The armored tank roared down the residential streets that were alive with the sounds of several troopers fighting AVALANCHE terrorists and corrupted Rovers. Bullets panged off the armor of the vehicle as it sped for the drop-off point behind the barricade and before the District 59 tunnel. There were twenty troopers packed into the back, shoulder-to-shoulder; thigh-to-thigh. Some were crying, praying, and cursing AVALANCHE’s name. Many had in their heads how they didn’t want to die, while others were getting high off the panicked adrenaline flooding through their veins. Sigurd Riot, a guardsman, was smashed in the back with the troopers, frowning in frustration. Common sense would have had the Roboguard unit on the ground by now. Out of all the machines corrupted, it didn’t seem like any of the Roboguards were, but he wasn’t in charge—nor did he know the full details of the situation. As the vehicle neared the tunnel, a light appeared, shining in the darkness of the tunnel. A line of hot rounds screamed from inside it, popping troopers like blood bags and mowing down the unit holding the barricade. A missile was next to escape the tunnel, flying straight into the armored troop vehicle (ATV) and sending it somersaulting in a halo of fire, smoke, and shrapnel onto its back. The tank shattered the asphalt on landing. Troopers hung upside down, dazed and suspended in mid-air by their safety harnesses.

Sigurd slowly awoke from his daze and glanced around the cabin. Smoke was filling the interior, the driver and tank commander were toast. A high-speed trooper had cut himself free of his harness and dropped onto the floor that was once a ceiling.

“Is everybody all right?” he called.

“Get me down!” another trooper groaned.

While Sigurd was suspended, he could hear the heavy rhythmic footsteps of not a roboguard—it couldn’t have been since they weren’t active. It was a Giga Hunter. @#$!. AVALANCHE managed to get to their Hunters too? The high-speed trooper cut down the other trooper and they started cutting the others down, while checking their radios.

“#@$! Comms are down,” the trooper cursed.

“Are you kidding me?” another trooper exclaimed.

A Trooper lowered the hatch, the metal door whining as it slowly opened revealing the tunnel and the massive hunter that trudged out of it. All the troopers froze at the sight of the colossus stalking toward them like a raptor with four Rovers emerging from the tunnel at its feet and galloping toward them. The Giga Hunter fired another missile and Sigurd muttered, “@#$! me…”

The missile struck the ATV once more. Fire filled the cabin, shrapnel pierced several bodies, and the entire vehicle was thrown once again into the air. Charred bodies and the loose equipment of troopers banged around inside the cabin, killing and injuring several troopers inside. Some bodies were ejected out the open hatch. The stock of a rifle slammed into Sigurd’s cheekbone and cracked it. The pain and the chaos caused by the flipping and rolling vehicle made Sigurd scream until it was over.

Once the vehicle stopped rolling, Sigurd closed his eyes, wincing from his wound and panting deeply, trying to ease his panic. There were more injured troopers this time than in the first attack. Sigurd glanced around at the dangling troopers. Some were dead, while others were crying or working on cutting themselves free. What could they do? If they tried to escape, the Rovers would get them. If they made another move, the Giga Hunter would blast them again until its program confirmed a terminated target.

“@#$! @#$!” a trooper screamed.

“What do we do? What do we do!” another freaked.

“Shut up and don’t move!” Sigurd shouted. “Nobody @#$ing move! If you move, the Hunter will keep attacking us. We just sit and wait for it to go by.”

As soon as Sigurd said that, the ATV shook as a Rover leapt on top of the vehicle and curiously started scanning it. The Troopers fell silent and didn’t move as the Rover continued to walk along the ATV. A second Rover joined it and crouched low, stretching out its four legs until its body and main gun were inches above the street. The machine peered inside the cabin and started to scan. Troopers were shaking in their effort to remain still—$#@!, even Sigurd felt ready to piss his pants. The entire situation sucked. Why hadn’t they just activated the Roboguard!?

Written Description

His complexion is extremely pale, so much so that it often makes him stand out from those around him. The ghostly complexion complements his mako infused eyes, giving him an almost otherworldly appearance.

He has a deceptively slight build, his black clothing hiding a muscled physique beneath. The torso hugging top he wears is covered by a full length cloak that stops just above the heel of his foot. A black hat finishes his attire, blending in with the rest of his gear.

