Desktop profile login won't work. Coincidence that Windows 7 is no longer supported on same day? Consider me doubtful.

I'm having way too much fun with my Legend of Zelda Encylopedia. This is the game that got me into roleplaying so have a lot invested in it's lore and stories. Too bad can't have all the games too.

Well just gotta face the facts I won't be continuing with Mantra. I have the ideas, I know where I want to go and like the concept, but despite all that, I just have no drive to continue the story. Funny since I was really into it at first, especially the concept which was quite unique, but if I don't feel like writing anymore there's no point in pretending I might continue with it.

In the end, I think it just came down to finding it hard to write magic characters and having such a limited pool to work with. If I make another character I think what I need to do is just thoroughly rework a character so I can write my own story but also be able to pull ideas from a much larger source. My previous attempts have been rather too similar to their original incarnations which is probably why I tend to lose steam so easily as it feels more of a rehash than anything else.
@MangraleYa, just do that and you should be golden to put it in the character tab.
Yulen listened as Quinn talked about her own life and how she had arrived with her mentor, which probably meant she was not living with relatives. Yulen couldn't help but think a little about his own mentor who he only got to see every few months. Of course he highly doubted their mentors were anything alike, in fact there was no way in Hyrule they were remotely similar.

He was happy when Quinn took the Cucco from him, no longer would he have to feel its vile feathers in his arms. The Cucco did give him one last, evil glare, before proudly being placed in the pen. Soon enough, Quinn thanked him for his help and asked him another question.

"Oh it was really no bother, happy to capture an escaped convict." He joked and took a last look at the Cucco, which merely ruffled its feathers and started cleaning itself. Looking away form the fowl, he thought about what he had to do after his part-time job. It wasn't something he was really supposed to talk about, but he could at least give her some basics.

"What kind of stuff indeed, well let's just say I'm being trained in the family business, which is why I'm only a part-timer. I'd say what I do after work is about three times more tiring than my paid time! Unfortunately I just really be going-" Yulen was about to say his goodbyes when a large yell could be heard from the entrance to the village on the Death Mountain side.

"PLEASE HELP ME! I'M SO HUNGRY! I NEED SOME ROCK SIRLOIN OR I'M GOING TO DIE!" Yulen turned toward the voice and the concerned voices of the guards floated in the air.

"By the Goddess it's a goron! The first one to show up in four months!"

"That is the skinniest goron I've ever seen, could he actually be starving?"

"Don't they eat rocks? How could he be starving?"

"I'm pretty sure not just any rock will do, crap he just collapsed, hurry and get a stretcher!"

"What are you stupid!? Gorons are literally rock people, he's snap a stretcher like a twig with his weight alone! We'll need to get him on a sled or even just drag him with ropes if we have to!"

What was a starving goron doing here? What in the world was happening on Death Mountain? Yulen cupped one of his ears to try and get a better read on the situation. He'd probably get in trouble for being late but this was something he couldn't ignore.

"Well it was nice meeting you Quinn, I'm going to check out what's going on before I head to my training." With his piece said, Yulen headed over to the gate where the guards were trying to help get the goron into the village. Quite a bit was happening all of a sudden, things were certainly getting more interesting around the village.
@Mangrale The only question I have with the techniques is the Mortal Salvo. Mostly I just want to know to what extent he can control them. Do they have to continually move and he can just bend their path, or is it more like Yamcha's Spirit Ball which he can control freely at will. If they're like Tamcha's spirit ball in degrees of control I feel like 6 at a time would be too many, but if he is just bending their trejectories in flight that's completely fine, even if he does it in different directions.

Other than some clarification on that skill the rest seems fine.
Depends, can you jump back into it? Might take some time to get things back into gear as I haven't thought about this role play in a long time. I'm game if you are.
@IceHeart Since the dragonball wiki considers the Maykyan transformation a form of gigantification, does that count as a technique or a transformation for Burnet?

While it does link to it, I really wouldn't consider it a form of gigantification. You wouldn't exactly call freiza transforming into his second form gigantification and I would put this in that same category. So while for the Namekians they have a technique of gigantification, for a Maykyan this form would be considered a transformation.
@Duthguy Burnet is accepted.
Bump

  • With Magic Materialization being a spell (one of the four available slots), should the weapons I intend to use it for be in the weapons section, or is that just for permanent weapons only?
  • Namekians already have a great deal of established abilities, like regeneration and gigantification. Would it be better to treat them as techniques rather than inherent traits, and what I don't have written down is what he's yet to learn as a namekian? Like: no regeneration unless I have it listed in his cache of techniques. I'm actually fine if that's what you want me to go with, I just want to be sure.

Weapons slot is more for permanent weapons, the main thing is just to include what kinds of weapons he can make and what he is actually good at using. As for regeneration and gigantification, I feel that regeneration is more of a Namekian race trait while giganticifaction is more of a technique. Regeneration more just depends on your ki reserves, so each time you do have to use it, you'll get quite a bit weaker. For Gigantification, there are few instances of Namekian's using that skill, so that would take up one of your ability slots to have.

Regeneration = race trait
Gigantification = technique
Are you open to new bio androids with mixed DNA?

Yes, though you should probably stay away from the absorption mechanic that cell uses as that would feel too cheap of a way to power up.
