"Welcome to New Haven and congratulations on the best decision of your life! Here, in New Haven, we guarantee safe living from the chaotic war zone that is America. Once the elevator reaches its destination below, you will receive several security prompts. Please follow these commands thoroughly to ensure the most optimal experience here at New Haven."
The happy, yet hollow female voice left the air, and the elevator went silent. The couple, young and attractive, stood silent, holding one another's hand in excitement and uncertainty. After the various bombings of the east coast, they had decided to sell everything they had to live in this bomb shelter. Luckily, it wasn't very expensive. Their families told them their decision was brash and naive, but they didn't care. They would safe. They would be together.
When the elevator finally reached its lowest point underground, a ding broke the silence, and the doors slide open. Stepping out of the elevator, they found themselves in a small room, bare except for a shelf to their right and a small hole in the wall to their left. The elevator doors slide closed behind them and began its ascent to the surface once more. The couple looked at each other, unsure of what to do next, when another voice, this time male, whined through unseen speakers.
"Please remove all of your clothing and place them in the receptacle."
The couple looked at each other. They were good Christians and hadn't seen each other naked before! The young man turned away, blushing. After awkwardly maneuvering themselves around the room as to always have their backs to each other, they removed their clothes and put them in the hole in the wall. Almost directly after the last set of clothes was deposited, the voice sounded again.
"Now, will applicant MARY LANE lay on the x-ray table for several moments to be scanned for any foreign objects."
Mary laughed. She couldn't help but think about people who might try to smuggle crack-cocain in through their anus. After laying on what appeared to be a normal shelf for a moment, the voice instructed her that the scan was complete. Next was JON SNIPER.
Finally, the scans were done.
"Next is the sterilization process."
Sterilization? Mary glanced at Jon, but his back was turned respectfully. In the next moment, the white lights became a flooding red, and an odd mist began to spray on them. Mary couldn't take it anymore. She ran to Jon for him to hold her.
"I don't like it!" She said. He smoothed her hair and told her everything was fine. "Just imagine it as using hand-sanitizer, except on our whole body."
Several minuted later, the lights returned to normal and the mist stopped. A ding sounded from the speakers and a door that the two had previously overlooked popped open. The two, now holding hands tightly despite their lack of clothing, proceeded. In the next room, they were relieved to find new sets of clothing. They donned the clothes quickly, before waiting for further instructions. Upon slipping on her last shoe, Mary jumped at the sound of a new voice.
"Through this last door is New Haven. Your homes are as follows: Apartment A, number 5. The passcode to enter your apartment is as follows: 1279. Once inside, you will find 3 key cards, for easier access to your homes. Enjoy your stay and god bless you."
---Today is the first day you're moving into the bomb shelter called New Haven. Unlike many other bomb shelters, this one is more like a city. Built far underground, it is safe from the effects of any nuclear warfare. Despite the growing discontent between the nations above, and the small skirmishes that are seemingly going to lead into a much bigger war, many people still don't want to abandon their homes to live underground. Most think it's mad. But not you! Luckily, since it takes such a specific person to buy into one of these places, it was cheaper than the shitty apartment you were probably living in.

New Haven
****************
Well, despite the cheap price, the place is pretty nice! The company that built it did a good job making it look as natural as possible. Grass, trees, and even a small lagoon exists within. The ceiling is a giant LED that shows clouds lazily passing in the day, and stars slowing orbiting at night. The place is even set to have different temperatures for not only day and night, but for seasons as well (even getting to the point of discomfort on some days). While it doesn't snow, it does rain every now and then, which usually drains into the lagoon fairly well.
Most of the foliage is kept alive via full-spectrum light bulbs that are strategically placed in the ceiling. How there is a small farm that recieves light and water from a mechanical system only two feet above it.
In regards to the buildings, they are made to appear as a mix of modern and natural, using a mix of metal and wood surfaces, albeit in different ratios. There's a variety of buildings to meet various humans needs.

Rules
***********
1. I know you know all these rules, but I ask that you read them anyways.
2. I reserve the right to change these rules when I feel it is needed. I shall not abuse this rule, and I will let everyone know when I change something here.
3. God Modding/Autohitting: I dont expect it to be a problem in this Role Play, but I shall say it anyways- don't do it. To be more specific, in regard to auto-hitting, there
is some room here. If you have a gun point blank at someone's head, whether it is an NPC or PC, you
will hit them, and thus autohitting would be allowed. If you're a PC, don't let yourself get into the position to be autohit. It's that simple. If there is a problem with god modding or autohitting, I shall use my discretion.
4. Use profanity if you want. Don't abuse it though.
5. If I want to read porn, I will go else where. Thus, take anything past kissing to PMs.
6. To ensure that you read this, do
not leave the notes section blank. You will not be accepted until this condition is met.
7. If any of these rules are broken, I may use my discretion in deciding proper punishment. Punishment may range from a warning to being removed from the role play.
8. Remember to have fun!