Hidden behind his lips are a set of elongated canine teeth, a side effect of being imbued with the DNA of Anima. From his lips comes a voice that is both intelligent and menacing, a bass note that is filled with authority.

Personality

Caius is a determined character, entirely focussed on his mission from planning until completion. This determination is what got him to 1st Class, making him stand out from the others at his earlier grades. Outside of operations he takes in the world around him, exploring and learning all he can. He seeks to expand his horizons and knowledge in whatever way he can.

He is a merciful individual and that is what endears him to his fans. He always provides his enemies with an out before he begins. Those who accept are allowed to walk free, those who don't...die. He would prefer the worlds problems be solved through diplomacy but is not so naive to think that's possible. His long term goal is peace in the world and he realises that his skills must be used to make that a reality.

Background

He was born and raised in the slums of Midgar by his mother, never knowing his father. His mother worked in the Honey Bee Inn as one of the "main attractions", but it wasn't until he grew older that Caius understood the sacrifice his mother made to try and provide for him. Mountains of books and enough food to keep him healthy, Caius' youth was filled with reading the history of the world.

During his teenage years his mother fell ill, eventually succumbing to her illness six months later. The time that followed was hard for Caius, she was his world and now he was alone. He wandered the slums for a few days before he came across the train station. A uniformed Shinra soldier stood on the platform proclaiming wealth, fame and the chance to make a real difference awaited aboard the train. Caius boarded the train to his future.

Caius achieved SOLDIER 3rd class with ease and achieved 2nd class with little more effort. He stagnated at 2nd class for a while, his honest and sometimes blunt approach upsetting his superiors and thus stalling his progress. It wasn't to be completely stopped however, he finally achieved SOLDIER 1st class after the Wutai War. (Your character does not need to have gone through all the ranks to reach Rank 1. SOLDIER 1st Class is not a promotable rank. You either possess the skills to be a First Class SOLDIER or you don't. Therefore, most SOLDIERs will finish out their careers as either 3rd Class SOLDIERS or 2nd Class SOLDIERs. If he was a 2nd Class SOLDIER, then he was a commander of SOLDIERs beneath him and Shinra Troops. This rank is only given to those SOLDIERs who possess leadership potential. Otherwise, a SOLDIER can just be 3rd Class their entire career. So you can go Shinra Troop to 1st Class SOLDIER, 3rd Class to 1st Class SOLDIER, or 2nd Class to 1st Class SOLDIER, as long as the character possesses the necessary qualities. So in the end, you need to change in your character's background the implication that he could have been promoted to it. If the character possessed the skills of a SOLDIER First Class, then the superior's and how they feel wouldn't matter.)

He was tasked with defending a key road from a potential counter attack. He and those with him were assured the counter attack would not come as the Wutai forces would be too busy defending an assault from Shinra. As it happened, that Shinra assault ended up stalling due to logistical issues. A day after the proposed assault stalled, Wutai learned of Shinra's difficulties and made a move for the road Caius was defending. Over one thousand Wutai troops descended on Caius and the other Shinra troops who totalled 140. The battle lasted for a full night before the Wutai forces retreated. In the aftermath the Shinra soldiers all told the same story of Caius, a fierce warrior, intelligent commander and selfless man. Within a week of the story reaching Midgar, Caius found himself being promoted to SOLDIER 1st class. (There's a bit of background conflict here. If you PM @Double, then you guys can straighten out the Wutai War conflict and the events that went down.)

As time has moved on since his promotion, the increased freedom provided by his rank has meant that his inquisitive mind has exposed some cracks in his loyalty to Shinra. Visiting every corner of the world, speaking to many different people, he saw just how the company affected everyone. He still works for Shinra but ultimately see's it as his best chance to help move the world forward.

(Ultima, Time, Shield, and Enemy Skill. What do these have to do with Anima? Anima's abilities are: Physical attack, Pain, Oblivion, Demi, Dispel. Your "Destruct" selection is suitable, but if you can pick materia a little closer to Anima's abilities (as close as you can get), then that will work.)

The materia you list here is related to the summon you chose. For all characters who have chosen a summon with “Instant Death,” Instant Death will not work on Mini Boss or Boss enemies. They can work on minions since many minions will be cannon fodder, but you cannot one-shot a boss. Sorry. Reference a Final Fantasy wikia to get some ideas for the materia and spells the summon uses. You should not have more than 5 skills here.

