A few years later I signed up in the Army and then found myself in one of the hundreds of "Relocation Centers" I was supposed to lend a hand to them, make them feel like Americans again. But then it all went to hell again, now its almost like a prison. I'm afraid everyday, its almost like if I'm stepping into another country."

This is the first RP I make on this site, not the first RP I've ever made, I have experience despite my freshness to the site so I hope people do not judge out of the lack of posts and time on the site. I simply want to see if this RP can be more successful than it was on another site, I hope people understand that and jump in, if you do then I appreciate it and I hope you have fun. Thank you.
Premise
8 years have passed since the beginning of the HVV-2 outbreak in 2019, others know it as the vampire pandemic, or even the end of times. Regardless, after years of social conflict, political tension and uncertainty, the fear of vampirism has never been as high as it is now. Suspicion of another all out rebellion are in the midst of both the humans and the vampires as a fragile peace and tranquility becomes ever so more fragile. What side will prevail in this looming war between two species? With another uprise becoming more and more of a danger, what side will people take? Where will their loyalties lie on? What values will die and what ideologies will rise? It’s up to you to decide.
This is a Character based RP with some Faction elements added in. Its focused on the L.A. Containment Zone where the spirit of revolt grows everyday. Depending on what faction you choose, you will have to follow a set of objectives in order to assure your side a victory and therefore affect the overall endgame of the RP which culminates in an inevitable revolt of the vampires, the scale and success of this revolt will depend on the player's actions. Several world events will occur through the RP at random, how these events affect your character and his faction and to what degree will vary and your character must react to it accordingly. Depending on who completes their objectives first, it will also affect the faction they are directly in conflict with, which will sum up to the endgame. In the end, depending on the objectives each side completes it will sum up to how it affects the end of the RP and how the world will be shaped because of it.

2019: June: First documented case of HVV-2. Patient Alan Whitman becomes the first known infected of the new vampirism strain in the US and is put in quarantine. August: 50 more cases of HVV-2 in Michigan, 73 in California, 89 in New York. CDC declares HVV-2 a national outbreak. The US government closes the country's borders. November: Infected of HVV-2 start experiencing several psychical mutations not only in the US but all over the world. Martial Law is declared all over the US.
2020: January: CDC and FEMA are given authority by the US government to begin all necessary prevention methods to contain the virus. April: Infected of HVV-2 begin demonstrating increased aggression, widespread attacks all over the world begin to take place. Riots in major cities. June: CDC continues efforts to find a vaccine to the virus. US mobilizes all available military forces to reinstate order. July: FEMA camps are opened through the US as all citizens are scanned for possible infection. October: US military is able to reestablish order in most US states and major cities as attacks become less sporadic and widespread. Non violent infected are rallied and set under FEMA jurisdiction. November: Hundreds of thousands of US citizens have contracted HVV-2, they are relocated to designated FEMA camps overseen by the US military.
2021: January: CDC develops a deterrent injection, though it does not cure the disease it quells most symptoms as well as further mutations as long as its taken from the first to second stages of the virus. The deterrent is named "Vamp Deter" and the US government approves its mass production. March: First Vamp Deter injector shipments arrive to FEMA camps. Most victims of the virus take the deterrent, several individuals become skeptical or outright refuse to take it and become violent. Cases of attacks on FEMA and military personnel arise. July: Vamp Deter becomes mass produced and most victims of the virus take it without trouble. Shipments of the deterrent are sent to the rest of the world as NATO, the UN, and the WHO move to reestablish order. November: Under fear of further violence, the US government declares that anyone infected with HVV-2 will not be relocated back to civilian life until a vaccine is developed and the violent infected are quarantined. Amid protests by the infected, FEMA camps remain functional as new plans are set in motion to relocate the infected population. December: On Christmas, several revolts begin to take place in the FEMA camps. None are successful and plans for relocation are sped up by not only the US but all over the world.