RPG Name: Raven_Operative
Character Name: Fen Jatmoore
Age: 26Gender: Female
Personality: Very outgoing and adventurous. Loves to talk/haggle, and is usually getting into all sorts of mischief (though not causing any permanent damage). Her decision making process is usually like this: Is it fun? -> if yes -> LETS DO IT!
Background: Fen never did particularly well at school, greatly preferring to skip, goof off, and generally do anything BUT sit still and study. After high school, she decided to forgo university or college education, and roamed where ever the wind took her. Backpacking around Europe, she made her living doing odd jobs as she moved from town to town. Occasionally, she would stay for a month or two, if the work she was being paid for was steady, allowing her to save up a decent amount of money. Out of necessity, she lived as a pauper, buying the cheapest clothing, cheapest food, and living in the cheapest motels, in order to allow her to stretch her meager income and allow her to continue traveling. Her lifestyle wasn't glamorous, but the ability to keep moving on to new and more exciting places meant that Fen was quite happy with living like this, at least for the time being.
Eventually she came back to North America, fleeing the instability and violence that was plaguing Europe - a backpacker had no real lifeline in the case of a war. However, when she arrived, she found that while it was better, it was still a relatively dangerous and unstable place. It seemed like the whole world was going to shit, and that worried Fen. For the first time in her life, she actually settled down and thought about her future. Working a job that payed just slightly above minimum wage, she settled in a small farming community, saving up as much as she could. She had heard about this new city sized bomb shelter called 'New Haven', via some rumors from hunters and what she found on the internet in the public library. When a small skirmish broke out a few miles away from the town she was staying in, she decided that this bomb shelter would probably be the best place for her to live. She had nothing tying her down, and she had already grown tired of fleeing towns on the edge of conflict as a way of life during her time in Europe. No, now it was time for her to find someplace safe that she could stay in. Her wanderlust had subsided somewhat, and she was looking forward to a place she could stay where she knew she would be safe, at least for a while.
The price point was also a major bonus. Fen could only save up so much on her minimum wage pay, but even she would be able to afford living in this shelter. With that in mind, Fen took a few days off work to get the paperwork all sorted out, and was eventually granted entry as one of New Haven's newest inhabitants.
Connections: While Fen met a lot of people in her backpacking days, none of them would probably remember her, nor would she remember them. It is safe to say she has no connections to speak of.
Notes: Yes, I did read the rules. Fen has no real intellectual skills to speak of, but she is more physically fit and stronger than the average woman, due to the exertion required when traveling on foot from place to place.
Character Name: Lara Freevale
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Personality: Crude, snarky and blunt. Not much of a talker, prefers to sit and paint or read. Very interested in the war but had to come to New Haven after family passed away. Background: Lara grew up a wild child and despite going to the best available schools, didn't achieve much through schooling. She was a smart girl she was just easily bored by school.
At the age of 15, when skipping school one day, she came across soldiers preparing their gear in an old warehouse. Instantly, she was hooked. She became entranced by fighting, war machines and the different weapons. Eventually she joined the Army and despite being young at the age of 19, she moved up the ranks to being a captain of her own small group. Her life fell apart in her eyes when she was hit in the chest by a bullet, damaging her heart and lungs. She was ordered to leave the Army and upon discovering her family had been killed in the war, was moved on to New Haven. She spends her time in New haven painting or reading, not conversing with other residents. She found people boring; she missed the fighting, the rush of adrenaline she felt in the war. It was a memory to her now, she was stuck underground. At least it was safe; food was plentiful as rations were fair, it was clean and there was plenty of entertainment facilities.
She'd have to grow used to her new home, one day.
Connections: No connections - family are dead and no current friends.
Notes: Lara may have been a fighter and retain some skills but she weak in her chest, and requires time to rest due breathing troubles.
RPG Name: Embrz
Character Name: Markus Montgomery
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Personality: Pleasant, but very reserved. Markus is an enjoyable conversationalist, but a hard person to actually strike up a conversation with. He's the kind of person that will show up at a social function and sit quietly in the corner, waiting to be approached. He follows the "think before act/speak" mantra closely.
Background: Markus excelled through high school as the varsity football jock, prom king, and easily the most popular person in school. He was funny and lovable, smart and athletic. His grades were phenomenal, and his ability on the field was spectacular. Markus enjoyed his success with the constant acknowledgement that it would be short-lived and temporary. He lived high school to the fullest, enjoying every last second of it until it was over.
Straight out of high school, Markus joined the army. Naturally, his brilliant mind and superb physical ability stood out among the rest. Everywhere he went, he found himself as the smartest, the strongest, the fastest, the brightest. He quickly became the army's golden boy, with a near perfect success rate on assignments and absolute respect from both his peers and commanding officers. He rose through the ranks and before he knew it, the army was funding him through his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Economics before bringing him back for special forces training. And as always, Markus excelled. He completed training as expected and was quickly assigned to his first mission rotation.
But on that first mission, everything changed for Markus. He was assigned to a small raid in the hopes of "finding and destroying any and all enemy intel and resources" according to the mission briefing. Upon arrival, however, their mission was drastically changed by their commanding officer: they were told to level and burn the entire town and all its inhabitants in an attempt to intimidate the enemy into submission. Markus complied with his orders, but was traumatized by the experience. As the nuclear warheads were launched for the first time, Markus abandoned his post in the army seeking an answer to the many questions the raid had produced. After several months of wandering, he found himself at New Haven.
Connections: Nada.
Notes: Markus doesn't like blank notes sections, especially when he's asked to fill in the notes section.
