Usually I have my time mage function similarly to a healer at first who can reverse time to heal wounds. In fact, the character often thinks of his/herself as a healer and discovers her other abilities later (think of Otihime's healing from Bleach). I usually make it so that I can only speed/slow/reverse time in a small sphere close to my body. The further extended the sphere is from my body, the more energy it takes. The larger the sphere, the more energy. The faster/slower the time difference is, more energy. Controlling multiple spheres is near impossible as it takes exponentially increased amounts of energy to perform.

Think of it as a power that starts off extremely weak but, given enough time and training, can be immensely strong. However, Ive never gotten far enough in an RP for the power to develop it past initial stages. :/

Also, taking time off of one's own life might not be drastic enough because, effectively, there isnt a kick back at all.

Even if I cant be a time mage, Im still interested. :)
The zombie survival thing is really only to give a reason as to why theyre there and can't leave. :P
Oh... I feel like Im slowly losing respect here, hahaha!
Id love to play a character that uses magic (yes, I read what you had to say about it). I typically like to play a time-mage which people often assume will be OP. Thus, Im used to having limiters that, say, make my character obscenely exhausted when trying to cast, yknow, anything.
Soooo, this is an original story, right? I just kinda glanced over it and didnt recognize any of it.

Either way, paint me interested.
Check my edit above. Also, whats CoS?

Does there have to be one >.> Lol CANT WE JUST GO TO SCHOOL and yeah i was gonna bring up that Griffindor is a Lion.

So almost like slice of life? Id rather there be someeething. Though, I was thinking something like in The Chamber of Secrets where there's some weird/funky stuff going on around the school and we'd somehow get involved in it all.

Funny thing is, I was literally looking at an image of the 4 and literally SAW the lion and STILL thought it was a griffon, hahaha. Im dumb. :P

EDIT: It bothers me how perfect a lion is for the Griffindor house. Like, there arent any other animals that make me think of courage more than a damn lion... Though, a horse does somewhat remind me of chivalry.

Also, kind of going down the same vein of doing a plant theme, we could do an object theme? Like, maybe Griffindors are a sword, hufflepuffs are a shield, ravenclaws are books, and slytherins are... idk... JUST A THOUGHT! :P

(Hogwarts house mascots go: Lion, Serpent, Badger, Eagle)Magical mascot suggesgions: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, Multi-Tailed Fox ;)American animal mascots: Wolf, Elk/Moose, Bobcat/Mountain Lion, FoxThe only problem with havng every year up for grabs is that it will be very hard to have eleven year olds hang out with seventeen year olds.

I lol'd. I dont know whyyy I had this idea that Griffindor had a griffin. :P

Also, the younger students dont always have to hang out with the older ones. However, they would interact in different places very much like the professors would interact with the students. I think several people want to play more than one character (professors and/or students).

Also, we're forgetting to work on a quite crucial point... THE PLOT, hahaha. What kind of conflict might we want to see?

Perhaps we're not students at all, but a large, diverse group of people from all walks of life who have all ended up somewhere together, for different reasons. Perhaps this place is not as it seems to be. Throw some mystery in the mix. Who are all of these people? Where did they come from? Why are they here? Are they really who they say they are?I'd be intensely interested in something like that.

Being stranded on an island is the simplest thing that comes to my mind. However, even that can have a twist put on it. Maybe its not an island theyre stranded on, but theyre trapped elsewhere. Maybe theyre holed up in a giant mall because of the obvious zombie apocalypse. Maybe theyre stuck in a weird castle having been magically transported there. Idk, these things function in a very similar way but can be vastly different.

That being said, some people just want to live it up in a dorm and dont want more than that.
I know Im not in this yet (making a cleric soon) but I think a new thread would probably be best. That way if the OP ever goes missing, the DM still has control of the first page. Plus, its really not that big of a deal/a lot of work to make a new thread.
