Lerraina

Location: On the road, nearing the caravan
Interacting with: Whoever approaches her first ((the caravan group))

The morning sun had been hidden by the thick unforgiving clouds, looking to smother the earth in its overcast. The weather was unrelenting, and had only gotten worse as she continued on, the rain slamming into her as if to beat her down into the ground. Lerraina trudged her way up on the muddy road. Her cloak was clenched tightly around her, the bottom caked with the dark substance as it dragged behind. Normally, she wouldn’t have complained, but this was getting ridiculous. Grumbles and grunts accompanied by slew of colorful words fell from her lips.

Her dark blue cloak was colored a few shades darker, her hood hung low, drops of water dripping from the tip, only adding to the saturation that sat atop her bosom. The veil she would normally have attached, hung to the side, out of fear of suffocation. She held her bow out, ever at the ready. It was more out of habit than caution. But you never knew what could jump out at you.

She’d only stopped at the town for a few days, but there was more than enough to tell her it wasn’t worth the trouble to stick around. But despite that, all she could think of was the nice warm bath she left, the dry bed linens, and fluffed up pillow. She loosed a muffled breath through the layers of cloth that had clung to her. ”I could kick myself for leaving when I did… fucking barkeep, why did I ever trust em’.”

Allowing the trees to give her cover, she kept to the side of the road. Perhaps not just from the rain, but any opposition she might find upon the road. She hadn’t been up this way yet, but she heard stories. She might have been in a foreign land, but she was no stranger to orcs or the damage they could do.

It felt like hours that she had been on the road, staring at the same heap of brown muck that trailed for miles ahead. The only thing to bring her a shred of joy on the agonizingly wet journey was the silence, save for the pitter patter of the rain on her cloak and the sound of her boots sloshing through the dirt road, crushing pebbles and twigs beneath her feet.

But the silence and serene view of an empty road wouldn’t last for long. Lerraina slowed her steps, creeping off the road and in between the trees that lined the beaten path. She ascended on the caravan, and several others that seemed to be guarding it. Any paying attention to their surroundings would have seen a silhouette among the tree line, approaching with caution. She shouldered her bow, hoping not to stir any suspicions. Her head still ached from the three rounds of drinks the night before, the last thing she wanted was confrontation.

Quickly … say something before they draw their weapons on you … ”Need an extra hand there?” her voice carried over through the rain.
@The Harbinger of Ferocity hehe I'm confident they'll find a way to work it out :p

Looking at it from Izzy's point of view, and don't worry, if pushed enough, she will make it known, she's done nothing wrong here. And she's being bitched at like a child and asked to explain herself to someone who hasn't yet earned her respect, and someone who she feels she owes no explanation to :p And being in such a dark and open environment, escape is a viable option lol
tee he he he. She's a bitch like that, besides, she has more important things on her mind, like finding the amulet :p She answered her question though @The Harbinger of Ferocity
She took one step further in the rubble before stopping with an audible sigh. The rain was crawling to a halt and by this time seemed only a light drizzle. She pulled down her hood and stared up at the beast woman, her face twisted in contemplation.

"Well ... it all started on a sunny aftertoon in the town of Waeldeshore ...", her words dripped with sarcasm and a smirk tugged at the edge of her lips. But for only just a moment. "What is it that you're looking for? What do you want me to say? Do you want me to tell you how many years ago we had acquired that very stone for your dear hostess.", she pointed to the prize Ajax held onto proudly."And how it corrupted her, and turned her soul green with envy, black with greed and a bottomless appetite to feed. She had sent me to find the third and final key. It started out as a wild goose chase. But I found it alright. And when I returned to share my findings, she nearly cut me in two. So when I refused any additional information, I was a guest in her dungeons for days ... until I was able to escape of course. I seek to destroy the damn things, but it turns out, it is not as easy as one might think. And when the wench decides to gather a group to take back what I had stolen, well, apparently I'm supposed to just sit back and let you come and kill me."

She turned once more, returning to her search for the artifact. "I do hope that is a sufficient explanation, if not, I'm not sure what else to tell you. The demons do exist, and they are certainly a nasty bunch. But the theory is that if we are able to destroy the stones, it will eliminate any passage between realms. So once we eliminate the demons, there is no coming back.", she continued to ramble on while sifting through the ruins. "But when" she grunted, the color draining from her as she used whatever strength she had left to lift the stones in her way, "does anything go as planned"

She glanced up, her eyes resting on the beast woman for a moment, noting any reaction, then turned to Ajax. "Hey handsome, you mind helping me with this? It seems my friend dropped his amulet on his way out. I would like very much to give it back to him, but I can't seem to get it with all of this in my way." She leaned on a nearby boulder, exhausted, she claimed defeat in the battle against the immovable object.

@vietmyke @Zero Hex @ArenaSnow @Belwicket @Jon Y @The Harbinger of Ferocity
I believe those 3 only, aside from me. I have errands to run after work today. But I will have a post up within this evening. I have to have it up, as I will not be around this weekend. Nerd fest time!
@Belwicket ooookay, is there any particular reason that she is sleeping like that? Exhaustion due to?

It seems a bit out of place for me. Care to share your thought process on that?
@Lady Amalthea gotcha! :) I have an idea for an opening post, started working on bits and pieces, will certainly have it up before the weekend as come Saturday, I will be indisposed due to MegaCon :p
I will try to get something up today. Whether or not I am able to, everyone else is more than welcome to post something.

@Belwicket, I know Regina fell asleep, but in the time since she got out of the house, it has collapsed. There was always the possibility she could be woken :p

@Jon Y,@vietmyke you both as well if you would like to post.
