We've already determined he's a soulless devil.

:/ Something like that. Seems like kind of a negative guy (girl?) to me.

Yeah, I know, But his last name is Frankenstein. And he created the monster.
Not sure. But when it showed flashbacks of him, Spirit called him Franken. And they looked like they were both around 11. Maybe born with the name. Although, he could have changed his last name to Stein later on. What I want to know is, how did he get that giant friggin bolt stuck in his head? O.o

People say they'll fight on the internet all the time, but most really won't if they had the chance.

Yeah, I still don't understand (I just thought you missed the point I was trying to make with the whole "Franken Stein" thing, I wasn't fighting), but whatever, doesn't matter.

:) He's obviously a medical genius, so he used SCIENCE! He surgically connected it to the inside of his brain to make himself smarter, cause he's a crazy dude.
I, um, I don't get it. What do you mean, Jivusa?
...which remained nameless. It was simply "the creature". Doctor Frankenstein's name was Victor.

EDIT: What I mean is, how did he get that name? Did he read the book and change it, like Soul changed his? Does the book even exist in the Soul Eater universe?
Heh. I love the ridiculous names some of the characters have... I mean, in what other story would a character literally named "Franken Stein" play such an integral and emotional role in the plot?
Don't wait for me, Sep. My characters in the works, but I hate being the reason why a game doesn't start. Get things going whenever you're ready, and I'll catch up. My character will be separated from the others at first, anyway, so she can come in at any time.

So, my conclusion:
Eli will remain Autonomous, though will be weaker as Autonomous. No use of soul wavelength at all. He will remain a sword, because 'dat backstory tho'. Will not really have a Meister because 'do not want'. If someone is dying to make a Meister for him, though, I guess he can be their partner, as well as fighting himself, Autonomously.

Is everybody happy?

If he's NOT, I don't think it matters. He isn't going to be fighting anyone or going on missions anyway, so having a Meister is more of a formality.
-sigh- That's exactly the point. They don't fight alone, they fight together. That's how every single Meister/Weapon pair in the series fights. Together.

Being a Demon Weapon does not automatically mean you cannot be a Meister, and vice versa. They are two separate things, with two separate roles. Being an autonomous Weapon, on the other hand, requires entirely outstanding power, and being an autonomous Meister requires the same.

EDIT: This is why Maka's autonomous Weapon-ness at the end of the anime is rather disappointing. She hadn't earned that, there wasn't any build up to it, nothing. It was just pulled out of thin air, and because the manga went on without any mention of it, it seems ridiculous in hindsight.

Liz and Patty wield one another, so clearly a weapon can use a weapon, which tells me that weapons can utilize their spiritual wave length; but just like how 99 percent of humans don't have the overwhelming gifts of people like black star and Stine, the same can be said for weapons and most are better utilized in a team as the amplifier.

:) Yes! Thank you, Kilt, I knew there was an example I wasn't thinking of. It's not that being a Weapon means you cannot have a soul wavelength, it's that without a weapon, you cannot do anything with your soul wavelength (or at the very least, you cannot optimize it; Black Star and Stein both use Weapons constantly). You can be both a Meister and a Weapon at the same time, ala the sisters in the above (as they had been using each other for years before Kid ever met them), but that doesn't mean you can be autonomous as either.

EDIT: And none of this even gets into magic, and what's possible with that...

What's my oppinion? That Justin was an autonomous weapon? That's not an opinion, that's a fact that was directly stated by Stein in the manga. Just about the time he started beating the shit out of him with Marie.

No, your opinion is that the direction they went with Maka at the end of the anime is valid and not disappointing. Cirus' is that is was not valid and it was disappointing.

The fact that Justin is autonomous is just that, and isn't at all what we have been talking about. No one ever doubted that Justin had always been autonomous.