Limit Break

Blade of Blood: Caius plants his sword into the ground in front of him before clasping his hands together in front of his chest. Loose debris around him begins to elevate as a black aura begins to envelope the blade of his sword. Caius reaches out grabbing the sword, the aura then covering his body. No light penetrates the aura other than the a pair of red eyes from where's Caius' would be. He removes the sword from the ground as an otherworldly roar emanates from the heavens. Then in a blink he charges forward attacking all of his enemies. The aura lasts for ten strikes before dissipating. Against standard enemies there is a chance for instant death. Attacks are non-elemental.

(What is the chance of an Instant Death? Because then you can roll a dice to determine it's success. You also need to commit this limit break to either a "single enemy" attack or a "multiple enemy" attack. Once you commit it, you can't use it in game for a single or a multiple, interchanging it depending on whatever situation.)

Her eyes are stunning Hazel that seems to appear green in the right light.

Physical Description:
At first look, Sticks looks like any other Turk, but Sticks carries herself with a grace and class that many don’t. She is taller than average and has an athletic physique. She is not often seen out of her Turk Suit, often preferring to wear it even when off duty. She adds a little flare by always wearing a black and white Fedora. On the very rare occasion that she is forced to wear something more formal she prefers to wear a white blouse with a black pencil skirt. Unseen by many Sticks has several scars along her arms, legs, and back. She also has a tattoo of her Brother Kai’s name on the inside of her right wrist.

Personality:
Sticks is quiet and reserved. She has a strongly-felt internal sense of duty, which leads her to have a serious air and the motivation to follow through on tasks. She is organized and methodical. She is very loyal, faithful, and dependable especially with her family. While she generally takes things very seriously, she can have an offbeat sense humor.

Background:
Sticks is the middle child and only girl of two moderately wealthy parents. Her father held a high ranked position within the Shinra Electric Power Company, which afforded them the ability to live on the Upperplate of Midgar City. Her mother stayed home to care for her and her two brothers. Her father would pass away due to a heart attack away 6 years ago. It had always been her father dream to see each of his children take on a position in The Shinra Electric Power Company and in honoring his memory, all of them did. Her oldest brother, Hero, joined the Shinra Troops. However, due to an injury, he was discharged. He would then open a Dojo in Sector 6 and teach Sticks the Martial Arts of Arnis. Sticks then would be recruited by the Turks. Sticks’ ruthless determination would quickly see her rise through the ranks to second in command. Her youngest brother, Kai, would go on to be Soldier 1st Class. Unfortunately, He would be killed just 2 years ago during an operation to take out a suspected AVALANCHE Cell. The same operation would also see the death of the Turk leader, Jax. Furious that she had lost both her brother and a colleague to the Terrorist group AVALANCHE, she was egger to pick up the Mantle of Leader. She has made a solemn vow to see the end of them by any means necessary.

Weapon:
As her name suggests her weapons of choice are a pair of wooden “sticks” used in combination with martial arts.

• Haste ( gives lighting reflexes for 18 seconds)
• Slow ( suddenly feeling sluggish for 18 seconds)
• Stop ( cannot move for 10 seconds)

Restore (Lvl 2)

• Cure 1( self)
• Cure 2 ( group) (You can't heal the group unless you have an "All" materia)

Contain (Lvl 3)

• Freeze (A debilitating chill comes over the target that can potentially stop them in their tracks.)
• Break (The Earth bubbles up from the ground and incases target in magical stone with a chance that the target will be petrified for several hours, effectively taking them out of the fight.)
• Tornado (Gale force winds pick up Target, spin them about violently, and drop them. There is a good chance target will become confused)

Limit Break:

Heavenly 6-
Sticks strikes in a whirlwind of movement that was drilled into her from her early years as a Martial Arts student. Heavenly 6 is a six-strike drill where all the strikes are done up high; 3 strikes coming from the right side and 3 from the left side. The sequence is as follows, right stick is swung out and through to left shoulder, left stick is swung out to the head and through to the left shoulder, the right stick goes out in a back-fist and back to the left armpit.The sequence is then repeated from the other side. (Be sure to state that this Limit Break only affects single targets)
