Think of this mission as kind of like a prologue or training mission. It's a great way to introduce new characters, so establishing characters and what not isn't important yet. Plenty of time.

Anyway, I still have no idea what I'm supposed to do xD What happens with the non-combat crew? Or with the ship, considering they apparently landed in front of a battalion of soldiers who probably have anti-ship weaponry that's 100 years more advanced than the ship itself.
And yes, that'd be a full on disaster... A diabolical disaster xD