2022 February: The US government announces plans to establish Relocation Zones in several urban centers around the US under military jurisdiction. These zones begin construction under designated districts in several US cities like L.A., Chicago, Boston, and several other cities in order to reestablish calm and order in the infected populous. June: Relocation zones are established, large walls and fences are enacted around designated districts and infected relocation begins under careful watch of the US military. July: Relocation Zones are populated with people of their native states. Job programs and humanitarian aid is developed for the people living in these zones. The president establishes the Department of Vampire Detection and Management, the DVDM is given authority over these Relocation Zones as well as the social programs to give these victims of the virus a normal life, the US military is only given limited authority, as FBI agents are dispatched to guard these zones. September: Protests erupts as attacks are reported on several cities through the US, most prevalent in areas close to Relocation Zones. DVDM authorizes military jurisdiction over the Relocation Zones despite protest by the vampire community. November: The Vampire Rights Association is established by Victoria Melody, a non infected lawyer focused on human rights.
2023: January: After an increase in vampire attacks, the DVDM announces that Relocation Zones are to be renamed Containment Zones, all programs that allow infected individuals to have jobs outside of these zones are to be revised for change in order to assure the security of non infected individuals. February: the US government begins to enact imminent domain over populated areas around Containment Zones in order to lower the chances of attack. Private companies and businesses begin to enact anti vampire policies. March: The DVDM decides to rescind all social programs that allow infected individuals to commute outside Containment Zones. Protest and riots erupt inside the Containment Zones. June: Amid rising legal action against the US government as well as mostly fear by the population over another vampire outbreak, the US senate moves add a new amendment, the 36th amendment which would give the US government supreme authority over infected individuals that though peaceful may pose a threat to the US in any shape, way or form. It passes all barriers fairly quickly despite some resistance by the Vampire Rights Association and limited resistance by a reluctant ACLU. August: Congress passes the Vampire Registration Act. All those afflicted with Vampirism are subjected to registration with the DVDM, several restrictions on constitutional rights are set, particularly the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th amendments. September: All Containment Zones are sealed up from the local population and visits are carefully controlled and strictly regulated.
2024: January: The CDC releases an update on HVV-2, several measures of prevention, symptoms, mutations, risks, stages of the virus etc. These measures are implemented on the US military for management of the containment zones. April: Revolt in the Containment Zone in Chicago leads the US military and the DVDM to set up harsher measures of control. Crackdown on contraband all over Containment Zones begins, sparking protest from the VRA with minimal results. August: After a resounding speech by VRA leader Victory Melody pleads with all nations following containment policies to ease restrictions on the HVV-2 afflicted population which now makes up at least 10% of the world population. Most nations, including the US, ignore the plea. November: US government allows humanitarian personnel from the UN to be deployed in limited number across Containment Zones. Efforts for home building, food distribution, and other humanitarian projects begin.
2025: January: On the first day of the year a bomb detonates at the UN building in New York during a session of the Vampire Affairs Committee. Several other terrorist attacks occur throughout the world. February: A Vampire insurgent group calling themselves the Total Eclipse claims responsibility for the January Attacks, sparking fear and paranoia on the human world population. Immediate crackdown operations by the Interpol, CIA, and other agencies begin. June: The Total Eclipse strikes again, several Containment Zones see sporadic attacks on military personnel. Civilian areas see attacks during the nights committed by what can only be feral vampires. August: Growing fear over attacks see the National Guard taking over policing duties across several US cities with Containment Zones as US army and marines begin operations to find and destroy Total Eclipse assets. September: Riots by the vampire population take over several Containment Zones. Many of these riots are led by Total Eclipse members. October: A massive rebellion throughout Containment Zones in the US and through the world begins. Militaries are taken by surprise as even the Vampire civilian population takes part of the rebellion and several Zones are breached either from the inside or outside. Hundreds of Vampires escape into the cities. November: US army fights back the rebellions which are mostly taking place in the East and West coast cities. Attacks on civilians rise as the death toll on both sides rises as well. December: US government approves the fire bombing and shelling of the Containment Zones of LA, Denver, Salt Lake city, Tucson, Houston, and Boston. The rebellion ends with all civilians taking part of it surrendering saddened by the destruction and killing of so many vampires. The Total Eclipse continues to be operate as an insurgency cell.
