I like rats, jalapeño poppers, y2k aesthetics and idol games. I am pretty extroverted on the internet due to how easy it is to connect with people with similar interests. My personality may come across as aggressively friendly or over the top at times and I apologize in advance for that, whoops.

As for my strange signatures and profile pictures, a lot of them are a part of a specific aesthetic I´ve developed over the years that's basically 2000s aesthetics with a focus on the technology that explore themes of loss, abandonment, filth, and hopelessness, rather than the optimistic and mainstream view of the future that was common during that period of time.

I thought I could handle joining three roleplays within the same timeframe but I predictably ended up deep frying my brain. Creativity machine broke and my ideas for this have honestly been pretty terrible. Best of luck in this roleplay cum-chan o7

So it wasn´t a spirit, didn´t know what a culture was, and struggled to even know the name of her species. Mirithal had once again stumped Ar´oa, leaving him with absolutely no idea how to continue the conversation without taking a large pause to get himself together.

"I thought that you were perhaps a spirit, but I am not sure now, and neither are you." An uncharacteristically direct way of speaking, but it had given him permission to do so. "And because of that, I wanted to know if you had any knowledge that could assist me." R could boast about his libraries all he wanted, but at the end of the day curses were a chiefly spiritual matter. His reluctance to seek out help was also a matter of pride, not wanting others to rob his burden from him.

"You shouldn´t apologize for being excited. There is nothing in this sanctuary that isn´t, on some level, different." Mirithal´s constantly changing form had proved to be a struggle for Ar´oa to ignore while speaking. Even if Mirithal was unsure of what it was, that didn´t mean it couldn´t bear some relation to what he was planning to study.

He repositioned his long legs to face it more directly. "There is a curse that surrounds my clan and I, one that I wish to know if you can detect upon the moment I step outside The Sanctuary." Despite Mirithal being oblivious to many things that other races would take for granted, it was worth an attempt to at least ask.

Norton

Norton felt overwhelmed by the chaos that began to manifest throughout the tavern and found himself gripping his sword tightly enough to turn the tips of his knuckles white. His teachings from fellow worshipers of the goddess of order rang clearly in his head, compelling him to act.

His eyes focused on the plainsman. "By the teachings of Lumen, settle down with your disorder." commanded Norton, suddenly regaining the courage to resume being the same stickler for rules he always was. He didn´t care that they were outnumbered, mainly out of a strong sense of faith. Tristan offering to fight alongside him furthered his beliefs that this had been meant to happen. He turned to Tristan and acknowledged the knight, convinced by his armor alone that he could be trusted. "I don´t approve of this conflict, but I will fight alongside you if it means approaching a more just conclusion!"

Norton

Norton sat on a table near the edge of the Cracked Tankard, eyeing his drink with much scrutiny. In truth, he was ruminating about what he wanted to seek in this town. The good deeds he had accomplished in his previous months as a squire tossed out into the world had been disappointingly minor, though he worshiped the goddess of order and thinking of it like that was questionable. All he had to show for himself was light armor with some scrapes to it and no money. He hoped that this ale would at least have been a worthwhile purchase, seeing as the men outside of his order seemed to treat the beverage as a deity.

He took a hearty gulp. Norton was no stranger to ale, but the kind he drank when training alongside his superiors was watered down and awful. His eyes widened in frustration as the drink struggled to remain in his stomach. This wasn´t watered down and awful, it was in fact amazing! He could tell some parts of the creation process were probably less than pleasant, but he furrowed his brows, gaining a further understanding of the outside world.

Around him the tension had begun to rise with all of the warriors present, many of them tightening their weapons or spitting in displays of bravado. If disorderly conduct were to happen here I´m unsure if my lone strength would be enough but... Lumen... if this is what you have sent me here to act upon, then I am not truly alone. He tightened the grip on his weapon as well, so lost in thought that he hadn´t considered others noticing.

Not sure if this conflicts with the lore you have in mind. I´ll happily make changes if so.

Name: Norton Stahlder

Appearance: A fairly short man with sharp features, Norton´s appearance is clean and blunt in accordance with his title of squire. His expressive amber eyes betray his intentions during conversations, and are framed by pinewood colored hair and light scarring. His general appearance is youthful yet reveals a man with experience and a strong fighting spirit. He is in his early twenties and has an athletic, lean body.

Personality: Norton is fiercely devoted the goddess of order Lumen, and fights for her honor under the command of veteran knights. Satisfied with his initial victories in battle under their guidance, they have now cast him out into the world in the hopes of further molding him into the ideal warrior. Because of the heavy amount of pressure on him he possesses an insecurity of his combat skills and an eagerness to prove himself. Norton believes that Lumen is always watching, so he attempts to always take the high road. He gets angered very easily though, and is quite the worrywart. The results are... interesting.

