"No, Aya! Don't sacrifice yourself; this guy doesn't have enough honour to respect that! He tricked you the entire time - don't you see?" Valerian was worried that Aya would do something stupid. He didn't really want to lose his family, and this vampire was dangerous.

He thought over the situation quickly in his head, then decided to grab both of Aya's arms and pull her back to prevent her going towards Ferid.
@IceboundMemoire
I just make my character now, right?

Yup! Be sure to post it in the OOC so I can check it first.
Fearsome monsters... Exotic creatures... Vast riches... Hidden Treasures... Evil enclaves... Unexplored lands... The word 'unknown' holds magic. And some incredible people are drawn to that magic. They are known... as Hunters!

Hunters - they are the people who are looked up to in society. The ones who achieve marvellous feats. Everyone dreams of being a Hunter. And now, with the 507th annual Hunter Exam, you have the chance!

Also, this is a Hunter X Hunter roleplay if you didn't realise.

Your Nen, which you will gain sometime during the RP, depends on your personality and Hisoka's Nen test, so if you want a specific type of Nen, be sure to alter your personality in accordance.

Have fun!

How could Ferid be here? It seemed too much of a coincidence that he would have a map... and a gun... and be here. Unless it was planned all along. What would Ferid gain out of this? Crushed hopes? He couldn't kill them; that was against the rules - unless there was a rule that allowed him to do so if they were trying to be free.

But if Ferid had planned it all along, maybe this wasn't even the exit? It was their only chance, however.

"I say we run for it, guys," Valerian whispered to the others. He doubted they'd get out of this without a few scars.

Valerian had stayed silent during the exchanges that had just been had. He had been thinking of what just took place. Something was up. He had initially been pushed into this pattern of thought by Rai's thinking out load, and it didn't make sense. What would a vampire have to gain from saving children from his own kind? No, this was improbably.

One answer could've been that he felt a kinsmanship towards them due to his being recently turned. There was no way of validating this, so it could be crossed off for now. It truly would have been tragic if that was the truth, and would explain why he lost - he would be weaker.

Another answer was that the vampire was some kind of upholder of the law. This was unheard of to Valerian; a vampire who not only followed but also enforced the rules? Not a chance. Thus he crossed this off the list based on his own prejudices.

The final thought that went through Valerian's mind was that this was some form of plot. He wasn't sure what he had to gain from attempting to gain the trust of orphans, so this thought was shelved.

Valerian was stumped. It didn't make any sense.

"Odd." He turned to walk around the T-Rex, ignoring its question. He didn't really care that there was what appeared to be a T-Rex there. He had admired the supposed King of Lizards, until around the age of 7 where he realised there were far bigger, more dangerous dinosaurs that the T-Rex and its puny forearms couldn't possibly match. He wasn't interested in it at all. It did seem out of the ordinary, but what he could do was out of the ordinary, so he had become somewhat desensitised towards what was once impossible. Now it had become improbable.

But that wasn't what he was saying 'Odd' about it. What he thought was odd was the lack of electrical current running through it at all. Thus, he surmised, it had to be a somehow animated carcass of sorts that seemed realistic or something... impossible. It couldn't be the real thing - T-Rex's undoubtedly required nerves to function, so there would at least be some form of electricity running through it. It couldn't be a machine - that would have to run off of electricity. The only logical conclusion was the man he'd just met. He probably had angered him, due to the electric shock. Dustin felt he had no way of explaining the murderous intent he had felt near the man, so he returned to his violent persona.

"Jeremy, was it? Was this you?"

@Lady Athena@Nikki Moonlight@CriticalHit

"Ellie, what did you do?" He had calmed down now and understood he shouldn't have done what he did. Vampires were cruel and it was likely the other orphans would be punished for what he could have done. If Ellie had done something worse they were all in trouble.

"Aya, how far to Ferid's house?"
@CreedTheChimera

"I want to believe you, but I can't. The people who sound the most endearing are often the ones who can't be trusted." He pondered over what he would say next, then sighed. "There's no real reason keeping you there... You probably would've used your powers on me if you could've. I'll let you go, but please, I'm trusting you here, don't head in the direction you're being pulled towards. Just being near someone else like me... it fills me with some murderous intent. The only way to quell it being to calm down. I apologise for my brash attitude. I'll be leaving, now." He would proceed to head down the alleyway he was going to head down before Jeremy interrupted him.