2026: January: Several areas of the bombed Containment Zones are rendered as No-Go zones, feral vampires, and Total Eclipse forces inhabit these areas illegally despite military efforts to drive them out. Most civilians that took part of the fighting are pardoned and relocated back into the reconstructed parts of the Containment Zones. April: Attacks by the Total Eclipse continue, though on smaller scales. VRA leader Victoria Melody is arrested after an unregistered vampire speaks at a rally event in Sacramento. July: The Department of Homeland Security discloses info on the existence of a new Vampire organization known only as the Sanguis Unionis, a Vampire supremacy cult which whereabouts and functionalities the FBI and the DHS have little to no info on. October: CDC begins operating at several Containment Zones, with an effort to better comprehend Vampirism and combat the virus. Jonathan Pierce, a former California senator rises to become the new leader of the VRA. December: Multiple attacks by the Total Eclipse force the US military to increase presence in Containment Zones in Washington, California and Arizona.
2027: January: Victoria Melody is convicted with harboring of dangerous individuals and is sentenced to 5 years in jail. February: Current time.
US Military: The backbone of the entire US government reaction to the HVV-2. The military constitutes of several branches that span a large variety of task across both the world and the United States as a whole. The National Guard has been federalized in the states with the most Containment Zones and the Army has taken over basic security functionalities of these zones, providing security, and support to all other agencies and organizations that are involved in combatting HVV-2. The Air Force has taken a much more offensive approach, having firebombed several areas of different rebellious Containment Zones during the Uprisings of 25, it also has taken the fight elsewhere in other countries and regions to help fight off the disease, especially Ferals in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. The Navy has effectively sealed the country and along the coast guard monitors for any smuggling and makes sure no vessels make it to US ports without due inspection of infection. Several assets of the Special Forces of all branches have also been deployed both at home and abroad to conduct special operation against vampirism. Objectives: TBA
FBI: The investigative branch of the government. The FBI has its own division regarding crimes and cases involving vampirism, they constantly monitor containment zones for any insurrectionist or dangerous activities. For years they had done this even before the Uprisings, with them now acting on daily basis to make sure all future terrorist attacks or murders on uninfected are foiled. They work hand in hand with the DVDM and are provided much support by the Military. Objectives: TBA
UN: The UN though having taken a tough stance on HVV-2 at the beginning of the pandemic has gradually lost much support after its switch of platforms. Alongside the WHO they are constantly calling for nations to lessen the harsh treatment of HVV-2 infected individuals, most nations have decided to ignore the UN in these calls, though the US along some other western nations have allowed the UN to send in unarmed blue helmets and other humanitarian personnel to provide help for the infected population, and working on finding a cure alongside the CDC and WHO. Many UN personnel works on Containment Zones providing, food, medicine, and other services to the infected population despite them being generally unarmed and under high pressure from the US military command. CDC: The Center for Disease Control is the organization that came up with the only effective medication against HVV-2. Back when the outbreak started, anyone infected with HVV would progressively mutate and advance in their illness until becoming feral, some quicker than others. The CDC had to come up with a deterrent of the infection and fast, a mutagen was acquired and the medication known as “Vamp-deter” was made, with Dr. Vincent Lee receiving a Nobel Prize and several other awards for his breakthrough. The CDC works alongside the Military and sometimes with the UN and WHO to combat the disease and work on a vaccine in order to eradicate the infection. Though most efforts have failed, the possibility for a vaccine is possible according to Dr. Lee himself. Vamp-deter doesn’t full on stop the disease, it simply prevents further mutation if the person taking it is on either stages 1 to early stages 3, though results may vary. Anyone with the disease has to take the medication and the CDC has taken extreme measures to make sure that is the case. They still invest much time into research for a vaccine to HVV-1, using test subjects from questionable source, as well as having a station in each CZ and helping the military deal with infestations and other problems within the CZ. DVDM (Department of Vampire Detection and Management): The agency that is in charge of the Containment Zones and by extend involved in all activities, investigations, operations, etc. involving vampirism. Though an extension of FEMA at first, and acting more as a humanitarian relief effort, the DVDM quickly evolved into its own federal agency, with agents dispatched in various locations across the country and acting alongside the Military, the FBI and even the CIA to combat the virus. The department is the one that decides the measures of security, protocols, and ways to combat the disease and all terrorist organizations involving it, with the help of the NSA, the DHS, and the FBI. The Military has also become the DVDM’s backing force that makes sure all procedures are followed within the CZ’s and order is kept within them as well. At any means necessary. Objectives: TBA