Irvine didn´t like Roman. From the beginning of their gathering he had begun to see glimmers of contempt and judgement forming within the mans tired eyes, and he didn´t like it one bit. His art was a misunderstood one, with dozens of critics ready to leap at him like street animals the second another body would go missing. He could already imagine the multitudes of pairs of eyes within the room turning on him at the mention of an unsettling medic being stuck with them, pointing, glaring, judging. His paranoid thoughts were bested by delusion as they always were, however. He reasoned that just because they were unable to appreciate the human form like him didn´t mean that they would be unable to develop some sort of relationship working together. Except Mendirr, perhaps.

In his past Irvine had worked as a healer for hire, often clashing with his party members over his reluctance to use healing magic rooted in what they perceived as insanity. Mendirr´s confident demeanor had sparked an alertness from Irvine, as he was a stark contrast to the medic´s blatant insecurities. He brushed the feeling off for now.

"Does this mean I´m cleared of you and the district´s suspicion?" he asked, in a manner perhaps more bitter than intended. He put people back together again, not the opposite, for the sake of the gods! Yet every time another would go missing he could feel the tension between him and the rest of the town rise.

"Also..." he said, ponderously, "What are this Brax fellow´s whereabouts?"

Mirithal´s words struck Ar´oa with the velocity and precision of an arrow. It, or rather her, spoke with the tone of someone who meant no harm in their words, only expressing a sense of tranquility. It was a common facade for Ar'oa's people. Yet this was no anubis, nor a regular sentient being. It seemed that Mirithal's wonder had never stopped finding new ways to bewilder and excite him.

"You are able to transform yourself at will?" he asked, his curiosity dripping through the cracks of his stoic behavior. "That reminds me of the spirits I would encounter in my homeland."

His ears perked up slightly. The voices of his elders once again snarled warnings from within his mind at his irresponsible displays of emotion. He ignored them entirely. This was one of his goals, to satisfy his intense curiosity. No clan members were around to scold him for pivoting towards a surprise conversation and he intended to take complete advantage of that.

"I have lived a life far away from the flora that many take for granted, and I am currently unaware of how to speak with you in a manner your culture could deem appropriate." His dark eyes bored through Mirithal's features like sunbeams, alight with a passion and a need to illuminate the dark. "Yes, I am cautious, but I feel as if it is rather obvious why. Please tell me about yourself."

The inquiring tone that very briefly pulsed through his words was reminiscent of how one appropriately behaved around spirits, dancing around their wordplay and making the unpredictability mutual. It was born from habit and unintentional, yet he could feel a small kick of adrenaline beating steadily. He thought of Mirithal some more and realized that perhaps... it could assist him with his mission?

AMERICA´S FIRST IDOL UNIVERSITY OPENS AMIDST CONTROVERSY

April 1, 2025

Idols, despite their quiet start amidst the urban pockets of Japan in the late eighties, have now grown into a worldwide phenomenon and show no signs of stopping anytime soon. Nowadays it´s common to see them all across film, television, games and books, faces covered in smiles and gleaming with light. It´s no wonder then that idol academies in Japan have cropped up all over the country.

It´s no secret that idol groups outside of Japan don´t last long, so the idea of a fully functioning academy anywhere but Japan sounds like complete fantasy. So why has one been founded in the United States? Now retired musician Bruce "Silver Lightning" Seagal admits that the inspiration behind the creation of Starlight Academy came to him from his heart rather than his mind. In several of his past interviews with other news outlets Seagal has admitted that even he isn´t sure what´s been making him so confident in his vision. His career back in the day was the typical rags to riches story of a solo performer attaining the status of musical legend, and because he spent years afterwards in the shadows as a singing coach, even his status as the academy´s director is hard to wrap our heads around. Joining him are a panel of experts of everything entertainment, from dancing to costume design to singing to acting, employed with the sole purpose of creating the best and brightest generation of international idols.

“I mean, at the end of the day you could say that I´m a bit of a free spirit. But an idiot? No way. Of course we needed more professionals.” He stated, in his latest interview with Akiba Online. Starlight Academy´s determination to not only survive, but thrive has made it go as far as establishing a committed exchange program dedicated to transplanting up and comers from Japan itself, all in a bid to boost its numbers and hopefully win the favor of fans worldwide.

“These Japanese kids that are coming in, good kids, all of them. I don´t know what they´re teaching them over there in Japan, but their English is so good it´s scary.” Seagal then went on to explain that one of them had even corrected him over a spelling error in a text message. “I tell you man, we got nothing but the best of the best.”

Among the wild speculation and bewildered praise for the Academy´s plans for the future are critics that are just as passionate to tear it down. Criticisms over the school´s lack of formal academia are rampant, with many going as far as calling it a scam or a complete waste of money. Kento notes that he´s taken those claims into account, and is confident in being able to prove them wrong in time. Akiba Online, over and out.

Greetings student! Whether by being scouted by one of our many producers, enlisting for our exchange program or even traditionally enrolling, you have been awarded the privilege of attending our ambitious and soon to be prestigious academy. Put together by the legends of the worlds of music and entertainment, we will strive to create the next generation of international superstars that will defy and rewrite what the world expects out of idols. Join us next week on the eighth of April and embark together with us on this heart-pounding, shimmering journey into stardom.

Yours truly,
Bruce Seagal
