I am, I've just had some real life problems crop up. Mostly sorted now.
Again, still here and willing to continue.
Tina decided that after her hard work on advertising her family's store, she deserved a meal to fill her stomach. She stamped on her board and picked it up before she pushed her way into the store, looking back at the bus with a confused quirk of her brow. She could have sworn she saw something but there was nothing out of the ordinary. Aside from the removed bus wheels, that is. She could only shrug and walk into the KFT, passing by the man on the floor and the woman with the camera to walk up to the counter. The man working there greeted her and she ordered a burger meal which arrived in short order. Tina resolved to take a window seat and set her board on the floor to place her feet on. As she dug into her burger, she looked out the window into the street and the world beyond, and swore she saw a shape move between two trees. It was still hard for her to get used to the weird feeling she got from the town, but she was beginning to expect a bit of weirdness given its reputation. A dark shape swooped just outside of her peripheral vision. She bit into her burger. Must have been a bird. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Roland clung to the limb of the tree, he had moved further into the town, but he knew he shouldn't be here. He could feel the prospect of being seen slowly becoming more and more likely. Swooping out of the tree to grab the colourful piece of bread the young girl had dropped was even riskier, but he looked beforehand to check if anyone was watching it and saw that no one had noticed. None save for the little girl. She saw him in his entirety, and like the idiot he is, he waved. She returned it, but in a panic he quickly fled back into the tree-line. That was not a good idea at all. He examined the piece of colourful, sweet-smelling bread closely. It was strange and spongy, and had some sort of paper covering on its sides and bottom. Some of the multi-coloured coating was stuck to his long finger as he pulled his hand away, was this some kind of defence mechanism? It was sweet-smelling as well. How strange. With a crack of his bifurcated jaw and a whip of his tongue, he discovered that this thing tasted delicious, and began eating it in its entirety. It wasn't poison at all.
Molly looked up at the nurse lazily and smiled, lifting her arm to throw a thumbs up. She paused for a moment and felt as her eye widened. "W-wwww-wait, we gotta c-cut my hair?" In her dazed state, she managed to pout and bring her arms to her stomach, feeling the length of her magnificent hair beneath her. She was practically sitting on it, it had been with her for so long. She then sighed as she remembered how many times she had been thrown around by it or pulled into the ground by it, and nodded solemnly. She loved her hair, but it seemed to be a sound strategy to cut it shorter as well as allowing the nurse to get a closer look at her wound. "Go ahead 'nd do whatcha gotta..." She said to both the nurse and Dimitri, flashing a sluggish smile and wincing as she felt a sharp pain in her neck and skull. She then looked to Ryan's statistical rambling with a tired grimace, "Don'tcha have lunch to eat or somethin'? Instead of makin' my headache worse with alluh these numbers 'n' crap?" She clutched her forehead before wiping the blood from her eye enough to finally have both open. She held out a hand, covered with red, and seemed to gesture to Dimitri for a cloth with which to wash her face, "Help a sister out here?"
Priscilla fell into a roll as the ent's knobbed arm came soaring at her, and felt it skim the back of her platemail. Mud and grime filled her ears and splashed onto her face, as she felt it seep past her armor and onto her body beneath the armour. She put her shield on her back once more, knowing that she would not be able to block a blow from this creature without incurring some sort of collateral damage. As the beast reeled from the momentum of its swing, she pushed to her feet and jumped at it, swinging Verschlinger in a wide, advancing arc and feeling it bite into the bark of the ent's leg. She yelled as she wrenched Verschlinger from the ent and rolled under another blow, looking to swing once more in the same place. "Fell the beast! First, stymie its movement and then we will cull it!"
I would definitely like to continue in some fashion, not ready to just let it die.
Might be cool.
As they entered the medbay, Molly groaned and practically flopped down on the nearest bed like a breathless trout. Her hammer followed her down and seemed to take up a position at the foot of the bed. She looked around slowly, lone eye wandering around the room as her face softened. She felt very tired and very dizzy, but she knew that she couldn't let herself fall asleep. She looked to Dimitri and threw up a slow thumbs-up, "Than's f'that bud. S'a great way t' make up f' brainin' me." She could only let out a weak laugh before groaning from the pain and nausea. "There a nurse or... I dunno. A nurse?"
Priscilla sloshed and pushed through the murky waters that covered the swamp floor with practised effort. Every now and then she would poke at the ground with her blade to check if it would hold fast beneath her foot. She could only grumble and groan as she cut a path through the dank undergrowth and damp foliage, looking back occasionally to check on her comrades, making sure the swamp had not swallowed them up. She did not like this place, these waters were impure and still. The water god did not dwell in these parts, these were the lands of earth and mud. Though she knew that the swamp was merely that, a swamp, she still felt in necessary to be wary for who knew what could be dwelling in the depths and dark hollows. She turned back to look at the others and smiled, "Tis not exactly a field of daffodils is it?" She chuckled heartily as she pulled herself to a nearby bank from the water, inspecting her platemail with a disgusted grimace. "Let us try to stick to the drier land as much as we can. My plate will rust before we even get there at this rate." Her grimace turned to a look of surprise as she heard the sounds of splintering wood and rustling leaves coming from nearby. A great roar of oaken fury went up at a great tree creature emerged from the brush and advanced upon them, wasting no time at all. "To arms, friends! An enraged ent approaches!" She drew up her shield, held her blade out to the side and whispered a silent prayer to the water god as she saw the ent advance, preparing to dive away should it swipe.
Molly lets out a groan and balances her weight between Dimitri and her hammer. Her head was still swimming and she felt as if her brain was leaking into her back and shoulders, feeling the warmth leave her head and trickle out into the open air. Dimitri spoke to her, and only because he was so close could she hear him clearly. His voice was a warbling, muted mess but she could make out the words clearly enough.
""May"? You definitely need to see a medic of some sort. I'm really sorry 'bout the headbutt. It was a heat of the moment thing, y'know battle rage going and, well, sorry."
She lazily rolled her head and waved a hand. "Don' worry 'bout it, i's my faul'd for turnin' m' back an' gettin' caught up with jus' one opponent. Y' ain't done nothin' wrong. Wat'r unduh th' bridge." Try as she might have to nudge him in the side, she only succeeded in flapping in her arm in his general direction. It really was a pathetic display. But through her one eye, she caught a figure coming up to them and could hear the warped hums of speech through the ringing in her ears. As she stepped shakily, she tried to focus her hearing and discern something from what he was saying.
Ryan confirmed inked walking down the hallway when he saw Dimitri and Molly walking down the hallway. He put on his metaphorical mask of bliss and walked near them. "You guys got your asses handed to you." He stated simply. "True." Ryan replied. "I find pain is a good motivator. You tend to get better when you feel pain. You know why? You get better so you can avoid that pain." Ryan explained as took out a hand held mirror and observed himself. "Pain motivated me to become one of the deadliest weapon weilders in the world."
She grit her teeth weakly as he gloated, trying to stare a hole through him with the one eye that wasn't glued together by blood. "Yeah'n a lotta good that didja. All ya did was stand there." She rolled her head with a groan and looked back up, "Why y' gotta gloat over'n injured gal, huh? That ain't cool..."