VRA (Vampire Rights Association): Founded after the DVDM’s order of military jurisdiction in the back then known as Relocation Zones, the VRA really took footing after the 36th amendment was passed. With Victoria Melody having led the effort of several law suits against both state and federal governments, the VRA has focused all its efforts in providing a legal fight against the government’s harsh methods of containing the virus. After the arrest and conviction of Melody, the organization has been led by Jonathan Pierce, and has experienced a harsh blows from the federal government, as well as dwindling support from the population due to fear and uncertainty. Reports say that there may be some involvement between the VRA and the Total Eclipse, these accusations however are yet to be proven by the FBI. Objectives: TBA
Humanity for Life (HoL): One of the strongest human-only, anti-vampire, and ultra-nationalists organization that rose up following the outbreak. The organization, or more like of a paramilitary, composed of members from militias, former military and law enforcement who supported the idea of a more pro-active and violent stances on the vampires, as well as citizens from various life and class. Despite their goal of "protecting the humanity from the vampires", it's more likely that their actual goal is "protecting their humanity from vampires and humans who aid the vampires". They have their own political wing which calls for the introduction of internment camps unlike the World War 2-versions for the Japanese-Americans, the militarization of the Containment Zones, and calls for genocide, even though the last idea is unanimously rejected. The organization is well-equipped, well-led, and already involved in clashes with Total Eclipse (their own antithesis), Sanguinis Unionis, and various agencies. Objectives: TBA Total Eclipse: One of the most infamous organization to appear from the outbreak. The Total Eclipse rose from a simple political movement led by vampires to a full blown armed militia. Led by several commanders, and spread across the US and parts of the western world, the Total Eclipse operates as an insurgency by the Vampire population, with several demands and goals. The Total Eclipse is believed to have a supreme leader of unknown identity, though the FBI has been working hard to crackdown on the organization it has become progressively difficult as the organization though once a numerous militia, since the Uprise of 25 has gone into hiding and operating within Containment Zones and the No Go Zones. Among their demands, is the repeal of the 36th amendment, the demilitarization of Containment Zones, and the allowance of the Vampire population to live among the rest of the population, one of their demands also calls for the disavowing of the DVDM. They are well armed, well equipped, led, and are in constant battle with the US military and the federal government as a whole. Due to the massive defeats back in the later days of the Uprise of 25, the Total Eclipse has been lowered to a shadow of its former self, with cells scattered across the country but most still operating under the Supreme Commander. Sanguis Unionis:The most recent, and perhaps most mysterious organization yet. Having been discovered in 2025 by the FBI and then uncovered to the rest of the world in 2026 the Sanguis Unionis, or simply known as “The Union” is a large cult of individuals afflicted with HVV-2. Led by a mysterious figure known as the “Master of All” the cult is a supremacist group that allegedly aims to destabilize the world governments in order to create a perfect society of vampires that will rule the earth and bend it to their own will without the unpureness of humanity. Believing themselves as separate species from Humans, the Union constantly infects people and brainwashes them to their ideology, they are not known for using any firearms, rather the use of vampire abilities and somehow many of them having avoided going feral despite their infection going above 4 where feralness starts to show. They are highly secretive and is likely they have human spies on their side. Objectives: TBA
Detail of Virus:The Human Vampire Virus-2, this virus mutated form the original strain of vampirism which was much more harmless and rare. Nobody knows the origins of the mutation, although deliberate manipulation has not been ruled out. The virus can be contracted through contact with blood and saliva. Direct infection through biting is one of the most common while scratches are not known to cause infection. The infection has affected people of all backgrounds of life, man and women, young and old, etc. As of 2025 the total world population has at least 10% of an infected population. The virus has created much fear from the general public and discrimination as well as prejudice has been widespread with reasoning of attacks that leave many dead rather than infected.
Stages of Virus: The virus has different stages which have varying degrees of mutation, however the pattern remains largely the same. The medication that prevents these mutation and symptoms cannot be taken by infected that are in advance stage 3, the body will violently reject the medication at that point.
