Can Gideon's cover be 'rich idiot with no day job'? Not only would that make sense for his backstory and explain his idleness well, it would also allow me to fulfill my secret desire to play Batman.

And yeah, Dark Souls 3 has been ravaging me lately. My strength/pyromancy build is making slow, yet steady progress; I think I'm about halfway through.

I've been tweaking my sheet pretty much this whole time. Nothing major, history is the same, just added more trivia and added more to personality and appearance. I am overall pretty happy wit her and I want to flesh her out more as we go on.

As for job, I am unsure of where to put her.

I am also up for talking about current relationships. Be warned, Blair would NOT warm up to anyone in a short amount of time, so if anyone thinks negatively of her, that's fair, because she probably deserved it.

Cool, I'll make a note to go read that when it's not almost 1:30 AM lol. The job isn't hugely important, it's just a cover gig in between missions. It's honestly not even a huge part of the story at first due to the situation. You'll have plenty of time to figure it out.

That's fair as long as she does open up at some point. You have to remember that they've known each other for three years at the start of the roleplay. In character, that's a lot of time that has passed. It almost wouldn't make sense for her to still distrust everyone when they've gone on countless missions together at that point. Personal details are a whole different story, but she should have at least a business comfort level of association around them considering.

@Samara - Yeah, that person has yet to put their sheet into the character tab so I can hyperlink it. I've already spoken with them over PM though and they were a bit busy tonight with some prior engagements so their sheet should be up tomorrow.

I like the idea of working out a few relationship quirks before the RP, but I don't have any ideas off hand, especially since my character is so private. I think Mirany should be the one you know least about. ;)

Well, the relationship quirks don't necessarily mean showing your hand and revealing all your history. Just simple things like if Mirany and Nero were to have some specific running in-joke or something lol.

@Viciousmarrow - I get that for sure hahaha. I didn't get my systems at the same time. I got a PS4 first because I've always been a console guy and I built my computer slowly over time.

Okay so this filled amazingly fast. I'm honestly shocked at the reception and how fast edits and revisions went for people as well. I figured we'd have a submission period for a few days at least, but then again it was only going to be six members too. Well, in any case.

To start with, the roleplay will begin tomorrow evening (Thursday, since I'm US Eastern Standard Time). Since the cast is filled I see no reason to prolong the beginning of the story.

Next, the magic system. Full detail will be in the character tab in the first post, but I will explain it a bit right here as well. As was stated in the OP, magic is able to be wielded by those that are branded. The members of the Kingsglaive are branded individuals and the only ones known to be branded on the world of Azalea. Their existence was, and is, kept a secret because the president of Algareth and his inner circle do not know how the general society would react to the truth of the brands legend. Each Kingsglaive member has an affinity for a specific element of magic. This affinity corresponds to the type of magic they use, as you've no doubt put together. What is different about this however, is they cannot manipulate the elements they have an affinity for to their liking. Each member is able to conjure and cast spells specific to the element they have an affinity for.

The section I place in the character tab will have a list of spells corresponding to each element. You are to choose two for your character and add them to your character sheets under a new category labeled "Magic". As the RP progresses and the characters grow stronger, you'll be able to add more spells, but here's the other twist. The legends in the RP note that a significant price had to be paid amongst the branded to use magic. That price is vitality. Using magic shortens the lifespan of the branded user. Every time your character decides to use a spell, for example, you'll be risking the chance to be randomly knocked unconscious and/or injured. The story effect of this price will unfold over time, but that's the immediate effect in combat. I'm gonna start work on this magic section tonight, but it might not be up until tomorrow.

Finally, relationships. The characters have been part of the Kingsglaive for three years at the open of the RP and they have completed many missions together. They don't live together, but are called upon when a mission requiring their skill arises. Each member has a cover job (this can be whatever you want) as they can't be part of any regular military lest their true identities be revealed. If you guys want, you can work out some specific quirks of association between your characters before the RP goes live tomorrow. If not, we can just improvise in the IC (mentioning old missions, speaking informally, etc.).

I think that's all I got for now. If any of you guys have questions, don't hesitate to ask me. Oh, and one more thing actually:

So, the sheets came flying in faster than I could freakin' anticipate. I really appreciate all the interest shown and all the submissions I got. It was a pleasure reading every single one of them, but it pains me to say that the final spot has been filled. I apologize to those that were in the midst of working on their sheets as it was a bit of a catch 22: I couldn't put people on hold who had satisfactory character sheets as well wait for those who I was interested in to finish their sheets up. Again, I sincerely thank everyone for the submissions, but our cast has now been filled!

The submission period is ended, but if there is ever an expansion (which if we get far enough there will be) I'll come looking my submissions up that just barely didn't make it in.

As for my cast, I'll have some information for you guys in a separate post in this thread in a few.

I can answer that now. It will be revealed a bit more when the origins of Kingsglaive comes to light, but this is easy enough.

The current team has been together for about 3 years. They should knew each other well enough to be on a first name basis and interact naturally, but anything beyond that will be up to the main cast once the submission period is ended. Hope that answered your question!

EDIT - There is now only one remaining spot open! A few of the approved have not added their characters to the character tab yet which is why the OP does not reflect this. When they do, the OP cast list will reflect the accurate open spots.

Ho ho, good question. I actually need to add the "Religion" section to the OP, but I'll gladly answer this question now. The Idols each link to a specific element and are as follows:

Ramuh - Undisclosed
Bahamut - Lightning
Ifrit - Fire
Titan - Earth
Leviathan - Water
Odin - Air
Etro - Holy

I'll shed more light on the Idols in the upcoming Religion section as this actually reminded me about that haha.

To all the people who have sent me characters via PM thus far, I'll look at them when I get back. I have to attend to some business at the moment, but I'll be back shortly.

Also, I made an edit to the character sheet that I think I forgot to mention, my bad lol. It's a small thing really - in your history sections, don't make any mention of how your character joined the Kingsglaive. Just give me some of their history in general.
