Taylor smiled when she heard Josh's approaching footsteps, peeking over her shoulder slightly to see him coming up beside her. She offered him a shy, friendly grin before turning her attention back in front of her as she walked along the shore with him and her dog. Sadie looked like she wanted to be let loose, which only made Taylor smile a little more. She nodded her head once and told her dog, 'okay', to which Sadie immediately bolted off, running through the water ahead of them. Josh's question forced a bright red blush to come to her cheeks, thinking of what Olivia had meant when
she mentioned being on Cloud Nine. Taylor brushed her hair behind her ear and looked over at Josh.
"Long as you're with me, I think I'll manage." That made her turn into a tomato. Luckily for her, she managed to turn her gaze elsewhere before doing so. As if to correct herself, she immediately added,
"I-I mean, you know. On Cloud 9. Long as we're both there, I'll be fine."Taylor looked behind them and watched Olivia petting a dark red dog and raised an eyebrow slightly, thinking to herself,
'I knew it!! ...but why go to the effort of pretending to be a dog?' She eyed Cliff in his dole wolf form, slightly frowning. Part of her wanted to corner him later and ask if he was the one who'd done it all, but just looking at his wolf form.. it didn't seem capable of taking on a full-grown man, or dragging a teenage girl off into the woods. Taylor shook the thoughts from her head and turned back to Josh, stepping a bit closer to him, nudging him with her shoulder playfully.
"You sure you can handle being out here? What if I'm the wolf of Red Lake, and this was my plan to get you out here, all along.. so I could take you, too?" She giggled lightly.

Declan took a look at his phone as it vibrated, checking the message from Gwen. He narrowed his eyes at the screen and decided not to reply back, just returning his phone back to his pocket without another word. He looked up at the entrance of the mine and studied it for a moment, contemplating on whether or not to go in. It'd be a quick check, so he wouldn't have to suffer around the presence of the silver for long, but would it be worth it if Gwen wasn't even inside? Not really. A voice from off to the side startled Declan, causing him to take a step back closer to Finley with his arm halfway stretched out in a protective manner. He wasn't sure if he'd let a growl out
(he did), or not, but his lip and nose were curled up into a snarl. As soon as he saw it was hunters, he quickly turned his curled lip into a grin.
"Ho, fellas." ("Ho" is just another way Declan says "hi")The man who spoke up in the group made eye contact with the two of them as they moved closer, Declan's smile faltered just slightly at the name 'kids'. He simply shrugged it off, though and began to answer the man before Finley spoke up first. He nodded in agreement with what she offered the men for directions and food choices, smirking slightly at her sarcasm.
"I have to agree. There's quite a number of places to eat. If y'all plan on spending the night, try the cafe in the morn'. Best bacon and eggs this side of the county!"As he was talking, Declan realized he hadn't heard the hunters coming down the mountain. Was the silver effecting him so bad that his senses were being thrown off? What if his sense of smell was out of whack as well, and Gwen actually
was here? Suddenly Declan felt a bit down, but just as soon as he did, it was gone. Another thought bringing up a solid point.
She never denied that she wasn't there when he accused her of lying about it. She'd completely ignored his previous text and sent another. Was she hoping he'd just put it behind him and be okay with it all? No. He'd make it a point to confront her about it later. What was she
really doing, then, if not here and lying to her friends? Hmm.