Stage 1: This early stage of the virus is one of the hardest to notice at first, as the effects appear slowly. However, once they do there is no way not to notice something is wrong. -Body experiences several aches and muscles start to splin. -Canines become larger -Eyes develop a thinly red iris -Early signs of paranoia and increasing compulsive tendencies. Sudden violent spurs -Individual’s appetite grows
Stage 2:This stage is one that sees the most drastic changes. It's very noticeable for anyone to notice these symptoms and redflags of vampirism unless the individuals makes effort to hide them, as many have. -Blood develops a darker color and becomes thicker. -Body experiences several pains and abnormalities related to mutation. -Fangs begin to sharpen as molars also begin to grow in size. -Agility and body strength increases. -Eyes increase in their redness with a gleam in the dark. -Infected grows a craving for meats.
Stage 3: This becomes the point of no return for anyone with HVV. The body rejects the Vamp-Deter when the stage starts mutating into stage 4. Anyone captured with this affliction without taking medication is quickly apprehended and sent to detainment. -Eyes become full on red. -Many teeth begin to sharpen randomly. -Nails also grow longer and sharper. -Heightened senses. -Aggressiveness and lack of social skills. -Craving of blood, animal or human. -Animalistic tendencies of varying degree. -Dark blood. -Development of healing factor.
Stage 4:Anyone with this stage is considered dangerous by all federal agencies as well as the US military and considered beyond the point of detainment. Anyone with this stage is put down on sight. -Gradual loss of hair. -Paleness of skin. -Higher aggressiveness. -Set of sharpened teeth. -Razor sharp nails. -Keen senses. -Ears progressively sharpen. -Developing of UV light sensibility. -Mouth able to open wider, tongue becomes larger and longer.
Stage 5:This is the stage where most afflicted with it become feral. There is no reasoning with them, no way to bring them back, they are no longer considered human and should be put down without hesitation. However, reports of vampires keeping their conscious and intelligence beyond this stage are common. -High sensitivity to UV light that burns the skin. -Ability to take stance of that of an animal and run at incredible speed. -Higher jumping abilities. -Animalistic behavior. -Veiny skin -Lack of rational thinking. -High aggressiveness.
Stage 6: Nothing is known about this stage other that whoever has it has been able to surpass feralness and go beyond its abilities to an unknown potential. Its believed they are smarter and have the ability to camouflage as normal human beings or at least mimic stage 1 infection. In extreme dangerous level.
Vulnerabilities: Anyone afflicted with HVV has the same mortality as any human. Though between stages 3 to 5 the body develops a healing factor and high resistance to bullets. This has been countered by the US military by issuing many (though not all) of its firearms with specialized ammunition, rounds specifically designed to have an explosive punch to them which can help push back a vampire and even kill them at stages 3 to 4. In stage 5, the only known way to effectively kill a feral is through disabling the brain and burning the body. A fight hand to hand with a vampire could go either way, but unless one has any sort of training the advantages are highly pinned for the vampire so direct hand to hand fighting is not advised. UV lights sources are also provided to all forces in order to keep ferals at bay.[/box]

Rules and Character Sheet
1. Be respectful in the OOC, the usual stuff, you can be as much of a dick in the IC but keep a level head in the OOC. Any conflicts you may have with anyone else, be it a player, a Co-Op or the OP take it to the TGs please.
2. OP word is law, Co-Op's are law in OP's absence. Suggestions, constructive criticism, and new concepts are welcomed but the OP reserves the right to choose what and what not to do in those regards.
3. Don’t godmod, don’t metagame. Using the weaknesses either side has is okay, but don’t overstep. If your character in in a bad position, and there’s simply no way out they’ll die. Be ready to face the consequences of the events that take place.
4. Make your characters with realistic flaws, as much as they can have many good things you must equal it with bad things to them as well for sake of storytelling. No Mary of Garry Stues please, make your characters act in a believable way depending what faction you chose.
5. Do not have your character be savvy in weaponry all of a sudden if their role or job does not involve them using such weaponry. Make it feel dynamic and human.
6. Be detailed and creative. Mild control of NPC's is allowed. When in doubt, ask.
7. Post should be of adequate quality, please.
8. Three characters per player. The faction you choose you have to commit the character to what they are and the struggles they may face.

Other He's not able to understand human metaphors and takes things very literally. He likes to go around and hunt for small lizards which are his favorite snack. His father was a violent dragon that used violence at the slightest chance, Udur grew beyond that violent nature but he's no stranger to fighting when necessary.
