Name: Sigma
Race: Elrudian - Elrudians are an advanced race of beings composed entirely of both energy and data often compared to that of sentient artificial intelligence. They do not have a physical form that is tangible though they often will manifest themselves into a bipedal, humanoid figure that completely lacks any recognizable features. The average Elrudian lifespan is speculated to be infinite, but they deteriorate massively if they obtain too much corrupt data that eventually results in them 'expiring'. One unique trait that the Elrudians possess however is to channel their corporeal bodies into a mechanical husk or shell, allowing them to take residence within them and control it. Though the Elrudians are of a rather advanced species, the Elrudians seem incapable of taking control of mechanical constructs already being operated by advanced constructs. Elrudians often adopt the technology of other species, seeking ways to improve them and are not often prone to violent tendencies as other species are, though significant data corruption to them can create exceptions to that. They communicate on an interstellar level, a voice among millions, much like a hive yet retaining their unique individuality.
Age: Eight hundred years old
Gender: Male
Appearance:Mechanical Husk - Sigma's unique mechanical husk is his physical form that he takes residence in and manipulates to interact with the physical world. His husk stands at eight feet tall, in the form of a bipedal slender robot. The husk has a body similar to that of a humanoid's body structure, making it have a relatively flexible range of motion. The husk is made of a sturdy material, making it resistant to most bullet based ammunition that are not armor piercing. It is able to magnetize itself to metal surfaces, making it effective for operating outside of ships.
Homeworld: Svante Prime - The Elrudian homeworld is a massive dyson sphere around the system's sun. This structure helps to produce new Elrudians as well as housing a majority of the Elrudian's communication arrays that allow for interstellar communication among members or their species. The power of the sun that the dyson sphere is constructed from is channeled into mechanical husks that serve as surrogates for new Elrudians to learn and grow from before casting them off like metaphorical cocoons.
Equipment:Repulsion Field Generator [Left Forearm Housing] - By channeling the energy from which he is composed of, Sigma is able to project a portion of a spherical barrier in a one hundred and eighty degree field of where his outstretched palm is facing. The barrier can be extended to a twenty foot range but only covers a size that varies with the person it is projected in front of either himself or the target he is placing the repulsion field. The repulsion field functions like a solid barrier, stopping bullets and other forms of physical ammunition dead in the air. He is able to redirect the shots back the way they came at twice their original velocity. If the field is disengaged, the bullets will simply just fall to the ground.
Energy based attacks however are effective in creating 'holes' in the barrier by dissipating it and immense physical force applied to the barrier will effectively 'shatter' it. Though the barrier is able to be put up instantaneously, Sigma is only able to place a barrier if he is able to anticipate an attack and react in time by raising his hand to activate it. Each barrier only lasts for no more than twenty seconds before dissipating, and have a cooldown of at least thirty seconds between uses. Sigma can bypass this cooldown, though it has an impact on his corporeal form, 'exhausting' him massively in order to discourage him from overworking himself.
Plasma Generator [Right Forearm Housing] - Sigma is able to channel his energy into superheated plasma that can be shaped into a blade. He is also able to create a condensed orb and lob it like a baseball. The condensed plasma detonates with an equivalence to a small explosive, vaporizing most physical matter caught in its radius though takes considerable time to recharge after firing one off.
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Role: Boarding Party (Support)
Skills:Sigma's greatest strength lies in his ability to defend and protect using the capabilities of his mechanical husk. Though his species is not openly engaged in the practice of combat, Sigma's independent journeys across the universe have changed that. Through observation of other species he has adopted methods of combat that would be able to fully utilize traits of his species as energy based beings. His speed and agility along with the raw strength provided by his husk are most noted, though he lacks in endurance when not using his defensive capabilities.
History:The Elrudian known as Sigma was brought into the universe on Svante Prime, a minuscule portion of the sun's power being used to breathe life into the sentient form of energy. Sigma spent the first few hundred years of his existence on the dyson sphere, as a regular member of its society which monitored communications and cataloged all data that Elrudians throughout the universe had collected. For five hundred years, Sigma existed as an archivist that spent his days organizing the data.
His time as an archivist would have come to inspire what other species would call boredom, a glitch trait not often found in most Elrudians. Sigma had long outgrown the desire to be spending his time being an archivist along with a vast majority of his species. He appealed before his species council to go out and explore the universe. With his civil service record as an archivist, the council agreed to authorize his travel as an explorer.
For the next several hundred years, Sigma traveled the stars seeking something to offset the years he spent in relative peace with a husk that he had fashioned for himself. He sought adventure and action to experience. He came to primitive worlds observing their growth and progression, often finding that the species he had found were often in turmoil with one another, a concept that was foreign to him since his species lacked the desire to fight among one another.
His travels eventually led him to more intelligent forms of life, which he studied to great extent. He learned to communicate with these species-
Personality: Sigma like the rest of his species are naturally curious to the universe around them, having an instinctual draw towards learning more about the species they come across; Sigma is no exception to that. Most Elrudians are not prone to violence, but Sigma has found an interest in observing the interactions between species and their reactions to violence. Though he takes no pleasure in actively killing, he does gather a great deal of information from death. Sigma often comes off as distant, typically keeping to himself as he communicates with his species millions of light years away, but he often displays a wide range of emotion, which is often unnerving to those who mistake him for a machine that shouldn't have any actual emotions.
