despite knowing nothing about cowboys and the game not supporting them, hence the ridiculous first and last name.

Walker is a pretty muscular avatar, but it's only cosmetic and he can't actually do much.

Will is extremely unlucky in real life, but his avatar is decently lucky, which will probably be a running gag.
