Yes we will Kuro, Wednesday evening. I'm trying to give everyone a chance to wrap up whatever they have started with other players.

And yup Justric, there likely are a few orphans there. There are something like 6,700 human beings remaining alive. But at the time this starts, the vast majority (except mission essential, pregnant women or anyone under the age of 2) are in cryostasis. Because many of the living are from a military base, ethnic diversity is pretty much a given, though it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine the genetic banks would hold more than simply the DNA of those there at the time.
Yes, I know. *sweet smile*
Heh... Do you REALLY want to know... ? *grins with visions of Soylent Green*

I kid - yes, that is it, in essence: coffin out the air lock. Everyone's genetic material has already been sampled and stored in each of the five sections, and the possibility of cloning for future genetic diversity is always an option. :)
Well you know, kinda the same way we know everyone in an RP uses the bathroom, but we normally don't... Ah... Go all into it? I'm perfectly content to skip over whether or not Mowzer's an un-neutered Tom and not think too hard on cat spray there...

And as far as how likely anyone is to die in stasis? I'm going to go with near impossible of "natural causes." There is no aging in cryostasis - although there are exceptions for allowing people into stasis. These exceptions would be a pregnant woman, and anyone under the age of two years. So yes, that does mean there is a small population of either pregnant women (pregnant at the time Copernicus departed, or become pregnant during the previous shifts), or mothers with children too young to be put into stasis quite yet.
Sorry, I'm afraid so Hellis. RoadRash was simply someone we weren't sure was going to have the time to join, but then it turns out he did!
Welcome to Kings, RoadRash - so glad to have you!

eta: And nope, I can't see the pic either D:
Beautiful T - all around beautiful, in every last way, in character and out *hugs tightly* Thank you.
Yes of course, along with T, I do have another post to add here as well before Pieces is wrapped up I love seeing things come full circle!
PMs have been sent out RR, to you and Idle - pending your response.

And Deli's fantastic Dot - I love how everything "shook out" for her. And fingers crossed here on the East Coast for you too today! *hugs*
Well Kuro, I mean the people in those diagrams looked like they were made out of cardboard too - I think that was all part of being part of a diagram thingy! Though yeah, the beds look comfy - but why not? Who says the end of the world has to be all... Discomfiting?

Loving on Deli's new look Dot, but yes, you already know that too! I'm headed off to bed, but I wanted to leave you all the very best of thoughts for your first day tomorrow!
