The sun is shining, the birds are singing, there's a few white fluffy clouds in the sky. I am closing the curtains and going back to bed.

Bio

I live somewhere in the wilds of East London with a couple of friends, a pet rat and a collection of RPG books that is slowly consuming our house. I've suggested possibly getting rid of some of them, but it's pretty much got to the point where the books are the only thing keeping the building upright and if I move any of them the whole thing could come crashing down.

In terms of games - well, I'll consider anything, except that. As can probably be gathered from my posts, I find myself generally playing characters that let me bit a little bit light-hearted. I am reasonably certain that I can play serious characters, but I know that getting to post things which makes me chuckle as I write them keeps me far more engaged. I like fandom-y things (because I can't, apparently, still get enough Undertale, Adventure Time and various Nintendo stuff, good job brain), and non-fandom-y things, and will one day get around to rebooting a RP I'd made on here seven years ago.

Rarely will anyone find Baebii smiling... save for when she cooing in absolute adoration in the company of the giant grub, Res.

...!

Upon further reading, I would like to add:

!!!
Does that mean they breed even faster? Or is it just louder, with a much of mechanical whirring and wheezing. Because neither of those outcomes sound particularly appealing in an enclosed space.

Faster.

Which also probably means louder too.

And in an increasingly more enclosed space, now I start to worry think about it.
20 crew... Of what size? 20 huge spaghetti monsters, or 20 tiny rabbit-cyborgs?

Rabbit cyborgs need a lot of room to roam, plus there's the whole issue of engineering bay space required for performing the maintenance required to keep their robotic parts in good working order. Not to mention the fact that tiny rabbit cyborgs have a tendency to breed like, well, tiny augmented rabbits.
@Hylozoist Hmm personally I feel like Valk has only been around a few months, but his noteriety preceeds him amongst at least part of the crew, and his personality would bring him to the attention of many others.

I could be wrong, but I recall reading that the Nova Dawn was designed to support a crew of less than twenty (I would go back and check this, but my tablet is playing "Chrome is not responding. Do you want to close it?" chicken with me every ninety seconds, which makes trying to go through a thread a needlessly exciting experience), so it'd seem likely to me that if he's been on the ship for a few months, everyone will know him first hand!

Or, in the case of crew members without hands, they're free to substitute "hand" for their appendage of choice.
Side note I'm very curious to find out how everyone else interacts with Valk. This will be very interesting.

This had me thinking about how long people had been on the Nova Dawn and the like; has everyone been on board for a while and generally knows about each other fairly well, is it a mix of brand new crew and old hands on a per-character basis, or is (and this would probably be kind of worrying) everyone basically new to the ship?

There's obvious drawbacks and benefits to whichever option @Dead Cruiser goes for, and it goes without saying that I'm a-okay with any of them, or some other way that I hadn't considered, but it'd be nice to know. I wouldn't want to assume one way and have it be the other ("Why are you acting like this is the first time you've seen a three foot tall fuzzy killing machine?") and throw people off their groove.

I probably should've asked this when we were at the "so, any questions?" phase of the Interest Check. Whoops.
And you know what else? Apparently that really nice Nigerian prince guy who offered me a portion of his wealth in exchange for temporary use of my bank account was a scam. I didn't know people lied on the Internet. I was shocked to say the least.

There's a reason why the map in Crusader Kings 2 doesn't go as far south into Africa as Nigeria, and that's because (judging from the emails I've received over the years), there are so many Nigerian Princes that the game simply wouldn't be able to handle it.

Also, sorry about the delay folks, I've been using my tablet to check the site this week (my battered old Asus thing that takes ten minutes to successfully load up a page with Chrome), which doesn't make writing and editing big posts particularly easy. I should have time on Thursday and Friday this week to actually sit down at my desk and get to writing.
Everyone is taking about pilots and popcorn and im just sitting here making a carnivorous little bat dog that has sharing problems.

Would you describe the bat dog as hot? Inquiring minds need to know.
Ain't no better tasting popcorn than stolen popcorn.

"Stolen Popcorn" will be on the dessert menu now.

You may have questions, such as "stolen from where?", "what's in this buttery sauce?" and "why does my pancreas ache after eating these?". Fortunately, these questions and most others can be handled with one simple answer - you really don't want to know.
Not even doing any kitchen related activities, just jumping!

Hold on a second.

Are you meaning to tell me that jumping around in the kitchen isn't a kitchen related activity?
